My parents recently divorced 2 years ago so i have beeen thro alot the last years going back and forth and i started swearing off and on trying to fit in but now i know i dont need to fit in with the world i need to fit in with god!
I struggled with hurting myself for nearly 8 yrs. I would cut, burn, starve myself and make myself sick because I hated who I was and didn't feel any love from my family. I even attempted suicide twice. I thought everyone was lying to me and because of how I saw myself I didn't think God or anyone could or would love me. I had a relationship with God but didn't see how he could love something as worthless as me. But he does and I haven't hurt myself in 2yrs & I am thankful he let me live

Why do people go off and start up a heated debate and ruin such a good song? If you don't believe in God, then that's your choice to make. No one is going to stop you, not even God himself. He gave everyone a free will, and it's up to you how to use that freedom, just note that there are consequences to everything you do, positive and negative. As Christians, it's our job to pray for those who are unable to see God's love, not argue with them about their lifestyle.

It takes JUST as much faith to believe there is no God, as it takes to believe in Him. And when you do find that there is a God, and that he is amazing, and worth living every second for, your life begins to reshape. Yeah. I started cutting, and I hope I can stop soon, or just not do it anymore at all. I have not done it often or for a long time so I might be able to quit it fairly easily.
I sang this song at my young adult retreat for church and i sware i though i was going to cry because it was hard for me to sing something that i didn't follow. I myself cut and have a eating disorder yet its still very hard for me to stop even though iv tried to give it all to God. I know one of these days i'll be better and i can let the world know that my God helped me through all of it.

wooo! this song healed me from my ed. i hurt my hip and was with a load of my christian friends and they decided they were going to heal it so we all sat pray with some worship music on my phone, and i felt some lump on my knee moving up my leg and it was almost at my hip and my friend says i dint think its just your hip hes going to heal, then this song came on and it carried moving to my hip and then up my back and to my heart and i havnt done anything since!! how so amazing GOD IS AMAZING!!!!

I've never had an eating disorder, but i've had other physcological disorders that people done just healp up with a day or anything like that from. I've always believed in God, but since i've been in college i've grown closer to Him. I've been healed from many of those disorders through much pain and anger. So, it isn't impossible it just takes time and faith.

Because I thought my image was to be found in the magazines, I thought my image and who I was supposed to be was found in the mirror and in the television. But you know guys, all it left me with was those eating disorders.
And all it left me with was an unhappiness with who God (really was) (--not sure about that one.) But God got ahold of me. And the last days I had eating disorders I was crying out to God, 'God either take my life or heal me'. this song helped me alot at being myself. i was afriad everyone wouldn't except me if hadn't been like everybody else. i went through depression and had a hard time being myself. if weren't for God I wouldn't have been able to be myself. wooo! this song healed me from my ed. i hurt my hip and was with a load of my christian friends and they decided they were going to heal it so we all sat pray with some worship music on my phone, and i felt some lump on my knee moving up my leg and it was almost at my hip and my friend says i dint think its just your hip hes going to heal, then this song came on and it carried moving to my hip and then up my back and to my heart and i havnt done anything since!! how so amazing GOD IS AMAZING!!!!

I hope He keeps doing that!! I have seen a few people with one of those disorders and I wanted to cry. Their skin was baggy and if you NEED to lose weight do it the healthy way. EXERCISE RULES!! :)

I've never had an eating disorder, but i've had other physcological disorders that people done just healp up with a day or anything like that from. I've always believed in God, but since i've been in college i've grown closer to Him. I've been healed from many of those disorders through much pain and anger. So, it isn't impossible it just takes time and faith.

And all it left me with was an unhappiness with who God (really was) (--not sure about that one.) But God got ahold of me. And the last days I had eating disorders I was crying out to God, 'God either take my life or heal me'. And he said, 'Becca I have made you in My image and in My image alone, and you are not to be looking to other people to see who you are supposed to be, I have created you in my likeness.' Amen!

this song helped me alot at being myself. i was afriad everyone wouldn't except me if hadn't been like everybody else. i went through depression and had a hard time being myself. if weren't for God I wouldn't have been able to be myself. I also thank the Barlow Girls for helping me relize, I don't need to change myself for anyone but jusy to be yourself and have fun in life no matter what happens. ^-^ ^_^ ^^ ^-~ ^_~ ^~

The very time i heard her testimony i cried. And like, i've never had an eating disorder,thank God. But i've dealt with poor self image before.
But i dont understand why she ever had one, she is so pretty from the inside out.
