One thing that a lot of guitarists forget to mention is that if you turn down the volume to get a clean tone when the amp is already driven, you need a TREBLE BLEED-mod on the volume-pot. (capacitor and a resistor) If you don't have that the guitar will just loose the bright tone while turned down and get muffled. Or does anybody have any other exprerience?
@knikk77 I got a set of TX Specs for my tele, they come with the capacitor and stuff for your tone knob. Helps a lot when you rolled off the volume knob half way.

I have not had that experience. The "tone" knob is very sensitive and makes up for any loss in the treble department.
