Don't understand the words being sung but can feel the emotions being shared. There are loads of melodies being sung that just bring a smile to our faces.
It WAS the flag of South Vietnam until the south lost the war during Vietnam war. In America, we recognize the flag I mentioned earlier. It gets political. But I'm sure the Vietnamese singers residing in America would not want to be associated with the Red flag.
I am not being bias but I would prefer Tagalog/ Filipino. I am very proud of Christian Bautista "Asia's Romantic Ballader." He has nice voice. He is well-grounded and very talented.
I like the Malaysian song... It's probably the only one in this video with strong ethical roots -- and not too influenced by the west's RnB and pop. Sometimes part of the fun of discovering other people's culture is finding out different types of music.
Beautiful video...It is a pleasure to hear so many talented artists in their own languages. My favorite is the R&B Star Ken Hirai from Japan...I have loved his music for years now and listen to him often. Thank you for sharing.

for me it's being biased for many to say that korean and japanese are great languages because when i search asian languages here in youtube most comment says korean and jap are best but for me the should be best language for you is your native language it's such a shame even many pinoys thinks korean and jap is a good language to hear than tagalog they should get out of the country and talk korean and japanese to japanese and korean rats!?

@joesel19 why many people in asia now think that Korean and Japanese language is best ? the answer is Korea and Japan have managed to convince us through movies, dramas and cartoons that they are the best.This is one thing that other asian countries can't do.one of the things done to compensate for their hegemony in Asia is by doing something that Japan or Korea do not have.and it has done little by little in my country (Indonesia).

Filipinos prefer rock songs rather than pop. Some filipino bands are known in Asia or even world. But sadly, these days, the number of kpop fans in Philippines is growing rapidly. Anyway, I love Indonesia and Philippines. They are sister countries. :)

each country has different musical tastes and musical tastes can not be enforced because musical tastes also affect at the music market.obviously not enough to rate a handful of Korean style or Japanese style in Indonesia as a comprehensive assessment of musical tastes.

@mschocotopps90i don't think so.sorry, maybe it's true that many of indonesian people dress up like japanese, but for korea...hhmmm, never know about that. most of indonesian people didn't like a melancholy songs, they prefer something hard like j-rock (hard but still have its own pop). beside that they was influenced by japanese drama, not like korean movie, japanese one has more topics in their movie/film. i think it's caused by our topography too, generally there's no such thing to be mellow

I think it exists! and I agree with you..Indonesia has a fertile land (so to plant whatever will grow) and a very hot tropical climate.Therefore you can imagine if they all heard the melancholy song, it will make all the Indonesian people became lazy and prefer to moan about bad luck, rather than working hard and trying to.

@lagodaxnian yeah, i think about that too. just see the different between korea n japan too. in korea, maybe pop song and melancholy one have more fans because its topography just make us feel full of love. but in japan, there are a lot of disaster such as earthquake. so, their music are developed to make them full of spirit, not something makes them moaning all day long. that's what i thought. kinda similar with philippines too right?
