he forgot to mix a little mustard and paprika to the kraut and why did he put peper but no salt some ppl like to add even a lil cider vinager...to me you have to eat them with mustard no matter what they need that yellow color
me and my pops made this a couple times already. we like to use a different kind of sausage too. possibly one of my favorite meals to have now. thank you guys!
Looks damn good Boys! It's kinda sad to see commercials sneakin' into yer vids but hey! ya'll deserve some monetary rewards for the hours of entertainment you've provided us with. Your vids have a way of taking me away from the daily grind & makin' me feel like I'm out camping with friends...

@moreeso Sauerkraut is a popular side dish in Europe. It's great to eat with broiled or grilled pork or beef. It's shredded cabbage and other ingredients... Do a search for sauerkraut recipes... good stuff...
Seriously, why is it Polish? I'm Polish and I've never heard of those, like they are only polish. If they those bisons are being killed in USA, then it has nothing to do with Poland.
@Schauc check your facts... there are 1,000's of American Bison in Poland, Russia and many other countries in Europe. There are vids on the Tube to check out! Bison Burgers Schauc?
You guys are awesome! I'm only 15 and I learn alot of tips from you guys! I feel like I'm getting better at barbecuing and I can impress alot of people when I barbeque thanks to you guys. You guys rock!
I'm a returning customer to Crown Blue Bison and I've purchased this sausage. When I cooked it on the grill it was so lean it didn't even smoke! That is not a bad thing :) The flavor was very good, but my tongue missed the true sausage flavor. I will buy this again and I have not tried it the BBQPitboys way so that is on the to-do list.
I can't wait to grill these Crown Blue Bison Ribeyes I purchased with the sausage!!!
Another awesome recipe. Just curious, will you guys be in the smoke on the mountain competition in Virginia this weekend. If you are I will drive up from North Carolina just to watch.
To all you people disrespecting them for endorsing product names; damn, just buy whatever brand you want. Maybe the brands they mention will taste way better than whatever you chose to buy instead. Mostly, it's the ingredients and the process which matters. Otherwise, why are you watching this channel? You sound like children, whining about them making a few bucks from product endorsements. Buy whatever product you want, and go crank up the grill. Or watch a different YouTube channel. Jeebus...
Ive always been a grill man,and a pretty fine one at that.Since I started watching yalls videos,Ive become even better. My ribs and chicken have become alot more consistent. You have inspired me to a new way of cooking, for that I thank yall.Yall make it easy for a redneck to really produce great product.Keep it coming fellas.
@moham123 Lol, Don't "Son" me you old foot fetish perv. Somehow I doubt the Secret Service is concerned with "Brisket Luring" as a possible solution to the war. Either way, thanks for concern.
I see ray used his pitmaster privelage to sample some of that ale......got me some cold miller lites ready for them BBQ PITBOYS cheese burgers later this evening.
Glad to see you guys make it to where you are now, glad to see you got more sponsors...no matter what ppl say bout you being sell outs. You guys cook and deserve the credit. Awesome vid...Now I'm hungry for Kielbasa and Kraut.
@RussMusiq There really is no substitute for beer for recipes that call for a fermented alcoholic beverage. However, you can try either one of two things. Non-alcoholic ginger beer or a small amount of vinegar with water. The main point is to simply retain a good amount of moisture in the recipe to keep the meat nice and tender because bison meat is naturally very lean.
@rkmugen Comment removed because I mistook the Bison Ale brand for a local California brand. Anyway, it's all good; nothing smells as good as kraut that's been slow-cooked in the juices of such high quality meat and beer, all over hot coals!
Whoever disliked this is probably some lesbo fem nazi tree hugging vegetarian. And she probably got hungry watching this vid like the rest of us. Your loss. This looks better than GEWD!
bison is and has always been distinctly American. good stuff. too bad they were virtually eliminated by the railroads. yet, they have survived and are coming back in a big way.
