I remember seeing all three gates open,that house on the other side of the bridge nearly floating away, and the signs that wouldn't let you go down by Blue Water or past the Lake Shore Drive-In.
I'm originally from Goodland and have driven through Monticello my entire life, as well as fished at Norway dam. When i heard about this on CNN I was in disbeleif. My heart goes out to all the people who lost their homes downriver, as well as those in Remington which was hit pretty hard by this 100 year flood as well.
i live down the road and te creek that runs into the dam was very high.

I live in Monticello, I recorded and took pictuires of the flood. I live a block away from the nearest lake. Our house got a little flooded.

i live in northwest indiana and around monticello is some of the best fishing ive ever done but i hope nobody lost their lives in this flash flood

My grandparents live in Monticello and when my grandpa took me fishing below Norway Dam there was only one flood gate open. THIS IS IMPRESSIVE!!!

Live in Winamac, work in Monticello...took me an hour to find a passable road out in White and Pulaski counties 1-08-08.
