  • Piazzola,( died composer of "Libertango") are killing her self !

  • This is a bad show about nothing. If all want to know what is realy tango see the "inside" tango world champions, not "amazing" moves with out filings, only dancing truly tango.

    /watch?v=QNv8FxhkNBY&feature=related

  • And tango show world champions

    /watch?v=cWSGvKGtAbg

  • Los yanquis creen que eso es tango y que EEUU es el defensor de la libertad.

  • what is the music?

  • @ricfulgenciojr libertango

  • That's NOT.. argentine TANGO... la puta madre!!

  • I spent my entire life being an Argentine, and never in my puta life saw something so awful like this. Are they Germans or what?

  • lol after you've been watching argentine tango for like an hour, you look at this stuff and your like :( Huhhh

  • The Dancing is ok. The Tempo of the Music is to slow. Its like an Allegro. Sorry

  • I really don´t care if it´s tango or not. They gave me the feel and that´s what matters.

  • Doesn't matter if it's tango or not.

    It's fuckin' awsome !

  • This is very sweet and nice! Just not all that much the tango ;3

  • Buenos Aires tango can suck it.... this is much better technique and more entertaining

  • Me encanta!

  • ésto es cualquiera

  • Yes. This couple dance Tango but not Argentinian Tango as it is danced by the best Argentinian couples in Buenos Aires. They need to improve their technique. Also as someone mentioned before, there is not feeling pure pure choreagraphic steps that in a certain way resemble Argentinian modern tango dance but is not the same. There is a saying in Buenos Aires that translated is "Do not confuse a fat tissue with a swollen one"

  • Some parts of this So-Called tango looks like Jive! do get me wrong both dancers have very good movement, but this dosen' t look like a tango!

  • Where is the passion go ?

  • I already loved allison that season. This is the week that I started respecting Ivan.

  • I would love to dance like that! I bet that those dancers had a great time. That is what counts for me.

  • They don't feel the music

  • @toongeorges yes is true, greeting from argentina.

  • 0:57

  • Eso no es tango!!

  • a tango is supposed to be very natural...this is like forced.

  • Merci c'est un régal de voir cette danse magnifique

  • frío. dos cuerpos moviéndose y haciendo cosas complicadas. transmiten frío.

  • where is the PASION

  • Noo me gusto

  • Im Argentine and I really loved it ! Thanks! :0)

  • wow

  • no passion no good

  • no tienen el concepto del tango, no me gusto para nada

  • Almost a TANGO sorry iam argentinian but this two are good tanks guys

  • que frios que son, no sienten la musica, puro paso y nada de sentimiento.

  • they killed libertango with techno. >< NOT ENOUGH FIRE.

  • DANSHCION!

  • qué quieren inventar locos!!! esto no es tango ni fusión ni nada, dejen de joder vayan a aprender...

  • This is show tango--all about footwork, precision and changes of direction--rather than the more raw, overtly passionate and sexual style that mustipek11 was looking for.

  • Maravilloso! Son buenisimos!

  • Esteticamente esta bueno, pero no bailaron nada!

    Igual me gusto

  • Awful cliche.....not good at all!

  • no passion no good

  • ok, I think they are great dancers but this isn't tango

  • This Sucks!!

Esto es una mierda!! ni a Piazzola lo respetaron!

  • This program just killed the amazing argentinian tango!

  • just because the song they danced to is based on a "post-tango" piece called "Libertango - by Astor Piazzolla" doesn't mean they are dancing to tango... maybe with some influences of it

  • This maybe a dance but this is no tango... just call it something else, Ballroom Dance maybe : )

  • Comment removed

  • ESTO NOOOO ES TANGO!....

  • This is something like a iceskating mixed with aerobic coreograph. It´s good, but is not Tango.

  • Something different but no tango at all

  • This is not Tango :) Just a bad show

  • @marenostrum70 LIbertango is a pop tango written by Astor Piazolla, it's only remixed.

  • @marenostrum70 this IS tango, i'm argentinian, and i know this is tango, is a modern version, i love it.

  • this dance doesn't do the song any justice =/

  • Por qué no ponen un coreógrafo argentino...? esto es cualquier cosa menos tango argentino....

  • this is not tango!!!

  • there steps dont flow. its not robotic but not full of emotion like a tango should be....

  • That ain't Tango - that's fencing. Olympic fencing at that - the one without any grace or feeling of the original swashbuckling. Stab, stab, stab, acrobatic number, stab, stab, twirl... Flash, siren - Red scores a point...

  • That ain't Tango - that's fencing. Olympic fencing at the - the one without any grace or feeling of the original swashbuckling. Stab, stab, stab, acrobatic number, stab, stab, twirl... Flash, siren - Red scores a point...

  • class and well performed.

  • I'm sorry but this is a disaster. The tango is not easy to dance and much less Piazzolla. They do it very badly. Are stiff. No romance. The movements are robotic. Adihero commentary to my compatriot, better come to Argentina to learn how.

  • Such a shame... Poor Piazzolla... they "BOND" you!

  • I feel like this was good, but their chemistry is just... Off...

  • what version of song is it??

  • the two of them are brillant dancers (esp Allison) but this was not good

  • horriiiiiiiiiiiibleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • ahyyy weiiii

  • this is not tango but a mix af ballet and another dance but not tango......

  • Hay pasos que parecen más de videoclip de hip-hop cutre que de tango. Pasos muy nerviosos y neumáticos, no hay sensualidad. No me gusta para nada.

  • I'm not a fan of adding beats to music, so I'm already prejudiced (and used to Piazzolla's original). I also didn't really see any chemistry, so... :( But they tried, I guess.

  • É UM SHOW BELISSIMO! ASTOR PIAZZOLLA FOI UM GÊNIO DA MÚSICA! O TANGO É ALGO FANTÁSTICO!

  • um verdadeiro show!

  • Tango is a feeling!!!!! (piazolla)

  • I 'm sorry but the tango I know is passion, hate, love, red, a figure of fighting opposites of corners between lovers, rhythm between two people. I can't see any of these accept forced, numbered steps... Very bad...

  • @mustipek11 you dont look at it like they're pros...look it at as how well they learned the dance within the week period....

  • @mustipek11 Excuse me, but this is not TANGO, it is called Argentina's tango. There are two styles of dance. So this is the real Argentina's tango and it's made quite well.

  • @MaRcAsSs666 you have completely no idea what you're talking about..this is NOT tango argentino!! its a cheap copy of it which is influenced by ballroom dances...anyway for someone that knows about tango argentino, this sucks..

  • dammmmmm ;D mazing lovethis i wanna learn this dance so much

  • Troppo isterico....non è vero tango

  • schifoso

  • @TangoValsMilonga

it's not that genius. it's simply an exercise in breadth, rather than specialty. u just made it sound really fancy.

let's take a structural engineer and put him on a nelectrical engineering project.

let's take a federal politician an put him in state government.

let's take an FPS gamer and make him play RTS.

let's take a C++ specialist and have him program something in JAVA.

fancify the wording all u want, it is what it is.

  • oh my!!! can anyone dance like this???...

  • Questo ballo è tutto tranne che tango... vabè...

  • Did they perform another tango during the season?

  • We used this song for our school performance :D

  • there's no tango

  • This was the best Tango routine on SYTYCD!!!!

  • @SantomPh Yes, there are others. There is a "Ballroom Tango" which is split into "American Style" and "International Style". There are also Finnish and Uruguayan Tangos.

  • i love astor piazzolla music (L)

  • gtfo. too good.

  • that hells woow :P

  • what did the judges think of this dance?

  • No, really, it's a joke! and the public aplauds! But where is this country without culture???? Mars?

  • ARE YOU CRAZY! THIS IS THE BIGEST SHITT I HAVE NEVER SEEN!

Go to see Alejandra Mantinan y gustavo russo or Pablo Veron, Naveira, Juana and Chicho, but please, don't associate this ridiculous couple with tango dancers!!!

Does the world become really mad???? No it's because of no culture i hope.

    Incredible stupid TV.

Please brothers and sisters go watch Gabriel Angio y Nathalia Games on Libertango quickely

  • @PatrickTangoFrance SYTYCD is about the growth of the dancers & learning about the techniques involving different genres of dance, specifically outside of their specialty. Its not meant to be straight Tango, & no one expects the perfection of professionals in the genre. You can't toss a person who has only taken a few swimming classes into a pool & expect them to swim like Michael Phelps. You CAN expect their best effort though, & this video shows damn good effort and performance. Entertainment.

  • @dancershorty12 Ok shorty, they can try what they want with all performances it will never be a sort of tango...I know! They're mooving, that's all..... Anyway circus have to exist you know and i am glad with that, but it's circus ... and i don't care about michael phelphes cause there is no art, i prefere cost guards and real circus with real clowns! (sorry for my english).

  • @PatrickTangoFrance My comparison to Phelps wasn't quite to say that he represented art, b/c he doesn't, I'm saying he's professional at what he does. Just like 'real circus people'. There is no such thing as instant professionalism. The people you named came from somewhere, & I can guarantee you that at one point in their lives, while they were LEARNING to become as amazing as they are now, they danced as shown in the vid. The 2 in the vid? Only had 1week to learn Tango. Thats damn impressive.

  • @dancershorty12 When you are professional you don't show a piece you have worked only during one week, sorry that is not professionnal! i'm really not impressed. But you know i really respect your point of vue but it is a lie for the world to show that and i don't care about what they are able to do or not and it is the same for tango dancers who are not artiste. Good day to you. Patrick

  • @PatrickTangoFrance I respect your point of view as well, but the gist of what I am trying to say is that you should cut them some slack. For a Contemporary and Hip Hop dancer to suddenly have to learn the dynamics of another genre is immensely difficult, as it is for probably anybody who has not pursued that genre as their main specialty. SYTYCD requires dancers to try and perform different dance genres every week. It is the most diverse dance show/competition in the world.

  • @PatrickTangoFrance Also in SYTYDC they aren't expected to be experts at everything.

  • @dancershorty12Ah Ok Shorty i understand your explication about SYTYDC reading your comments now. But all of that is bowring for me and disposes people and i can't agree these meetings, sorry, It is not my world.

What kind of danceur are you, street-jazz, modern jazz, salsa, others.....?

  • Comment removed

  • @PatrickTangoFrance That is understandable. I just want you to understand the effort the competitors put into their performances, which are actually rather good considering how much they push themselves to be good enough for at least a well put performance, though not always technically correct.

Mmm, in general terms, I've had most training in Hip Hop, though I've also done Lyrical, and Jazz as well. My assumption is that you dance the Tango?

  • @PatrickTangoFrance: That's why they titled this show 'So You Think You Can Dance'. The idea was to couple up the contestants, some who aren't even ballroom dancers, and take them out of their own dance element by pushing them to their limits and making them well-rounded in every genre of music and dance. In the end, who do you think isn't going to pass up the dough?

  • @rayva1 Ok, people can loose theyr brain as they like... These kind of games alienate humans.. that's all !

And i don't care about the dough.

  • @PatrickTangoFrance: OH FINE THEN. Go back to France where you belong!

  • long live ivison

  • man I wish I could dance like them.....I could dance like that all day ^^

  • Allison looks hot (no homo)

  • BRAVI ! Who they are ?

  • et le mouvement a 1:37 est carrément une atteinte au tango

  • ugly

  • I agree with xXShirabakalaneshXx!! This dance is amazing!! We <3 the tango!! 5 stars!

  • Exelente!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow. 1,385 views and only my comments? you guys suck. this is a great video and you guys should atleast comment once. anyways, five stars!

  • @xXShirabakalaneshXx Go to see Gabriel Angio and Nathalia Games on Libertango an Gustavo Russo and you will understand probably why you are alone liking this joke of argentin tango

  • @PatrickTangoFrance

I prefer Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo to the dancers you suggested. They have more weight, and more emotion.

  • @Sambucca They have no sweetness... brutal and her in the air, bowring... sory

  • @PatrickTangoFrance

Are we talking about the same people? The dancers in this video are named Ivan and Allison and I agree their tango isn't great, but Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo have choreographed tangos for this show before. They are perhaps 2 of the best tango dancers alive today. Look at their videos.

  • @Sambucca I have seen them but i don't like their stops and her in the air sorry even if she does a good job; him is brutal and what i see it is not a subtil and sweet tango. They are technical and in the rythm but it is not that with the melody. And about their interpretations it's still circus and i feel no life, sorry sorry sorry but it's bowring and no artisique; they have no talent even if the technical could impress some people... superficial! you can't compare gustavo russo and Leonardo

  • @PatrickTangoFrance

I wasn't that impressed with Gustavo. I don't notice anything exceptional about him. There are dancers in the Tango Escenario competitions who have only been dancing 2 years and are more impressive than him. As for saying that this is "circus tango" let me remind you that this a show. Nobody wants to sit and watch 2 mins of slow salon tango. These dancers have to be seen to push themselves every week so the routines are made to be spectacular and exciting.

  • @Sambucca I agree.

  • @Sambucca: Thank-God - at least they've all put in the effort to make this show look spectacular and exciting.

  • @Sambucca You're right.. But leoanardo, Veronica, Gustavo, Arce y Montes, or all of us have a responsability about the "art"... And i can't agree persons who alienate others, trainng them in lies.

  • @PatrickTangoFrance

Could not agree more with what zou have said.

  • @Sambucca Ok Sabucca, but, Leonardo, Veronica , Gustavo, Arce y montes, and all of us have a responsability with " Art " you see?? So, i can not agree with persons who alienate others...That's all. That's why we remember Mozart or Chaplin and will never care about ivan's perform or SYTYCD.

    With respect,

    Patrick.

  • love the song. love the tango. live on ballroom dance! 5 stars
