It's not quite the same as an American military movie but I have high hopes for The Expendables. At least that one has the right bad guys (and it's not us! Who knew?). Love the video-short, sweet & to-the-point. If Hollywood actually started making movies like that again, I'd go back to theatres.

I think the last war movie that did remotely well here in the U.S. was Black Hawk Down. Oscar winner The Hurt Locker was a bit agnostic in regards to politics and such but it definitely didn't portray our troops in a negative light IMO. Sure, it was more than a little unrealistic but still an interesting story.
