  • I'm probably going to get crap for this, but, 'tho he wasn't Kieth, Kenny was a damned good drummer.

  • DAMN IT! I Can't get my computer loud enough for this song!

  • 1:53

    LOL I love John!

  • There are some really solid performances preserved from this concert - "Eminence Front" is particularly good.

At some point between Daltrey's sappy delivery of the bridge and Townshend's Chuck Berry performance, this song seriously loses its way, though. I wonder if they even cared by that point.

  • @EuchridEucrow1 I respectfully disagree with you... to a point.

This song, to me, is a celebration of Rock n Roll. Pete's "Chuck Berry performance" and the pianist (I wish I knew his name) doing his damnedest to emulate Jerry Lee Lewis is a fantastic!

Kenny could have done this song with a five piece trap kit and still rocked it!

And Entwistle... OK, could have done this in his sleep.

Daltrey's bridge was... Well... Maybe... Lackluster?

I always thought of this as a Pete song...

  • Just don't compare him to Daughtry.

  • 82 Maple Leaf Gardens ..Final Concert ..HBO special.still have the vhs

  • You cut it off before the best part dude! What gives???

  • The WHO rock! Love you Roger, your songs aren't the hardest to sing, not

all songs rhyme! Good job dudes.

Come tour the USA again-miss ya!

  • FUCK YOU SOBER8? ITS ONE OF THEIR BEST

  • What is your problem, I never said anything bad about this song, you can go fuck yourself asshole

  • During the verses, Pete sounds like he's doing a sarcastic immitation of Johnny Rotten. Listen especially to his affected accent on the line "Rock is dead they say...".

  • He is. LOL.

  • Never knew Entwistle picked the bass on this song.

  • Best version of this song I've heard!

  • Roger Daultry...the Golden Girls called, they want their hair-style back.

  • No, it's DALTREY.

  • it's daltrey

  • theyre so badass

  • lol roger looks like these rockers and rollers from the 50's

  • guitar name and pickups?

  • It was a Schecter PT/Saturn s made for townsend (one of his signature guitarrs)by schecher a custom company who do research about guitairs and the designer of the guitar is called roger giffen ! Two Schecter SuperRock tapped humbuckers pickups with master volume and tone and tap controls.

  • 1 of the greatest who songs! LONG LIVE ROCK AND THE WHO ( or at least daltre and townsen

  • "We were the first band to vomit in the park and find the distance to the stage too far'...now that's rock and roll

  • definitely #1 band= THE WHO

  • It's "we were the first band to vomit in the BAR" not park........."bar rhimes with "far"

  • one of the greatest!

  • why did you cut out the third verse?

  • great song

  • and no thats not there farewell tour get it right geez

  • I know it's not their farewell tour, but at the time it was to be. I have seen them in concert many times since this show. Notice how farewell tour is in quotation marks.

  • The who rocks america 1982 Toronto canade Iv got that tape lol

  • look at rogers hair, lol.

we love him we love the who

  • This is from the "It's Hard" tour. The album and tour are from 1982.

  • actually from their farewell tour

  • which farewell tour?

  • this is the last concert in that tour, in toronto

  • Its always interesting to note how there are lights on Pete and Rog but not On John. Same thing with screen time. Just watch The Kids Are Alright. So sad. :(

  • great- purely for roger being very funny!!!

  • Ye gads, what is Roger doing back there lol. Don't think I've ever seen him properly dance before.

  • haha exactly...that's what makes him Roger!

  • And that's why we love him.

  • Now you know why in Quadrophenia Roger's theme is "Helpless Dancer." But somehow, it works so very well for him.

  • Very cool! Tahnsend looking mightily Bruce Springsteen-ish in this one!

  • Springsteen would be lucky to be anything like Townshend.

  • Agreed!
