  • Man, I am the worst guitar player ever, but with Justin lessons I finally could play one of the songs I always wanted to play, just a little bit like guitar-master Jimi and Justin. It is that I am a poor student, but I certainly donate some to him. You're the best youtube teacher, and there's a lot.

2 days I followed the 2 justin lessons for the wind cries Mary: this is the best I came up with:

    youtube.com/watch?v=FRGVllPOaJ8

Thanks Justin, I'm gonna check out al your lessons

  • you sir are a guitar hero graci

  • Thanks man very helpful, you tor it up in the beginning too haha that was sick.

  • This is great stuff. Jason, you rock. :)

  • Thank you so much for the lesson, I've been playing professionally for many years. Your teaching was stellar. Hendrix was a genius, and you've interpreted his style and technique very well, and also showed the world his licks in an easy and logical way. ...... I'll be going through all 159 of your videos now!

  • The best virtual teacher, ever !!!

  • Extremely nice playing. Very mellow. You really did a great song justice.

  • Wow, how do you get that tone? It sounds amazing.

  • Sweet picking Mate!!!! Ty

  • I think Jimi Hendrix would be speechless to know how many of us still love his music.

    Thanks Justin.

  • Hey Justin, I'd really like to tell ya that your lessons have always helped me a lot! I can remember the first time I found your lesson was about 2 years ago, when I just got my first guitar. That time I learned "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" , which is a great song by my favorite band, CCR! :D

  • Thank you so much!

  • this is E standard right?

  • i love that song and thanks to justin i can play it now

  • Great lesson, thanks!!

  • Great Lesson! Thank you for sharing with the world....

    You Rock Man!

    Eddie

    Tulare, Ca

  • amazing!

  • what bass notes are you hitting on the C/B/F can someone help me

  • You rock man, Wind Cries Mary is one of the most beautiful songs ever written

  • sweet

  • Using my thumb for the bass line is a problem for me.

I guess barring the chord would be the solution?

  • If only I knew what you were saying

  • I don't understand the chords? C, Bb, and F? Mine sound nothing like that. Any chance someone has a link to show my the fingering to make sure I'm doing it right?

  • 15 People are mad that they can't play this.

  • @DrNoth make that 17

  • Played with truth and conviction. Thank you, you are on my small list of mentors.... Thanks for taking the time and effort to share, it is more than appreciated by all of us.

  • Holy shit

  • This guy plays people..

  • holy shit this video enabled me to play this 5x better

  • Comment removed

  • could you do the whole song cover you play it so sick i keep repeating the intro haha

  • Just great!

  • You look like you're trying real hard to channel Hendrix. I love it. Cheers.

  • @ZeppelinFloydRoses I'd rather know the original version and then have my own variation after I've got the original down pat.

  • Is there a way to play this without using your thumb? My fingers aren't very long and I find that I have to search for alternative ways for playing some of the time.

  • Justin, you are the best guitar teacher in web. And what an accent ;)

  • This seems to be a jeff beck strat isn't it?

  • all i can say is jimi's music will never die R.I.P Hendrix

  • i dont think justin knows just how damn good he actually played that intro in the beggining.

  • @TisGhostaga probably, it happens to me too, sometimes i don't how the fuck do i play some stuff

  • @TisGhostaga really

  • @TisGhostaga hes so into it

  • Question for whoever answers: Would you rather play it note for not, or have your own variations?

  • @ZeppelinFloydRoses Own variations.

  • @ZeppelinFloydRoses have my own variations definitely

  • /guitorock

  • @ellbbrus look on his website and he shows all of his gear that he uses. Not for that particular song, just in general

  • i'm mastering this song due to justin, he's amazing, once i finish this i feel like i'll be able to play everything... :)

  • Thanks a lot for great music! This is real Hendrix sound. Is it possible to know what kind of strat, emp and effects do you use to reach it? Respect!

  • Pretty dang good.

  • to quote Al Pacino from Carlito's Way, "If you was a broad, I'd marry you!" the best teacher ever.

  • You are amazing. My only comment would to be to add a little more bass to the song like Jimi.

  • dude you're such a legend!

  • hey man.. I can't hit that f chord using my thumb to hold the bass note because my fingers are not long enough... is there an alternation that you can show me?

  • You play with such a nice tone and teach so well. and Its Free!

  • how do you play the b flat chord! some one respond!

  • wots up justin wot pickup should i use to play this, great lesson and great tune cheers dude

  • amazing. you should be proud

  • I love the sound of these chords, sounds like jazz.... thanks for another great lesson.

  • Well done Justin, not only do you play from the heart, you humbly teach us , and for that i thank you sir.

  • The dislikes are from the guys which charge you for the lessons!!!!

  • YESSS!!!!

That's it Buddy.... a Jimmy Hendrix lesson that a mere mortal can conquer!

Thanks so much Justin, you're the man!

I'm doing this lesson and having a blast with it, Jimmy Hendrix through a Les Paul.... now that's different ; )

  • you should have got a 24 fret guitar instead of a 22 fret

  • Right man!!Good feeling!!

    Great work on here!!

  • awesome skill mate, thanks very much for putting these up!

  • Very nice Justin, thanks very much

  • wow nice playing, best guitar lesson ever!! nice strat.

  • JUSTINGUITAR IS A BEAST!!

  • can someone msg me how to get this sound from a line 6 pod?

  • @BruilRok try the model of the fender bassman or tweed amp with just a tiny bit of overdrive from the tube screamer, not much though. a lot of the tone comes from using a stratocaster. your fingers influence the tone in a big way as well, remember that! cheers, best wishes! :)

  • @jrox5150 Thanks man sounds a lot better now

  • Excellent again Justin. I've learned it a long time ago and yours is perfect for brushing up. You truly are great. Regarding the bass not in the last part. I believe you're right. He's playing octaves!

    Cheers.
