@TheGeogynProd No the Keyboard works with the macs too. it can work with any bluetooth compatible device(like iphone, ipad, mac, pc too if there bluetooth)

dont get the new wireless keyboard for your ipad. Its designed for Lion with new buttons on the top so none of the brighntess, volume, and playback controls work with the ipad. Everything else does but still

This would be great, I'm going on vacation for 3 weeks and don't want to carry my laptop. So i got a 15$ Magic stand ( its an amazing dock/stand) and so I can use my iPad in landscape and still type. Also its very stable. Great review by the way, as usual.

i think it's better to add a usb Keyboard if possible. there is a accessory for iPad gives a USB 2.0 Port for you iPad.and it is not illegal.

@PkDeveloper2010 You are talking about the Camera Connection Kit. The only problem with that is that many USB keyboards require too much power, such as Apple's keyboard.

How long after you stop typing on the keyboard does it go into power save mode and disconnect? I don't like having to constantly hit a keyboard key and wait for the keyboard to reconnect on keyboards that go to sleep to fast.

@havvoc The bluetooth keyboard always stays connected, even when the iPad goes into sleep mode (which simply means the screen is locked and powered off). The keyboard doesn't time out.

@jailbreakmaster3 The iPhone 3G/3GS doesn't fit correctly so you have to force it on and doing so means the pin is under constant pressure while it's docked. If you do that frequently and over time you will likely cause serious damage.

@woleksy1997 Yes, it's a standard bluetooth Apple keyboard, it will work for Mac, iPad, iPod Touch 3G/4G, or iPhone 3GS/4.

@daisyboo45 You don't have to get the MacBook Pro, you could get the MacBook at $899 after student discount. You could also get a mid-range Laptop with a core 2 Duo or better for only $599. But if you like the Dell mini, than go for it!

@daisyboo45 f you need a computer for school, I would get a proper laptop and avoid the Netbooks, they are too underpowered and small. The iPad is an entertainment and consumption device, not great for creating documents. The iPad is a better compliment to another computer (you do need one after all to sync it to iTunes).

This is the keyboard I will be setting up, so it is good to see how well it works. But I must recommend 3 things for you. Number 1 is Netflix, you can watch your instant netflix movies on the ipad. Number 2 is Skype, you can use it as a big cell phone. And third is the Ipad case, which not only protects it, but locks open to hold up the ipad for typing, or holds it upright for viewing movies.

@johnmonk66 I don't have an account to Netflix, yet ;). I have the app at least. I use skype on the iPhone and it works brilliantly, I haven't tried it on the iPad yet. And four of my accessories are arriving tomorrow, including the case. Naturally, I'll have videos of those as well.
