My problem is when I try to rip a CD to my computer a message pops up that says, "Windows Media Player cannot play, burn, rip, or sync the file because a required audio codec is not installed on your computer." An error also pops up when I try to rip a cd with my Zune software, Does this video fix this problem and can you please help me?!
Hmmm, sorry my video is crappy! It is too small. :) That is odd. I use zune software and have never had that problem. It may be a problem with your cd drive. It should not keep you from ripping cds no matter what codec you have.
Thanks for your help I was looking for all the possibilities for what was going wrong and all of sudden all my music ripping software worked after I updated with the windows service pack 2 so I guess Microsoft really wants you to update so they remove your codecs and reinstall them when you update.
can yuh help me, i tried opening up one of my movies and it says that "Codect is required?". thanks.
