@jdvanc1 Over 600 points over 200 goals and he was known as an enforcer. Lost in the Finals to fuckin Wayne Gretzky as a coach and lost 2 other times in the playoffs the only 3 years he was a head coach , Yeah he sucked balls dude. Shut the fuck up
Question: Are this fight and the last fight between Terry O'Reilly and Gillies in this series the two WORST BEATINGS of Clark Gillies' career? I can't think of another duke out in which Gillies ate more punches or absorbed more punishment. Talk about your one sided beatings ...!!!

Fairy O'Reilly was down. Too teams the Philadelphia Fairies and the Boston Blowjobfagboys had to either fight kicking like Girlboys, have their fairy teammates to help them or the Refs against Big Jethro Gillies who could fight alone like a Man,not like the back stabber Girlboy fucktard pussy's like Dave Shultz,Terry O'Reilly,Stan Jonathan.
Gillies took out Middleton hard the game before, and O'Reilly ran Gillies into the boards, and had his gloves off before Gillies knew he was in a fight. Gillies gets payback in fight number 4 by doing the same thing.
LMAO I love listening to biased idiots make excuses. Gillies got killed here. They were both tough as hell, and each won about half of their fights. Gillies got his ass handed to him in this one, and won a couple of decisive fights against Terry too. Stop being a friggin homer making excuses. You are worse than the Bruin announcers! Watch Gillies fight Lyndon Byers. Lyndon killed him!
boston - Ill be honest Gillies lost this fight, (And i agree the series was kinda close) but PLEASE dont put 2 much into the 34 yr old (and last yr in the NHL) Clark Gillies fighting a young Lydon Byers, PLEASE! - Byers rarely fought the other teams #1 guy - that was J Millers role, Byers would occasionally fight the others #1 but not alot. BTW you mention the Byers-Berube fight i think that was Berubes 1st NHL fight, yes he got his ass kicked but im almost sure it was his 1st NHL fight (1987)
LMAO Berube was 22 and Lyndon was 23! They were a year and a half apart! Both players had not played even half a season at the nHL level yet! It was NOT Berubes first NHL fight, although it was one of his worst beatings. Yes, Byers was not the heavyweight at the time, nor was Berube. Miller and Brown were. But both became the heavyweights eventually. Byers fought Ewen, Kordic, Baumgartner, and anyone else that stepped up. Keep making excuses for Berube though. Philly fans are notorious for that!
dude, Lyndon Byers took on everyone. He was one of the toughest guys in the game when he played. I agree that Gillies was old but you have to give Byers credit. Not a lot of other guys would have gone after Clark Gillies
Rattus17 - Lydon Byers 'fightcard' was good but NOT great! He never fought the Proberts, Browns, Kocurs McSorelys of the world, (Rare) that was Jay Millers 'role' Miller was CLEARLY the #1 enforcer for the Bruins. Byers was a tough guy and good fighter but rarely a #1 heavyweight -- BTW I HATE the Bruins but i just love the way that Terry Oreilly played the game, love it all heart and guts. Sadly in todays PC NHL these guys are very rare, long live real/touch hockey!
Did I say Gillies beat O'Reilly here? Homer? Gillies vs Byers....LMAO..... Gillies in literally the twilight of his career.... come on! Everybody who knows hockey knows Gillies was one of the most feared men of his time. Oh... and nobody is as bad as those Bruin announcers!
Terry carpet bombed him.

O'Reilly was a kicking cheating pussy. Lousy player, and a lousy coach.

Punch count: O'Reilly 13, Gillies 1, (and I'm being generous with the 1). Terry hit 'im with so many lefts, Jethro was beggin' for a right!!

Round One: Gilles
Round Two: O'Reilly. Although O'Reilly ran out of gas at the end, he was a wolverine throughout most of this one.
So After Two Rounds: We are Tied At 1-1!
Up Next: Round Three! Let's Get It On!!!
