@stjames888 Actually the hand jive was created in the 50s. It really doesn't matter the tempo and beat, but this song is a the same as the popular "Willie and the Hand Jive" that came out in 1958.

Sure, Grease was made in the 80s and thus all the music was written then, but it was all based on real 50s music, as with every other aspect of the movie.

heh, i was an extra in my school's production of this...and was only in the dance contest scene. It was so fun yet I was so tired at the end of every show...it was worth it though. Except...I cant remember if it happened during 1 of the shows or 2 of the 3 but we either forgot to do our illegal move or did it right when Vince came to kick us out. Definitely a lot of fun....I want to be in another production of Grease!
