i seem to be having the same issue. my wii fw is 4.2u, and when i loaded dop-mii, to try to load and install 4.1, the app failed and after that...flatline. the wii turns onto a black full-brick screen and i only see a pure black screen. no words, just black.
if anyone has some methods that actually work, please, i need legitimate files to actually boot it into multi-mod manager, and that doesn't require using the gc controller, please send me an e-mail message, it is pisceabishop@gmail.com.
You've got yourself a banner brick buddy. Don't worry, it's not that bad, can you get into maintenance mode and boot the wii properly? If you can use AnyTitle deleter to remove corrupted title. If you can't boot properly in maintenance mode can you tell me what menu version you are running (e.g 3.XU or 3.XE or 4.XU or 4.XE)?

i had to fix a mates wii u need to push down the dpad harder i used locking pliers and it worked i then installed new super mario bros and my wii software updated i was on 4.1 now its on 4.3 i then had to hack wii again made sure priloader was installed this time and down gradered software back to 4.1 just in case.

Im all happy then i get a system files are corrupted message! Whoever made that theme is a really big dick! Do not get that theme whoever is reading this! It bricks your wii!!!
try savemiifrii, open ur gamecube controller, take out the plastic under the d-pad, plug it in to the gcn port 4, start the wii while ur holding all directions on the d-pad at the same time and ull see ur system menu version (if it fails, try again), then put a disk with 4.3 in and wait for the version number to become 4.3 and then ur fixed:D note: u have to wait for 4.3 to come out for this to work
@RichieBlazeRicky yes, u have to take out the thing under the dpad. there isnt any 4.3 games yet but try looking it up everyday until a game comes with 4.3:P

You will need a mod chip with autoboot disc feature. Get one that connects with a clip or a to the existing drive ribbon. Then you will need to autoboot UUDv4. This will load wad manager 1.5 which you can use to restore your Wii. You can also use a Home Brew autoboot disc since you obviously have it installed. Good luck but you won't get anywhere without a modchip.

you can get a new Wii from lockerz in exchange from doing points and if u want an invite i'll give u one. and sorry for my bad english... i'm romanian
you can try this works 100% after you installed preloader restart the wii and preloder will come up go to settings near the bottom you will see a word called IOS change it to 249 and press save settings then restart your wii and preloder will come up click system menu after your wii is not broken.

But you know, there are still some problems. I can't acess Wii Settings and the SD Menu, when i insert game discs my Wii freezes or when i'm able to start then it gos back to the Wii menu. Is this semi-brick?

you did gc method wrong. you must deassemble gc pad , take the cover off , take the plug off for 2 mins , then you boot it with already holding left right up down.

You've got yourself a banner brick buddy. Don't worry, it's not that bad, can you get into maintenance mode and boot the wii properly? If you can use AnyTitle deleter to remove corrupted title.
