  • NOTE*** this mixer DOES NOT MULTI-TRACK, its is one in and one out, it's ok for live audio, but not great for studio use.

  • can this be used with iOS? and record through garageband?

  • can i record a bass and a drum???

  • @jesusofmaiden yes u just need drum microphones

  • i bought the 16 usb version and it wont record and i was thinking maybe i have to sync it up first. i am also running it straight into a computer not through a guitar. windows 7

  • Can I have a Iphone there insted of a Ipod???

  • is it compatible with the iPod touch?

  • yes it is compatible with ipod touch ,,,but if you want to record you must record with the "voice memo" app

  • Ohhh... These aren't 2.0... If this isn't 2.0 it won't record separate tracks...

  • If you record with more than one chanel. does it make more than one track in the ipod/ wiith the software??

  • Yes... You can record all the 16 channels in separate tracks...

  • If you need multichannel audio recording straight to your computer, you need something like iO|26, multimix8 (or 16) usb2.0, multimix8 firewire, etc.

It's cheaper than a harddisk drive recorder (but you need a computer). Each track will be recorded directly. You can fade/bal/pan after recording.

  • hey can i know whts th point of having lots of channel ?? hahaha

  • what powers this unit? linear or Switch mode PSU

  • can i adjust the volume levels on each invidual channel after i record on my pc?

  • Recording is only on the stereo output, not on each track.

If you're looking for multi-track recording, look at the "MultiMix 8 FireWire" or "MultiMix 8 USB 2.0", but you will use a computer with a recording software.

Another difference : With iPod, you are limited to 16bit 44.1kHz (24 bit/44.196kHz for the Multimix USB2 for example)

  • Of course, If you're using only two mics, you can assign them to left and right channels and adjust the volume levels on each after recording (balance).

It's not what I call multi-track recording, but it can be useful (podcasting for example)

  • hey there my friend. So, are you telling me that this actually cant record more than 2 channels? For example i have a 8 piece Drumset, i cant record echa piece at the same time, using 8 mics? plz answer =)

  • well thats super co0l, but fr0m what ive read fr0m 0ther watchers, i dunn0 if im g0nna buy that, c0z theyre havin tr0uble, and i dun wanna spend my m0ney buyin useless thingss... i d0nt use iPod and i was trying to find a mixer directly to my laptop..

any suggestions? with minimum of 8 channels.. maximum of 12.. and cheaper... plzz..??

  • i have a very important question to ask : can each input be plugged to an individual amp????

  • Does the iMultimix 8 accept iPod Classic (6th Gen)?

On a few sites, they say it accepts upto 5th Gen iPods, but others say it accepts newer 6th Gen iPods.

I have a 6th Gen iPod Classic and I would just like to know before i spend the cash on one

    Thanks
