you are a sick player, im a newbie at making licks and riffs like that, how do you improvise your licks so well?

I'm having hard time answering this one, I don't actually practice licks much, most of the time I spend ALOT of time listening (sometimes I can just listen to one song over and over again for 3 days straight) and putting the groove in myself. I know that might not be the answer you looking for, but for me most of the time it's just the idea. What you play is based from what you've heard.. So.
