tard, can am sucks. in about 90% off all fair videos in youtube the polaris wins. and more weight is better in most situations. with more wieght you can pull heavier loads, u win in mud and drag with a rope between the atvs. and were i live, can ams are overpriced and sucks. there is also no one that buys them. only atvs you see is polaris. think ive seen max 6 can ams were i live.
agreed water doesnt prove much. u gott remember it depends on rider too. i mean the guy on the can am looks like a retard. and it looks like the left lane is the harder lane
You dont know what you're talking about, theres no such thing as 28" mudlite xtrs. By the way, to win this race in this pit, it was all luck. And honestly, what the hell are you talking about "the can-am cant transfer the power to the ground like the polaris does"? Can-ams will rape any polaris ever made in any and all kinds of terrain and/or races of any kind and will also outlast any polaris.
i'm really sorry that you have wasted your money on a can am but the truth is the thruth! and hosnestly you think winning like the guy did on a 300 or 400 ft long track, was all about luck lol come on think again! lol
you are just pissed at being 2 nd and not first! sorry but nothing I can do & I know what I'm thalking about cause I do mud race, mud run's all the time and damn know what works and what don't!
the order for mud runs:1. polaris & brute, 2.cam am's then yamaha's then honda's
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm really sorry that you're a fag. I dont have a can-am, dumbass. I dont care if you race or not, Can-am and Kawasaki win a huge majority of the time. Look up the CMR, PSR, Mud nationals, or east coast nationals results and you'll see for yourself. I race a kawasaki and I do pretty good against others but its always the can-ams that get me. By the way, you did not personally drive in the pit, I did and it is ALL luck. I mean come on, Hondas and suzukis were beating Can-ams and Kawis sometimes.
you never know what the bottom of a mud pit looks like so mud races don't really tell which bike if better unless they both go through the same pit no wider then the bike one at a time because side by side are two different sides and two different difficulties.
The CAN AM Outlander is far better than this bulky XP tank. For example, the XP weighs more than 100lbs more than the nimble Outlander. It has to use a 850cc engine@ 70 hp while the Outlander uses a 800cc engine and produces 71hp. In board brakes on the Outlander is far better than than having them at each wheel, less up-sprun weight, & more mass centralization. I could go on for hrs on this kind of stuff.
lol ur totally wrong, its not all about HP fucktard. u are talking like everything is about HP and cc.. it doesnt matter if can am has more hp the polaris is way better to transfer it to the ground, thats why it can pull alot more and are better in mud. and also the weight helps alot in pulling heavy loads or driving in mud. i got an polaris sportsman 500 09 and if it would be lighter i dont understand how i could get around in the snow with my outburned tires.
im not going to even try i can already see you are very brand loyal and no matter what you will support polaris hey if you believe in something stand by it all i know is i will never stand behind polaris in any of there current models because they just done hold up like my canam does and to be honest sveinungj you sound like a 9yr old kid who owns a little polaris and has had nothing else i hope one day you grow up and change your mind
those outlaw tires suck i got 28 inch zillas no problem i put mine up against any tire ex silver backs those are wicked they suck trail riding beat to death ZILLAS BABY!
Fuck Polaris i go to mud bogs every weekend and i have a Can am 800 H.O and its really luck if you arent the first to go through the track cause i have had many a day were ive lost to shit quads and then we switch and we switch lanes and ill smoke there assses
God I was in the crowd and it was so boring. The retards who made the pit put huge reefs and logs in it just to get hung up. 9 out of 10 people got stuck. It was luck that usually got the peope out.
i wanna get 28 inch silverbacks for my sportsman 800 all it has is a 2 inch stage one gorila lift on the front will they fit does any one kno please reply
im gettin them with new rims gona keep my stock tire on the stock rims case i ever wana do a quick swap do i still need the spacers and thanks for the reply
oh gee, that looked so interesting to watch. Who was in charge of building that course?? Boring for the crowd, just sit and watch them spin...Not the consistency you want to make it exciting to watch. Should be a little more dirt added to the mix
I rode an outlander and because it is lower it got stuck easy. I would take the polaris over the outlander, just make sure that if you are towing something with the hitch that the welds are checked. We were out moose hunting and the welds for the hitch broke on y buddies polaris while going up hill. Not good when you are hauling half of the camp equipment.
no shit dumb fuck...thats what me and ostacruiser were talking about...he said i drive a john deere trailfire 440 because he saw it in one of my videos but i told him a drive a arctic cat zr 700 snowmobile...i drive a 2007 honda rancher atv...so dont butt into people conversations because u just make yourself look like a complete idiot...
I have to agree with ostacruiser, experience has a huge impact. For the record i just bought an 09 outlander800R XT last thursday and the dealer let me try the 850XP and the Can Am felt a litter quicker and had better ergonomics. Polaris centainly have made improvements though.
Come on...... I have heard numerous times now about a certain group of people relishing in this video's glory LOL. And my comment was hardly a rant. I viewed this vid the day U posted it until now with no comments so chill. But when I hear 5 times in the last week how an XP crushed at M.M., I had to tell the truth as it is.
So glad to hear some reliable info on this video. I know i sparked some good comments on previous posts, but i got tired of hearing all the bashing of the can am. As i said before, I want my quad to ride and handle well with good power. And my can am does it all for me. I never rode the new xp, but i had to many breakdowns with my polaris to even THINK of getting another one.
Wow, are you finished your "Rant"? Everyone that was at the event knows that the bike themselves played only minor roles in any of the wins, the rider and luck were the biggest determining factors. Hopefully the 2009 pit will allow the individual bikes to play a more major role in the wins....
There's nothing to brag about there. The kid here bought the unit the night before and had never even owner an ATV prior to this event. The XP 850 also got it's ass handed to it by a stock 06 OL 800 XT. Stock tires too. Rally, U are more than welcome to come again this year ( Aug 15th/09 ) and loose again LOL. We will not post videos of all of the Can-Am winning either cause they always win LOL.
If that is the case and the can am videos are as accurate as they say then tires and rider should not matter, the can am should win no matter what because its supposedly the best, but its not and that's why this guy lost, you don't think there were amateurs on cats and popo!?
the can-am is better but he can't hit the hole in high range!!!! polaris is to popular sure they run good but no power! an outlander is way more powerful! AC is the best any way but still!!!!
Thanks, do you have a mud pro?I have owen'd 2 polaris over the years. They gave me a lot of trouble, sold them and got a cat, 04 650v2 and now have a 07 650h1 im happy with them.
i get so sick of people talkin about polaris coz all they do is get there butt kicked by them...and that right there shows how much more power it has then some can-am...and sure maybe they r the same on a flat track in a race...but in power if you put a sportsman in low and tie it end to end with something its gonna pull that crap all over the place or as u can c right here put in a mud pit and c who has more power
So the rider of the Can Am gets a bad line and all of the sudden the Outlander is a terrible bike..... I think they have proven themselves to many times to use this video for comparison.
Hell I love my polaris.I have an 06' sportsman 800 and its never let me down.Best machine ive ever bought. Ive crossed ponds with it and ridden through numerous mud holes and its still runnin strong. Im lookin to get that new 850 sportsman next. Thats a nice machine.
293729 ... polaris dominates the snocross circuit has the longest line of quads sooo once again dont give me any of ur homework bullshit i have owned and riden the shit outta polaris all my life .. not problems ... hit a tree at 120 on my old 2003 edge chasis 600 and she still ran after ... do that on ur xtra light xp .. and i dont care if i spelt a word wrong, 100 grand a year to wire houses doesnt really require me to spell every word on the internet correctly but neways rzr awaits mud pce
Seems i struck a nerve! Well, if ya hit a tree at 120, guess yer lucky to be alive (did ya have any head trauma). I can't say i dislike polaris snowmobiles, but i wouldn't say they dominate snowcross. I can't even say that ALL their quads are junk.Mine was! If you have had good luck with yours, thats great, but i can't ever buy another 1. But if you make 100gs a year, buy a 800r can am xt and see foreyerslf that the ride says it all Heck, ya might like it, then we may be buds. LOL! AFA.29373729.
the only thing that happened in this video is the polaris got a better line...and the can am driver is not a very good rider... most atv's are the same..if you have the power and the traction then your goin to get where you need to go...as far a reliability..yes i do want to see polaris win in that catagorey but from expirience it just hasnt happened yet. quit arguing about it and watch some cool video's and get out an ride yourself
hahah its fuunny that of all the vids u comment on saying can am is better they loose ... no offense to ur "amazingly built" piece of french crap but brp is well none in the industry for building junk sleds quads etc. they hav been bankrupt a # of times ... polaris never ... good companies to go bankrupt ... next time u wanna bash polaris do it on a vid of them losing no winning u retard ... can i race my 09 rzr 800 against ur can am utv o wait they dont even make one of those hahah P.O.S.
AH yes, The rzr. Didn't hear nothin good yet. Looks like they are fun, but 2 people i know that have them, aren't happy. 1 broke a cvjoint, the other says it is swervy, and bottoms out to much. BRP is the fastest growing atv company in the industry. Polaris is 10yrs behind Ski-Doo in technology AND Polaris admitted that. SO, do some homework before ya bash. Oh, yeah, maybe ya oughta look at the AMAZINGLY BUILT SPYDER BY CAN-AM! And fyi, spell known, LOL!!! RETARD!
right on buddy, totally agree. those polaris guys are obviously 'retards' as they say. i have 2 outlanders, never a problem with either one. my friends have polaris' machines, both snowmobiles and atvs, and even they say they are crap and want brp products. none of them have had a problem free polaris. and to mr. 08 switchback, brp is the the leader in recreational products, are are not known for building junk! polaris guys, buy a repair manual, god knows you'll need it!
my rzr it running very fine ... they bottom out beacuse they have a longer wheel base .. they have the same clearance as the sportsman ... i dont need to do hw i own polaris so i know what they are like and 10 years behind polaris sleds have the best suspension ... they have stuck witht he same motors for almost a decade now unlike ski doo who completely changes everything every couple of years ... brp had 4 MAJOR recalls on the motors of all the new xp's and u call that 10 yrs ahead suree
I own a Polaris so I am a little bias, but the new 850 has a lot going for it...... So yes I would say Polaris.....Also they have the most aftermarket support with places like highlifter making so many parts for polaris
they dont have the technoligy, ya you can beat the piss out of them and they will still go but they still have 3wd. i just want a rancher 420 cause there cheap and ive seen wut they can go threw
are you freakin kidding me! can-ams go through anything, out pull everyone, and are some of the fastest stock production atvs ever made. if you have ever rode a can-am you would know that they handle like hot rods. in this vid, the can-am lost. im not making any excuses, you cant win them all! any atv can have a bad day. i just dont understand how you can justify your comment littlerye69
I agree with most of your statement, I just think they need to re do their visco-lock front diff, it is too intermitent and often a rider will get stuck or get into worse trouble waiting for it to spin enough to kick in, and sometimes as quickly as it locks up it disconects and goes back to 3 wheel drive....
just a week ago at my hiome town there was a atv drag there was polaris articat kawisaki and cam am the can am lost (no surprise) pulling 20 feet the articat my friends completely stock beat him by 40 feet
the kawi and polaris tied at 200 feet full draw
the can am lost even though it was widen srt8 bar across back and it had hmf pipes and geard for bottom end AND IT STILL LOSt. no surprize
that might be right for some, but i have had several polariss' before and they havent messed up. Again it is in the rider and what the atv is put up to
Have you been asleep the last 3yrs? You must have been. Can Am has won baja the last 3yrs! They have dominated utility all terrain racing, that polaris didn't even COMPETE in! I had a 02 500h.o. Biggest pocket stealin, mechanic friend a person could own. 3,500 miles on it. 3cvjoints, 1 cam, all tierods, and balljoints, 2 starter drives, 3 universals,2 belts, splines in differental are now gone. And so is the quad. My 2007 800 can-am xt. 1850 miles. 1BELT REPLACED AS GENERAL MAINTENACE!
Wow what a lemon, here's a list of my 07 500 efi's problems so far.......none, I've got 2000 miles on it alot of them mudhole miles with 28" outlaws. I do regular maintenance and she hasn't let me down yet. You are very misinformed if you think Polaris is the only manufacturer capable of producing a lemon here or there.
It's misinformed one sided opinions like this that take credibility away from any argument, if you had some experience with CanAm being the worst atv out there then lets hear it, if not then take your rantings somewhere else
Lemon? It was yellow. Misinformed? No. One sided? No. Was at Hatfield Mcoys sept 24th-27 seen 5 break downs. 5 were polaris. I know i will have some bad comments, but i can't help what i see. Polaris rides good, handles good, but i seen so many reliabilty issues, that i WON'T buy another one. I hope for our country that they do something to make them more reliabile. Till then, I am sticking with my can am. And what does a mudbog race prove. GROUND CLEARENCE. WOW! I want handling, ride, RELIABLE.
Not really far the guy could of had a huge spot of soft mud on his side when the other guy had harder mud

Lighter Utility ATV = worse ATV (in reasonable limits ofcourse)
Utility ATV and Sport ATVs are different thing Outlanders.

Polaris always loses? It just won in this video, and actually in every video on Youtube!
Way more power? Both, 70hp. More reliable? just argument, no proof. Better 4WD? Polaris on-demand 4WD, against normal 4WD.
Power steering? You have to pay 11 000$ for Can Am PS, to 10 000$ of 850XP with PS.
30kg lighter, but this is utility ATV so it's disadvantage.
Btw. Polaris towing capacity is 100kg more.
You are just making stuff up! Get your dick out of Can Am exhaust pipe.

You are talking about 2010 models! These are 2009.
And you are not seeing the situation in customer view. Polaris 850 EPS costs 9,999$, when Outlander 800R EFI XT-P costs 13,500$!
Ofcourse gold plated PS3 would be better than original, but it costs way more!
You would really pay 3500$ more because of fanboysim? I'm sure you don't own a quad.
I own Polaris 850XP EPS, and also snowmobile by BRP, both great. Fanboyism is nothing but trouble.

sergemech 2 years ago
You dont know what you're talking about, theres no such thing as 28" mudlite xtrs. By the way, to win this race in this pit, it was all luck. And honestly, what the hell are you talking about "the can-am cant transfer the power to the ground like the polaris does"? Can-ams will rape any polaris ever made in any and all kinds of terrain and/or races of any kind and will also outlast any polaris.
outlander4x4 2 years ago
i'm really sorry that you have wasted your money on a can am but the truth is the thruth! and hosnestly you think winning like the guy did on a 300 or 400 ft long track, was all about luck lol come on think again! lol
you are just pissed at being 2 nd and not first! sorry but nothing I can do & I know what I'm thalking about cause I do mud race, mud run's all the time and damn know what works and what don't!
the order for mud runs:1. polaris & brute, 2.cam am's then yamaha's then honda's

Hahahaha, A polaris 850 on 28" zillas beat a Canned ham on 29.5's mud bogging,HAHAHA!!!
FUCKINBEASTPOLARIS 2 years ago
The CAN AM Outlander is far better than this bulky XP tank. For example, the XP weighs more than 100lbs more than the nimble Outlander. It has to use a 850cc engine@ 70 hp while the Outlander uses a 800cc engine and produces 71hp. In board brakes on the Outlander is far better than than having them at each wheel, less up-sprun weight, & more mass centralization. I could go on for hrs on this kind of stuff.
QuadExpert1 2 years ago
the 850 has 4 wheel discs, a better 4x4 system, just as much power as the Outlander, and a better engine/belt setup.
dant387 2 years ago
lol ur totally wrong, its not all about HP fucktard. u are talking like everything is about HP and cc.. it doesnt matter if can am has more hp the polaris is way better to transfer it to the ground, thats why it can pull alot more and are better in mud. and also the weight helps alot in pulling heavy loads or driving in mud. i got an polaris sportsman 500 09 and if it would be lighter i dont understand how i could get around in the snow with my outburned tires.
sveinungj 1 year ago
im not going to even try i can already see you are very brand loyal and no matter what you will support polaris hey if you believe in something stand by it all i know is i will never stand behind polaris in any of there current models because they just done hold up like my canam does and to be honest sveinungj you sound like a 9yr old kid who owns a little polaris and has had nothing else i hope one day you grow up and change your mind

I have to agree with ostacruiser, experience has a huge impact. For the record i just bought an 09 outlander800R XT last thursday and the dealer let me try the 850XP and the Can Am felt a litter quicker and had better ergonomics. Polaris centainly have made improvements though.
benardgrizzly660 2 years ago
Come on...... I have heard numerous times now about a certain group of people relishing in this video's glory LOL. And my comment was hardly a rant. I viewed this vid the day U posted it until now with no comments so chill. But when I hear 5 times in the last week how an XP crushed at M.M., I had to tell the truth as it is.
NBMXP 2 years ago
Hopefully a few people will show up with some snorked, clutched and tired 850's and then this can all be settled.....lol
ostacruiser 2 years ago
So glad to hear some reliable info on this video. I know i sparked some good comments on previous posts, but i got tired of hearing all the bashing of the can am. As i said before, I want my quad to ride and handle well with good power. And my can am does it all for me. I never rode the new xp, but i had to many breakdowns with my polaris to even THINK of getting another one.
29373729 2 years ago 4
Wow, are you finished your "Rant"? Everyone that was at the event knows that the bike themselves played only minor roles in any of the wins, the rider and luck were the biggest determining factors. Hopefully the 2009 pit will allow the individual bikes to play a more major role in the wins....
ostacruiser 2 years ago
There's nothing to brag about there. The kid here bought the unit the night before and had never even owner an ATV prior to this event. The XP 850 also got it's ass handed to it by a stock 06 OL 800 XT. Stock tires too. Rally, U are more than welcome to come again this year ( Aug 15th/09 ) and loose again LOL. We will not post videos of all of the Can-Am winning either cause they always win LOL.
NBMXP 2 years ago
If that is the case and the can am videos are as accurate as they say then tires and rider should not matter, the can am should win no matter what because its supposedly the best, but its not and that's why this guy lost, you don't think there were amateurs on cats and popo!?
klide263 2 years ago
the can-am is better but he can't hit the hole in high range!!!! polaris is to popular sure they run good but no power! an outlander is way more powerful! AC is the best any way but still!!!!

293729 ... polaris dominates the snocross circuit has the longest line of quads sooo once again dont give me any of ur homework bullshit i have owned and riden the shit outta polaris all my life .. not problems ... hit a tree at 120 on my old 2003 edge chasis 600 and she still ran after ... do that on ur xtra light xp .. and i dont care if i spelt a word wrong, 100 grand a year to wire houses doesnt really require me to spell every word on the internet correctly but neways rzr awaits mud pce
2008polarisswitchbac 3 years ago
Seems i struck a nerve! Well, if ya hit a tree at 120, guess yer lucky to be alive (did ya have any head trauma). I can't say i dislike polaris snowmobiles, but i wouldn't say they dominate snowcross. I can't even say that ALL their quads are junk.Mine was! If you have had good luck with yours, thats great, but i can't ever buy another 1. But if you make 100gs a year, buy a 800r can am xt and see foreyerslf that the ride says it all Heck, ya might like it, then we may be buds. LOL! AFA.29373729.
29373729 3 years ago
the only thing that happened in this video is the polaris got a better line...and the can am driver is not a very good rider... most atv's are the same..if you have the power and the traction then your goin to get where you need to go...as far a reliability..yes i do want to see polaris win in that catagorey but from expirience it just hasnt happened yet. quit arguing about it and watch some cool video's and get out an ride yourself
rhanley33 3 years ago
hahah its fuunny that of all the vids u comment on saying can am is better they loose ... no offense to ur "amazingly built" piece of french crap but brp is well none in the industry for building junk sleds quads etc. they hav been bankrupt a # of times ... polaris never ... good companies to go bankrupt ... next time u wanna bash polaris do it on a vid of them losing no winning u retard ... can i race my 09 rzr 800 against ur can am utv o wait they dont even make one of those hahah P.O.S.
2008polarisswitchbac 3 years ago
RETARD!
29373729 3 years ago
right on buddy, totally agree. those polaris guys are obviously 'retards' as they say. i have 2 outlanders, never a problem with either one. my friends have polaris' machines, both snowmobiles and atvs, and even they say they are crap and want brp products. none of them have had a problem free polaris. and to mr. 08 switchback, brp is the the leader in recreational products, are are not known for building junk! polaris guys, buy a repair manual, god knows you'll need it!
2008outlander 3 years ago
my sportsman 500 has been in the shop since i got it. Every time i get it bake something else brakes.
bwelsh321 3 years ago
my rzr it running very fine ... they bottom out beacuse they have a longer wheel base .. they have the same clearance as the sportsman ... i dont need to do hw i own polaris so i know what they are like and 10 years behind polaris sleds have the best suspension ... they have stuck witht he same motors for almost a decade now unlike ski doo who completely changes everything every couple of years ... brp had 4 MAJOR recalls on the motors of all the new xp's and u call that 10 yrs ahead suree
2008polarisswitchbac 3 years ago
so do outlander's actually suck?
bwelsh321 3 years ago
No they are decent atv's, except their auto front locker is terrible, they spend way to much time 3 wheeling it around....

are you freakin kidding me! can-ams go through anything, out pull everyone, and are some of the fastest stock production atvs ever made. if you have ever rode a can-am you would know that they handle like hot rods. in this vid, the can-am lost. im not making any excuses, you cant win them all! any atv can have a bad day. i just dont understand how you can justify your comment littlerye69
2008outlander 3 years ago
I agree with most of your statement, I just think they need to re do their visco-lock front diff, it is too intermitent and often a rider will get stuck or get into worse trouble waiting for it to spin enough to kick in, and sometimes as quickly as it locks up it disconects and goes back to 3 wheel drive....
ostacruiser 3 years ago
just a week ago at my hiome town there was a atv drag there was polaris articat kawisaki and cam am the can am lost (no surprise) pulling 20 feet the articat my friends completely stock beat him by 40 feet
the kawi and polaris tied at 200 feet full draw
the can am lost even though it was widen srt8 bar across back and it had hmf pipes and geard for bottom end AND IT STILL LOSt. no surprize

You are very misinformed if you think Polaris is the only manufacturer capable of producing a lemon here or there.
ostacruiser 3 years ago
It's misinformed one sided opinions like this that take credibility away from any argument, if you had some experience with CanAm being the worst atv out there then lets hear it, if not then take your rantings somewhere else
ostacruiser 3 years ago
