@CreedNapify The main reason he started cooking meth was because he was sure he was going to die. Now that he might be cured, he realizes that he's lied profusely to his family and just cooked like 42 pounds of meth which is going to be sold throughout the city. He basically got himself into a lot of shit that he can't get himself out of now. Now that he might not die, it was all for nothing.

@CreedNapify His main reason for cooking meth is gone, he started cooking because he thought he'd be dead soon and wanted to be able to provide for them. Now that he was better he had no reason to cook, but Walt had grown to enjoy cooking and it made him feel important so he didn't want to stop. Which is ultimately why he didn't stop.

More importantly, I think that it's because cancer allowed him to be the man he was never able to be. He likes the power associated with being a criminal. Whatever extent his cooking meth was for providing for his family, it was always and increasingly is, to be the man he was never able to be. He wants to live on his own terms; ironically, dying was what allowed him to do that.
