Is there a way to accomplish a move of music to your xbox? I have tried many times and many avenues but have remained unsuccessful, please let me know if you know of any options I may not know about.
need help i got a new account but all the stuff i got off the marketplace is on my other account would this work to move stuff from one account to another ??:)

I currently have a slim with a 20gb hd and want to upgrade to 120gb. I'd like to transfer all of my content on the 20gb (fewer than 5gb) onto a 16gb usb, install the 120, then transfer all data up to the 120gb; all in the same console. Does this process work even for regular xbox saves? Do you see any concerns with this?
Xbox support has got inaccurate instructions. You need to put in the transfer cable (without the HDD attached) in to your new console. Turn it on and then attach the HDD to the transfer cable and the pop-up will appear. Do not attach the HDD to the transfer cable and then plug it in to the console like it says on xbox support as it doesnt work. Plug in the HDD to the transfer cable while the console is on. Do not do it while its off
@updisho Crysis 2 was a download code, but It didn't work anyway because I figured that I could try it with my old Xbox 360. But what about Arcade Games?
i put all my shit onto a fucking usb that was formatted for xbox then i put it in my new xbox and it told me it needed to be formatted again. all my shit is gone off the old xbox and the usb. WTF

Will this work for just transfering games I've already purchased from the XBox Live Web site back on to my Xbox without going on line? My system is flash modded to play back up copies and I don't want to update my firmware since the updates will prevent me from playing the burnned-game copies I already have in my collection. I Just want to plug the USB flash drive to my PC and download the games from the XBL web site then transfer it to my cosole that way.

@GamingBase get it fixed...or if you have a new xbox goto the xbox page and do a liscence transfer and download all your content (dlc , themes and profiles) but you cant download your save game files your gonna have to get it fixed if you want those

@KingsHeartX3 just put your themes on the usb. then go to "picture library" then open up your theme then click "y" to set as theme..hope i answered your question

What u didn't show is how/where in the USB you've put the "transferred" files man! I've configured & setup my device for use with the console, but I don't know how you've managed to put the files in to 'recognizable' folders for the Xbox to copy from.. PLZ help me out here! Thx..

I had it configured already. Plugged into the PC I'd see a clear 50% space shaved off after the Customization of the drive frm th console. Yet l8r.. on the console, I c the various folders listed alright.. But none of them contain the content I'd copied onto the USB drive :'(.. Sorry 4 buggin u m8, but can't seem to find a better source of help :P!
@undeny be more specific why do you want to see it on your pc for...for modding ? if so i think you need to use a program called "modio" for that...or if your trying to get music onto your xbox i think cds are the only way
No no, not modding. Bought an original console and annoyingly proud of it =D! @undeny you cant put stuff onto your configured usb through a pc (only through horizon i think).....you cant put movies videos .etc.onto your xbox only if its modded (try stream) or u can if you buy them..but you can put pictures and listen to music through an un configured usb.try download "horizon" on your pc..it lets you browse your configured usb on your pc and put stuff in and out.type "horizon xbox" on google.im new to it myself..but i dont think u can do what ur trying to do.

@undeny No you cant put music onto a blanc dvd and rip to xbox.i've tried it and sadly it doesnt work just cds.and i havent gotten banned from using horizon...not yet anyways..idk if it will get you banned maybe if you use it to mod your profile then yes probably.but im a first timer (noob as they say) for "horizon" and i rarely use it..only for profiles ive downloaded and dlc content that comes with it..and modio i have not yet used...i just heard about it being able to read a con. usb on a pc
On my xbox it does not come up as 'USB Storage device' but comes up as 'Memory Unit' on 'Memory' anybody know how to configure it ? help would be appreciated, thanks !
I have a problem: I've had my Xbox 360 about 3 years (old white one) and I was running out of storage space in my 20gb hdd, so I bought a transfer cable and a 60gb hdd. Then hooked it all up accordingly, but after that when I went to transfer my content, my Xbox 360 (same old one) insisted that my 60gb hdd I'd bought was a usb storage device with only 15.9gb on it. But when I put it into my 360 normally it appears as a 60gb hard drive again. How did this happen and how can I fix it?
You can get map packs by doing this. Just have ti hav a friend with the map packs. Then go to their house and copy tge map pack onto ur usb. Dont transfer it. Then ur friend wont be able to have the packs. U have to be sure to copy them.
hey excuse me phtfilms. are you using a compatible usb harddrive which can be access with a computer? like xfer the data from the xbox hd to the compatible harddrive.
I transferred my saved game files from my old HDD memory to the new slim by putting it in the it in the memory slot under the Xbox slim, and it shows it all got transferred to the hard drive in the slim but when I go to play the game it says there is no saved file for the game, can someone please help

@phtfilms How is pirating stealing? You aren't removing a physical copy anywhere. What you're doing is copying the data on the disc to use on a modified console.

No you can't do that. Thats why you need the disc to play an installed game. You would have to flash/mod or use usb loaders for the xbox 360 to play ISO.
I have a photo from a digital camera which can't be recognized on the PC yet works fine on the Xbox. I copy the photo to the Xbox as a background. Still states its a JPG. I try to transfer to Xbox USB stick, doesn't show up on the computer as an image or anything. Help please?
I have some torrents for videos on my computer. Is there anyway to transfer them to my xbox with a memory stick? I tried the obvious way of copying the video to the memory stick (already configued it to xbox) and then plugged it into my xbox but it says there are 0 files. Do I need to convert the format of the video?
You would have allow for the use of both PC and Xbox storage usage on the flash drive.
Go to Remove Xbox 360 Storage when viewing the flash drive in the Memory Section of the dashboard and then when that is complete go to Customzie and choose how much you want to use for the Xbox 360 and whatever remains can be used by a regular computer to store computer files. In your case videos which would then show up in the Videos section of My Xbox on the drive.

(the memory would have my gamerprofile, and some game memory) Would that work?

Yet l8r.. on the console, I c the various folders listed alright.. But none of them contain the content I'd copied onto the USB drive :'(.. @undeny be more specific why do you want to see it on your pc for...for modding ? if so i think you need to use a program called "modio" for that...or if your trying to get music onto your xbox i think cds are the only way

No no, not modding. Bought an original console and annoyingly proud of it =D! See here's exactly what I'm trying to accomplish: Empty my loaded PC hard drive of content such as Movies, TV Shows, Music Videos, Wallpapers/Pictures/Art etc and put them into my Xbox.. Possible?? 1) Config'd USB on Xbox to 50:50 storage, Xbox:PC
2) Plugged in USB to PC, device was now @ 8gb free capacity.
3) Copied some of the aforementioned content to USB (and into the hidden Xbox 360 folder..)
4) Plugged in USB back into Xbox, Went to System Settings. Selected 'Removable Device' -> Transfer C..
5) Tried "Transfer Content" = NO such content was detected on the device. e.g. None of the videos within 'Video Files' folder, as here..
So like, what can I do?

@undeny you cant put stuff onto your configured usb through a pc (only through horizon i think).....you cant put movies videos .etc.onto your xbox only if its modded (try stream) or u can if you buy them..but you can put pictures and listen to music through an un configured usb.try download "horizon" on your pc..it lets you browse your configured usb on your pc and put stuff in and out.type "horizon xbox" on google.im new to it myself..but i dont think u can do what ur trying to do.

Nowhere have Microsoft clearly highlighted this issue (at least not where asked specifically I guess..). All this talk about "Easily Transfer...", "Transfer to and from..." seems down right drirty lol! Ah crap, well thanks for entertaining my plight dude.. Yea I managed to rip some music CDs I'd burned.. Can the similiar stuff be done with full length movie DVDs :P?!

@undeny No you cant put music onto a blanc dvd and rip to xbox.i've tried it and sadly it doesnt work just cds.and i havent gotten banned from using horizon...not yet anyways..idk if it will get you banned maybe if you use it to mod your profile then yes probably.but im a first timer (noob as they say) for "horizon" and i rarely use it..only for profiles ive downloaded and dlc content that comes with it..and modio i have not yet used...i just heard about it being able to read a con. usb on a pc

I have a problem: I've had my Xbox 360 about 3 years (old white one) and I was running out of storage space in my 20gb hdd, so I bought a transfer cable and a 60gb hdd. Then hooked it all up accordingly, but after that when I went to transfer my content, my Xbox 360 (same old one) insisted that my 60gb hdd I'd bought was a usb storage device with only 15.9gb on it. But when I put it into my 360 normally it appears as a 60gb hard drive again. How did this happen and how can I fix it?

You can get map packs by doing this. Just have ti hav a friend with the map packs. Then go to their house and copy tge map pack onto ur usb. Dont transfer it. Then ur friend wont be able to have the packs. U have to be sure to copy them.

I transferred my saved game files from my old HDD memory to the new slim by putting it in the it in the memory slot under the Xbox slim, and it shows it all got transferred to the hard drive in the slim but when I go to play the game it says there is no saved file for the game, can someone please help

No you can't do that. Thats why you need the disc to play an installed game. You would have to flash/mod or use usb loaders for the xbox 360 to play ISO.

How about this.
I have a photo from a digital camera which can't be recognized on the PC yet works fine on the Xbox. I copy the photo to the Xbox as a background. Still states its a JPG. I try to transfer to Xbox USB stick, doesn't show up on the computer as an image or anything. Help please?

I have some torrents for videos on my computer. Is there anyway to transfer them to my xbox with a memory stick? I tried the obvious way of copying the video to the memory stick (already configued it to xbox) and then plugged it into my xbox but it says there are 0 files. Do I need to convert the format of the video?

You would have allow for the use of both PC and Xbox storage usage on the flash drive.
Go to Remove Xbox 360 Storage when viewing the flash drive in the Memory Section of the dashboard and then when that is complete go to Customzie and choose how much you want to use for the Xbox 360 and whatever remains can be used by a regular computer to store computer files. In your case videos which would then show up in the Videos section of My Xbox on the drive.
Don't forget to backup files.

@phtfilms I went to my friends house and I copied the Escallation and First Strike map packs for Black Ops onto my USB and I got home and copyed the map packs to my Hard Drive but when i played Black Ops the game said I didn't ahae the map packs even though they were on my hard drive!
