i have a mini cooper and i actually like the way this looks. i have 18's on mine right now and if they made 20's that weren't too wide to effect the turning radius i would think about doing this

does any1 kno UK law on wheels? I bought 17" bbs LM reps and they are 7.5 and et20 and they stick out. my mechanic told me police might give me a lot of shit because of that, so I want to kno if its legal tu run wheels that stick out?

@lama101 The wheel does not matter, the law is if the top of your tread sticks out. Therefore, you should stretch the tyres (looks better than normal in my opinion anyway).

If your not sure what i'm on about, check out some veedubs or google stretched tyres. It basically means, put smaller width tyres on the wheels :)

@xB3CKOx yea i was thinkin about it. I ran the wheels like mentioned since the post, so for like 2 months, havent been stoped once, and one time even hit a feds mirror n still didnt get stopd LOL. The problem im facing now is that due to running stock suspension, the arches are cutting the tires :( so i will have to get higher ET wheels :/

yep - best not to go over 19's on a Mini - with a width of 7.5". this vehicle was used for some promotional work we did for the Wolf Design brand. being 8.5" wide the turning circle was, shall we say 'slightly compromised'
