Hurricane IKE Footage: from my house in Houston 9/12/08

At my neighbor the cloud was like that and the wind kept getting stronger, it was passed curfew and man the clouds were going in circles. I saw some little kid actually got lifted by the wind so she had to go early then later wind got strong we went in. During hurricane I saw about 2 people walking outside thought to be honest if you weigh alot and don't get hit by trees outside the hurricane you should be fine just don't go to sleep. -_-

I know, my street started singing when it came on. OMG Clear Lake yall got it bad. I hope everything really gets back to normal soon there are only three gas stations open for gas and there is a 3 hour wait. Which sucks. Good luck to you and yours

same here, I've got 1/2 a tank of gas left so I'm not gonna waste it waiting in line. Things should be normal again soon--just to have power again after 3 days is awesome!! God I missed my computer and my cable!! ha ha we did get it bad but nothing like surfside and boliver--don't think galveston is ever gonna be the same. don't worry about Clear Lake--remember, Nasa is here, we're gonna be up and runnin real quick :)

i live in cali, but i just got back from oklahoma a few months ago on my spring break, and their was a funnel cloud moving along the highway. i was soo scared i like cried for the last 3 days. that was my first real weather experience because we dont have real weather like that out here in cali. i never new that a storm could be that fierce lol. god bless you all and i hope that yallz vehicles be ok lol.

I'm worried about my fellow Houstonians. :( I moved to Austin ten months ago, and I almost feel guilty that we're totally dry so far. There's just a bit more of a breeze than usual (which is actually nice in the hot weather). Also, Austin's air isn't normally very humid, but over the last few days, we've been breathing thick, nasty, heavy, wet air. It reminds me of Houston. :)

I love H-town and the friendly, generous people there. I hope you're all safe and sound.
