and to the haters, his singing isnt perfect cause he did major damage to his vocal chords in late 2000, and could have lost his voice completely it was so series, and he didnt rest it enough after that. he went down an octave i'd say, but before that happened he hit notes fine. now certain one give him trouble sometimes. give him a break he's killed his voice for the sake of good rock music (rare these days)

Chino isn't who he is because he has a tremendous singing voice. He is who he is because of his style. Its unique, its original and its interesting. Just because he's not singing like a contestant on American Idol doesn't take away from how great and innovative he is. Between this band and ESPECIALLY the deftones, he's paved the way for countless bands to follow. Before the deftones hit, NO ONE sounded like them and now everyone has aspects of them if you're playing hard rock.

Yes Team Sleep is somewhat simular especially in the sence of having atmosphere in the songs that is spacey and unique. You may not like it but whats the point of your comment other to annoy really? And there is another performance on the tube wehere Chino sounds better and the overall perfromance is good unlike this one which everyone can tell his throat is sore from overuse etc. But to me this version is ok.

And the point of this band to have something original and different and etheral like the Tones but softer this bands also sound go into some different directions from the Deftones. I bet you never even heard the whole album and see the expression in Team Sleeps music. This band shows some diversity and experiments with new sound aswell as existing genres. The album had too much of the same pace on some songs for me but they were all unique somewhat weird and trippy but pulled together well.
