@DeutschSoprano The documentaries are in foreign languages because they are made by and for people who speak those languages. One of my favorite singers is Vivica Genaux. She is an American, born and raised in Alaska (her mother and father are both Europeans and one is Belgian). There is a beautiful lengthy documentary made of her mostly set in Alaska. The language spoken in Alaska turns out to be English, but there is a French translation spoken OVER the Englsh. Why? The French made it.

Is there a version that isn't dubbed over in French? I can understand the German, but not when there is French playing over on top of it :/
