Hi Producermat please answer this question ;-) I have done what you said in the video. However my pitch on the virtual dj software keeps going up and down by itself. I like to be hands on with the vinyl when beat matching. Would this be messing up the pithc on virtual DJ? Surely it wouldn't? Thanks for an answer.

@XplodeTechnologies Make sure that on the Hercules RMX control panel in the Advanced Tab to have only USB Streaming 1-2 (default) as output (you can access it by going into the program folder in the C drive). The noise you hear is the Line In signal, which you have to turn off.

Hey thats a brilliant video. i just connected maya44 to my cdj 1000 mk3 + djm 800 + virtual dj. downloaded the timecodes from the site for pioneer. all working but the only problem i have is that when i cue a beat it sways away. it does not stay on the cue point, it skips.. ANY SOLUTION?

Mate, i've found some numark decks they're from the year 2000 so a bit old but i thought if i'm just going to use timecode vinyls it should be alright? One thing, when scratching on a normal record it skips without going totally mad scratching, is this normal for a normal vinyl?

I have question, I have numark omni control, Behringer mixer and laptop. I am thinking about adding turntables with timecode. From where would the connection to mixer would go so that I would get line my Mackies SRM450 speakers? The two connection back of hercules or omni control gets connected to turntables. not sure what kind of sound card you have, but your latency was WAY up there. If you're scratching, try dropping the buffer down until basicly it chokes, then back one notch from there. For folks who don't have an ASIO sound card/driver, try ASIO4ALL i was able to use the stock acer sound card + a griffen imic (neither ASIO) combined under ASIO4ALL with really decent results.

But when I record my mix...I use my crossfader on my mixer, then when I listen to what i recorded, it just plays both songs overlapping, As if I didn't use my mixer @ all. I have a gemini vinyl2mp3 turntable, a serato scratch LIVE series 2 vinyl timecode, a Behringer U-Control sound card....and i am going to get a mixer soon (The "Behringer DX626 DJ Mixer (3 Channels)". Right now i am hooked into an amplifier and when i do get a signal in VDJ, there is never a circle....just a slanted line. and when i scratch it never scratches backwards or does a backspin...just plays the audio forward....is this because i dont have a proper mixer? coul you please help?!

Try flipping the L and R cables from your turntable. IF you can't (using soundcard from mp3 turntable) go into advanced settings and try invert. You might be missing either the L or R channel for one reason or another. Try pulling each one at a time, pull L, does it keep the slant or drop entirely? same with R.. Also, check to make sure you have no EQ effecting the turntable going into VDJ.

you either need the controller or a 2 in 2 out soundcard. The signal from the timecodes needs to be input to the computer , processed , and pushed back out as the audio you hear. so a mixer on its own cant do that. essentialy in this demo the conroller is being used because it has an inbuilt 2 in 2 out soundcard, but like i say any 2 in 2 out soundcard can be used instead, u can pick one up for around £60 :)

Hey, I hooked up my turntables through the RMX and then outputted it to an external mixer.  The digital music sounds crisp and perfect, but when I use vinyl records the sounds is really distorted. Any thoughts? (Herc is updated, so is VDJ to the latest and geatest)

Nevermind, I changed the USB streaming to 1-2 + Line in 1-2 and that fixed it, but now I have the timecode tone coming through the speakers when the left deck plays. o.0

I have the same problem, for som reason it started doing this from vdj 6.0 onwards, with 5.2 the problem was not present.

I think i fixed this by not going out left and right deck from the rmx and using the xfader on the mixing desk, instead i just went out line output 1 & 2 from remix into 1 channel on the other mixer and used the xfader on the rmx instead.

ground cables usualy are attached to the main audiio wires from deck to mixer ect. they just are used as a safety wire in case of eletricity failure. i think it makes the flow of electricity less dangerious to youre eqipment?

grounding cables come already attached to the turntables when u buy them... they do exactly what Danny says in his comment below but they also prevent the low level "humm" generated by the turntables motors becoming present in the audio.

ASIO (Audio Signal In Out) , its a term for the way in which the card communicates the audio signal to the computer as opposed to analog as is used by cheaper cards.

i used to get this problem it was working fine then this started happening! I removed Virtual Dj and the RMX drivers from my computer reinstalled them and the problem went away... this was on a mac but it might work for PC too

hey thanks. ok i did just like you said new firmware and everything. im using the numark timecoded cd and everything. still not working. i made sure everything was connected properly also. Keep in mind i only have one Denon if that helps. I only got one so im trying to see how to use it even if its only for one deck on the computer.

hey bro ok i have a question. i have everything st up like you do except that instead of technics i got Denon 3500. for some reason wehen i press play on the denon nothing happens. so i press source on rmx and i hear the timecode tone. basically i cant get the music to come out. i tried both the time code cds from VDJ and Numark Cue ones well Virtual Vinyl cds. i have NUMARK CUE btw
