  • Does it transform into a robot?

  • ... Not to mention extremely shitty customer service from:

    Joel

    Silverstone Tech Inc,

    13626 Monte Vista Ave.

    Unit A

    Chino, CA 91710

    909 465 9596 Tel

    909 465 9569 Fax

He never got back to me about extra parts I wanted to buy (stuff that isn't listed on the site) when I was using this case. He just plain didn't reply to my email. Awesome job on the customer service guys!

  • @neogambro HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! WOW

  • Only thing missing is the hole for CPU cooler bracet

  • I wish this case was made more in metal instead of plastic, had a hole for CPU cooler and removable mobo tray. If it had those things I would buy this becuse I think the rotation of the mobo area with 90 degree is genius idea.

  • it would be cool if their was a mid tower version

  • will an xps 9000 fit this case?

  • When will RV01 be updated with 10 expansion slots for 4-way SLI/CrossFireX or will it come on next RV03?

  • how does the airflow on the tjo3 work?

  • In other reviews of this case it is mentioned of brackets that come with it for mounting an external radiator on the back. i was wondering what size(s) radiator is able to be mounted to the back of this case?

  • radiator 360 can fit at the back of the case!

  • dunno if it fits, the space is kinda small

  • But heat does not dissipate the same way particulates is air does. Of course the fog will blow out. Show me a stacker vs a raven same hardware and environment, then test the temp over a period ovf time under load and at idle. Yjay would be a worthwhile test and it would not get fog all over a working motherboard. Better yet send it all to me and I'll do the tests for you! :)

  • one question can I add another 180mm fan to this case??

  • No, there is no space for additional fans.

What you can do for example is to exchange the fans with more powerful versions. We offer seperate other 180mm fans with manual fan controller or flashy LED's.

You can also create more airflow by using 5.25" cage with additional fan. We have a HDD cage for 5.25" bays with 120mm fan, called CFP51.

    The RV01 case offers 2x180mm and 1x120mm.

What do you like to cool with another fan? Case is concepted to offer airflow to all neccessary parts.

  • That helps out alot, I was just trying to keep my core i7 920 cool @ 4.0Ghz, but the extra info you gave me is great. Thank you :>D BEST CASE ALL AROUND!!

  • @Silverstonetech Of course the video shows the case with minimal hardware connected. Try doing this with 2 GTX480's in SLI w/all cables connected, complete with 6 Sata drives, cables and an EATX mobo. I have this case and I am disappointed with the airflow. I was getting way lower temps on my old Lian Li. If you do SLI, don't buy this case.

  • @neogambro maybe its just you. what kind of retarded baby gets UNFINISHED nvidia tech that constantly goes up to 100 degrees?

    GG.

  • @DATSlovely Maybe it's the fact that I need better cooling and airflow and threw this shitty case in the trash. Maybe you're pissed off cos you bought it and you found out the hard way that it sucked. Or maybe you have a low-end computer and can cool with only a desk fan. If I'm a "retarded baby" for wanting to run Nvidia SLI and keep them relatively cool, then so be it. I switched back to my old Lian Li Red Armor Suit and my cards idle around 37 degrees C. Hows that for airflow?

  • I wish this case had more airflow, I'd replace my Antec 1200 in a heartbeat. Out of cases I would die for, this is at the top of the list. Any Antec 1200 vs. Raven RV01 benches?

  • Normally more airflow is not needed, the RV01 can easily handle a full equipped system with 3 graphiccards for example. More airflow means also more noise and why get a loud case when the RV01 offers you the same result with lowest noise possible?

Actually I also do not know a comparison of these 2 cases, maybe someone els know a site?

  • Yes Mr. Silverstone guy your soo true :>D Great case and video

  • I am Coming from a CoolerMaster Evolution where I had 3 - 280 GTX's in tri-sli. On that case all the cards stayed right around the same temperature.

With this case GPU 1 & 2 run 7-15 degrees hotter than GPU 3 when gaming. My mobo and cpu are watercooled AND I installed two 120mm fans using the brackets meant for the radiator on back so that they rest side by side, one inch above the 180mm fan. Please advise!

  • @Silverstonetech this or the tj07 for air

  • @nascasho antec cases are crap, get this case, it relies on the fact that heat naturally rises, you dont need much airflow for this case cause all the hot air rises by itself

  • the orientation is right w/ the 02, but lost d aesthetics of d 01.

    as a proud owner of d RV01, but i was rilly disappointed w/ d looks of d 02.

HDD rack orientation is all wrong. there's only airflow 2 cool d lower drive, what about d top drives? u should have kept d HDD rack orientation of d RV01 where it's vertical & airflow is equal in all d HDD racks.

looks like i'm gonna have to stay with my RV01 until your next Raven case.. maybe an RV01.2? same 01 exterior, w/ 02 orientation?

  • i own one as well i enjoy it looks good stands out from the crowd :D

hey Silverstone is it possible to get some pictures of how proper cable management is done with this case?

  • Hello cabby007, sorry for the late reply, anyway, many thanks for your comment.

I guess in the meantime you already found tons of pictures from RV01 cable management examples and suggestions.

Cable Management mainly depends on your personal needs, personal flavour, your used hardware and your skill to route cables.

Also we do not have pictures of it ;) but nice idea for a tech talk on our website.

  • I actually own this case unlike a lot of the people doggin on it Specs: RV01 Raven Case Thermaltake 1200Watt Evga x58 i7 940 @4 ghz Coolermaster V8 6gb ddr3 corsair dominator 3x gtx285 sli 2x 300gb raptor 10k's in raid 0 2x WD 1.5tb 1xbluray 1xdvdrw running this on a 1080p Samsung 40" @4ms *This case is fantastic, dont buy into the haters. I have worked with many cases from the worst , to lian li's and this case is truly a pleasure to work with. Fantastic cable managment.
  • hi since ur own it, i'm actually looking at this VS the HAF 932. could u ellaborate a little more on the raven? I'm a little worried about the longer cabling required for clean-wiring setup for the HD's.

    Thanks

  • there are cable management cutouts on the mobo tray and also you put the sata connections on the hd's in the back, like behind the mobo tray side panel . the case is different so you will have to approach the management differently, but the amount of management features and complicated interior gives you more options and almost assures the ability to have a clean case

  • the best thing i can advise is, if you are getting this case you are probably doing a pretty beastly build , I recommend getting a modular power supply, not because of this case in particular but because it is a bottom mounted psu case , you want to do as little nesting as possible * ideally .. none . go for a thermaltake toughpower very nice psu's

  • read hardware secrets hardwaresecrets dt cm *add the o's and period lol , yea read their review of the rv01 raven, they have fantastic pictures showing the management features and specifically the hd area, although they did almost no management due to it being a throw together system for a review lol

  • Hi, just wondering, how would a VGA connecter fit inside the top with the cover on? I'm thinking of getting this case but am a little skeptical of the way cables and connecters fit in it.

  • Hello Earthling16.

sorry if the answer comes much too late for you, but other people surely also wondering.

If you like to use a long VGA connector, for example if you use older D-Sub monitor and need a DVI to D-Sub adapter, then you cannot close the top cover.

For such problem, we suggest to use an extension cable with DVI connection for graphic card and D-Sub connection for monitor.

So you can route the connector outside of the top cover.

  • Okay thanks for the response. It was very enlightening. Now i think i might buy this case.

  • unfrotunatley my penis is NOT removable from your mothers ass hole

  • rodney quote, lmao, that guy is nuts.

  • call me crazy but if they wanted to show heat dissipation why not use like infrared to record the video?

  • soundtrack title anyone?

  • looks great

  • No cooling dead zones. I'm definitely going to buy this case.

  • wow this video is really good at not showing anything... =[ nice case though! XD

  • thats an awesome case, its just missing the removable motherboard tray

  • sick i want it NOW!!!!!!!!!

  • Where is part 2? This video just shows, that the fans blow air.

  • omfg guys, are colors and "not aluminium" the only things you think about? This is about a solution for cooling and cables, the design looks cool enough if you ask me, so how about spending some thought on what's important?

Writing this, I'm performing a stress test on 4 HDDs for temperature, and the Raven might be a better solution for cooling them than the standard case. Also, I'm having a chaotic airflow and a truly weird self-made dust filter.

So this is interesting. Need more info!

  • Amazing case, but when will an aluminium version be avaliable?

  • Well, I think it is black inside...

    and very very cool effect.....

  • i love that case but the isnide isn`t black :(

  • i cant stand a case that isnt black inside, im guesing your the same?

  • whaaat... i think the black interior is sexy!

it displays your hardware better (with some kind of light)

  • re-read my comment and note the "isnt" :P

  • If you get the one with the window the inside is black.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
