  • They remind me of a music box. Very nice, never knew about these before, now I want one!

  • I have one of these and it sounds great, but some of the higher tines don't ring for very long They almost sound muted. I haven't tried wiggling them around yet (it might just be my playing). Either way I try to avoid the highest ones just because I can't get them to sound nice.

  • The upper notes are always a bit difficult to keep at their best. Learn more about keeping the notes sounding good by searching the internet for "kalimba learn how fundamentals".

Two other possibilities: a) Is your kalimba a Hugh Tracey Treble of a Mid-East Mfg instrument?

    b) I have a "Kalimba Doctor" service - if you send me your kalimba, and I very likely improve upon it. -Mark

  • I have always thought of these as toys....until I heard yolu play....this is astonishing...I am a woodworker and until now I have never thought of making one of these....but now I believe I will....I wonder if adding inlay and the like will alter the sound...I'll let you know

  • I love it!!! amazing and beautiful!!

  • OoO Amazing! =D

  • I wish I could get mine to sound like that.
