i heard that carpenter is a much better run-blocker than pass-blocker, so i was disappointed to see not much run blocking. that being said, it seems like when he gets his hands on someone, it's over

yes that's true. But we have to use the probability. Is it more likely that he will be good based on the evidence or poor? I think he is going to be very VERY poor based on scouting evaluations, senior bowl performance, college tape, etc.

He got picked in the first because they were planning on trading out of the second for more picks I'm not really sure why he wasn't rated higher he's a great blocker and will make an immediate impact Carroll+Schnieder= genius

every highlight was a flat out hold all but one. not convinced. even nick saban the coach was stunned... this draft was a C- at best. I really dont like seeing fellow seahawk fans are in denial, please stop. We all know there was at least 2 if not 3 other OL that we should have gone with. Its not the postion im upset about its the player.. this is not a good look at all.

@CakeMusicProductions Thought our first round pick was weak, we got some steals.. Kris Durham is the most underrarted WR in the draft and i was so happy to pick up byron maxwell. Dude is CRAZY underrated and IMO is one of the best CB's in the draft. Type kris durham into youtube and check out his highlights. MAD fast and sticky hands with a big upside. Overall i give the draft a B-, because i am not happy with out first round pick.

@sportscardsfreak Hey dipshit, learn how to read. I never once said any of the blocks in this vid were a hold, all i said was i didn't like our first round pick. Carpenter is a great player but to pick him in the first round was stupid, as he wasn't even projected to be in the second round. We literally couldve drafted jimmy smith or ryan mallett and still had time to get him in the 2nd. You're a dipshit who can't read and doesn't know shit about football...

@mrmagic221 I can see why they went Carpenter though Jimmy Smith has problems he got caught underage drinking and he also got in trouble for Codeine and i also heard he has problem with women theres a reason why the Hawks stayed away. If he only had the underage drinking thing the Hawks most likely would have taken him because thats a minor thing but the other 2 things are serious.

@seahawksfuckthe49rs Ya we totally should of gotten Mallett you know, cause there's NO CHANCE he would've fallen to our 2nd round pick or even go into the 3rd. I think the Hawks right now are just trying to take solid players with their first round picks that won't bust and will be contributors, rather than someone like Jimmy smith who could be like Aqib Talib.

Thumbs up if you HATE Sean Locklear! Anyways, I was wondering "Who the hell?", but after listening to John Schneider, Pete Carroll, and our bad ass Assistant Coach/OL Coach Tom Cable, I'M PUMPED! We can now release the BEAST! We were ranked 31st in the Run last year and I'm hoping we pick up Gallery to make a dominant OL for years to come. This team is definitely getting tougher!! James Carpenter really is a good addition to this team and the 12th man welcomes him to Seattle!

At first, those of us in Seattle yelled "WTF!" but now the more I learn about this guy, the more I like him. PC said he was simply the best run blocker in the entire draft. We have been missing run blocker long time. Welcome to Seattle James!
