The main point I tried to make with the West example of Rwanda is to give developing countries more breathing room. I support the West's stance on Sudan but they need to realize that in the past they have done similar things and should work optimisticly with countries to solve internal or international affairs instead of just criticizing and embarrassing developing countries after all, they are 'developing'.

I hate Mao (no offense to Chinese people) because of his ignorance and his very idealistic beliefs he set China back centuries. Mao did, however, brought China out of a century of western humiliation and made it into an emerging superpower (not economically though). Mao also did something that isn't widely known - he brought equality between men and women in China (he allowed females to join politics and through reforms, he made the sexes very similar, not that I agree with this).

And you know what, I'm getting really tired overall of YouTube debates when the vast majority here are already under 20. Almost every story about China becomes "but the west is just as bad" "the west is just as hypocritical, you have no right to point fingers" "leave chinese matters to china" etc. It's not just China too, because I would go crazy if I listened to only that all the time. Here's a new rule, if you are under 20, you don't deserve my time. Because teens are idiots, I was one too.

I'm not opposing the West - I actually live in the West and also grew up here. And not every Teen is stupid. What I really think is stupid is people not understanding that all countries (including the USA) are all involved in realpolitik, China or Russia or the US don't do things intending to harm the people of other countries but do it because its in their interests to do things that somewhat indirectly harm those people.

Just because your name is 'xiaoqiao' doesn't mean you understand China well. Do you know how messy China was before and after WWII? Do you know why more and more people supported CPC? Can you give me any real conformation of "Tibet, Lower Mongolia, XinJiang"? Never heard that China prosecutes based on ethnicities (they do religion, which is wrong). Most people who died in the cultural revolution were Han. Even the CPC admit it was a horrible major mistake.

So the real solution is to actually stop the killings in Darfur instead of just stopping the influx of weapons. There needs to be more international pressure on Sudan and from the AU to bring a stop to this crisis and blaming China won't solve this issue at all.

China is blocking international pressure through the UN. Blaming China wont solve the issue, but they are a huge part of the problem.

No, but this is UN's job, this is not the job of the west, or the east, or China, or Africa or Antartica. This international crisis is exactly what the UN and the UN peace keepers were made for, and China uses its power to block any pressures against Sudan, because they buy oil from Sudan. Leave "the west" out of this. I never spoke among my friends or heard the "west vs east" so often as in the last 3 years. Stop this stupid hate.

Although I strongly disagree with China's willingness to supply arms to the Darfur area, it should be put into context that other super powers would do the same and have done so in the past and if no arms were to be supplied, acts of genocide could still be attempted on massive scales as seen in the Rwanda genocide where slaughter of human beings were carried out with machetes.

I sincerely do hope China will realize its role more clearly on the international stage.
