If I had the opportunity to fuck all the women I want or to drive that car for just an hour - my decision would be immediate - that car is the real deal for a man. Women can be fucked later on. :)
Does this car have a V6-engine? I mean, allthough the FIA probably ruins F1 by making the engines smaller and smaller every few years, i actually don't mind listening to this engine sound.
@ArchibaldRoyston ThisFerrari when racing used a flat 12 cilinder engine, which I believe is the same engine used on the video. It did indeed go against some V6 turbos and even 4 cilinder turbos (BMWs), but this one was a beast;)
It only ever raced one turbo car. The Renault V6 turbo, which Renault had introduced in 1977 and which won its first race in 1979. The flat 12 was arguably the best Ferrari F1 engine since it was used for 11 seasons, but in 1980 it had an abysmal final year in the incredibly uncompetitive 312T5 (Ferrari ended the season 10'th in the standings)
BMW's turbo 4 appeared in 1982. Honda's V6 turbo (the best turbo era engine) in 1983, Porsche's in 1983. The flat12 did NOT race them
@McLarenMercedes Hie there. you are absolutly correct. It was a few years ago, I remenber Renaul behing the pioners in turbo engines back then (in F1), with it´s down sides (poor reliability) and all, but when the other turbos started to appear, 81 onward I believe, Ferrari changed to trubo´s as well. And those were V6s as the mate I was replying mencioned.
@McLarenMercedes Regarding the Honda behind the best turbo from them all. Is it? :) I have to put the marvelous BMW M12/13 4 cylinder among the best of them. That engine was pure awesomness! It packed A LOT of power. I would have to put it right there with the best. And based on a road modal!
Anyway. it is always good to discuss this things with people who know what they are talking about. He always learn a thing or two;).
Yes, seeing as the BMW inline 4 was based on the roadcar M10 engine, which had been designed back in 1961, but still was good enough for 1400hp+ hp in qualifying in 1986 it sure wins any award in being ahead of its time. I think the BMW M10 engine made the best 10 engines ever made in some International Award.
But, the Honda V6 turbo won 40 races and 5 titles. BMW's turbo won 9 races. TAG Porsche won 25 races, but clearly had trouble keeping up with Honda by late '85 already
I also need to add that while the BMW turbo 4 was the most powerful F1 engine ever in qualifying runs (unrestricted boost until 1986), Honda's V6 reportedly was the most powerful in race trim. Some sources claim it developed 950hp in race trim, whereas BMW's had around 800hp in racetrim at its peak. Indeed hats of to BMW, since it was a roadcar based block.
And just not to alienate all the Ferrari fans, I'll add that the Ferrari flat 12 of the 70's was a great engine. :)
@McLarenMercedes Great stuf man. Reading your lines makes me wish this year´s F1 season had already started:) Although very diferents eras. Indeed love the sound of the flat 12. Would really like to know how it feels under the foot;). relating the race trim config for both Hondas and BMWs, never knew about that aspect of it (power wise). It may perfectly be correct. And I do believe many race wins were also due to its superior reliability.
@McLarenMercedes Relating the overall wins, back in it´s last year (88), Honda had the "help" of an amazingly built Mclaren chassis. The combination Chassin/electronics/Honda/Senna/Prost made it almost as a "perfect season" So many from those 40 also com from the car they were buil on;), And previous years Williams were also amazing(87/86). 86 Williams/88 Mclaren and 92/93 Williams are, in my mind, probably the best F1 cars ever built.
@orionintelligence bhe forse intendevi dire 515.....tanto come paragone ti basti che nel 1989 (10 anni dopo) un 3500 (questo è un 3000) il ferrari aveva 600 CV..
that man is verifying the tires fitting on the rim: if you can notice, at the beggining of the video, the 312T4 is entering on the pits after some tires warm-up laps in wich inner pressure encrease.
Amazing. Thanks for posting. I wasn't expecting that sort of sound from the engine. Not really sure what to expect, but it sounded lower in tone than I thought it would.

Ill bet you had a really fun time on the track at montreal. that would be a blast driving a T-4 Ferrari around the track all by yourself.
really fun.
this is exactly what id do to.
no one to mess you up, and there to have a good time in the T-4.
really Nice to have the track all to yourself.
you can think better what your doing without other's around to disrupt you in the car.
your really good and smooth too on your driving.
I liked watching you in that T-4.
