I'd like to say that distancing myself from my church (which I've done) has not distanced me from my core values of peace and charity towards others. I hold many values to heart that can be linked directly to my Catholic religion.

Now as a rule, no one can convince me of anything without my agreement, which is why I tend to stay away from racists and bigots, because they simply don't share my values.
