You know, the great thing about balloons popping is that it instantly makes them go away. The fear of a balloon popping is ludicrous, if you think about it. So think about it. Master your fears with adult reasoning skills and the enjoyment of being in control of your mind and emotions. The only "balloon" popping that frightens me is a condom, for obvious reasons...

i have globophobia. i can look at pictures of balloons but being around them, i am afraid they will burst and it makes me frightened. possibly a defense mechanism to protect my hearing. even when watching a video of something being blown up, i get butterflies but in real life i block my ears when passing blown up balloons gosh i fucking hate it when people chase you around with them. i had a dream i was with people and someone was popping balloons right next to my ear and was mad when i woke up

Can hold a deflated balloon or maximum half inflated balloon and thats it. Worst of all is Balloons in shopping centres with babies in prams squeezing them. Makes me sick thinking about it! Its because the boom if it goes off is so much worse. I have to leave my missus and kids at this point, putting my fingers in my ears and running into the nearest shop. I'd like to see if there is anyone out there who has genuinely conquered this fear. Which when i was on TV was called "Phonophobia"

I have globophobia and have had since i was about 14 or 15. I am 38 now and it doesn't get better with age i promise you. I was on GMTV (Former english breakfast show) for the week in what was called GMTV's house of fear. Iwas on there to conquer my fear and although it may have seemed to some people on the show that this was the case, It wasn't. All the same symtoms as above, Sweaty palms, Hot all over, Heart palpatations, Even anger. If someone thinks its funny to test the fear in front of you

when I was 10 I ran and hid at ,a YMCA summer camp when the counselor blew-up a big red balloon and told me to pop it with a pencil. Keep everyone up for hours looking for me. When I was11, my cousin 13 was at a Sears when they were giving out helium balloons. in an hour he got 11. He kept saying lets go to the multi-story parking lot and pop it. I ran the first 7 times, after that he got me to enjoy the excitement of teasing them until they popped now, i am 55, and still love popping them

omg im not the only one. i went to a party and this guy tryed to jump on a balloon and i threw my self into a wall cuz it scared the crape out of me. it sucked cuz everyone was laughing at me i was so embarrased

I have globophobia and watching the ballon inflate and trying to pop it gave me the chills. I can never pop a balloon. I can stand in a room with balloons, as long as no one touches them or plays with them. I also can't be around when someone starts blowing up a ballon. Good thing at school we have some kids who are severly allergic to latex!

i think this is the best video i have seen on globofobia. you take it serieus instead of instantly popping it in someones face saying look there scared. love the little squee-sounds you make when it comes close! you know why? i do to!

I totally have the fear of balloons....well...I mainly have the fear of balloons when other people are around them while I"m there....especially children cuz they like to squeak and pop them....I can and have no problem with balloons if I have complete control over them....I can touch them, blow them up and bop them around but a potential popping of a balloon scares me shitless!!!

You can blow up a balloon after being used to it.
