i found all the sets at kinetic field were all very repetitive. the only set with a different sound from everyone else was above and beyond. steve angello played a few of the same songs right after tiesto did. the dj's saturday night pretty much played the same tracks. by the end of the night i would ask my friend "didn't we just hear this song?" kinda wish there was more variety.

This was a great set! I was sweating down below with the masses. I was looking forward to seeing Benassi on Saturday and I ended up enjoying Afrojack and Guetta way more.

Did anybody else notice on Sunday that nearly every other DJ at EDC was mixing in some Afrojack all of the sudden? I walked inside around 830pm on Sunday and every stage I walked by seemed to be playing his stuff

@gemini80204 at festivals DJs tend to only play “the hits” because it’s such a varied (and huge) crowd with many different types of people. it’s harder to get away with playing new tracks because you don’t want to fall flat on your face in front of all those people if they don’t like it. He would test out brand new tracks in nightclubs not at festivals.

@columthealmighty Well things have changed for sure!! I remember DJ a couple years ago would play ton's of new stuff, and then, they would not even release those tracks for another year.... I was at EDC last year and Afrojack was fresh with his new stuff. NOBODY knew any of those track he played. Maybe 2 or 3 out of his whole set. BUT this was ridiculous, I've heard all those tracks already A YEAR AGO if not MORE.
