  • now wetton should sing epitaph and moonchild

  • Well, but THE MUSIC, is still playing... good winds...

  • I love Ian's flute playing.

  • Une pièce magistrale, sur un album (original) tout autant magistrale. Merci messieurs Hackett, Wetton, Mcdonald et Thompson. Merci MayaZlatogorka !

  • Surprise.... JW,, No GL and Robert Fripp, Can I have more info when this was possible ? Thnks for sharing that anyway

  • @RVCastel this was on Steve Hackett's 1996 tour, where he was supported by John Wetton and Ian McDonald. They played a lot of Genesis stuff and some KC as well :)

  • Never Heard this version before,,,, And I thought before I listened: hard to imagine this tune without Greg Lake... JW does an excellent cover though.... Not GL but I'm buying it! Thanks for the share =)

Like the hacket influence in this too,,,, Any clue as to when the Video was shot? I'd assume a good deal more recently than 69

  • love it...bring em' back...crimson the only truly great rock act ever...

  • Well I think this is an amazing 'cover' and brings in a whole new audience for this prog masterpiece. Love Hackett's subtle textures - worth the entry ticket for the gig alone; Ian McDonalds's flute solo(s) are sheer perfection. Vocals and harmonies are spot on. So for me its a totally amazing performance and projects exactly what progressive rock is all about.

  • @BluesideUK dont forget the bass!

  • Such a waste of talent...

  • Maju, to jest legenda, moja młodość i szkoda, że nikt nie pamięta czy też nie zna KING CRIMSON.!!!

  • This is a very nice cover of a song from one of the greatest records ever made. I say "cover" because, even though Ian McDonald played on the original, the rest of this group does a good job, but doesn't capture the magic. Whoever this drummer is just plays it straight and doesn't even attempt the delicate intricacies Michael Giles played.

  • @Fatback1110

the drummer is chester thompson who played with genesis when they went on tour from 1976/77 until the last tour in 2009

  • Sorry. Greg Lake's vocals just cannot be replaced on this song. There is no comparison.

  • Wonderful.

  • superb flute solo!

  • fantastic KC song , played by superb musicians

  • what effect is hackett using during the solo?

  • IAN MCDONALD; GOD BLESS YOU!!! WOW!BEAUTIFUL!

  • This is so beautiful

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 36 views wow. i guess a lot of crimson fans aren't privy to the youtube technology.
