Hans von Luck of the 125th Reg. 21st Panzer Div. was walking through the town of Rittershoffen,and wandered into a bombed out church. He found an organ undamaged. He had one of his men tread the bellows, and he sat down and played Bach's "Danker Alle Gott". It attracted towns folks and German soldiers. They gathered, knelt, prayed and sang.
