Chill everyone! The car is pretty tail happy, he passed to people because he's a more aggressive driver, which is good in a way, he hit a rut in the kerb at high speeds on a corner, wasn't expecting it so spun out. That is it, it's racing, it happens all the time, you don't get very far by being a slow, boring driver, look at Ayrton Senna and Sebastian Vettel

@DGelink hes driving that car for all its wourth. wouldnt say he is for sure not throwing the car around. Its called wheel spin. Thats to do with his right foot not his hands. Maybe not the smoothest but smooth isnt always fast. sometimes u have to throw that car around to get wat its fully capable of doing. Probably was faster then his sister car cause this guy can freaken drive. Just got a little to curb happy and wasnt able to recover fast enough. little faster hands and he would of had it.

@mahiru20ten Yeah thats an insane amount of oversteer. Needed more rear wing it seemed to e only at high speed it would overteer. That lack of downforce cost him the race.

I don't want to say he was driving a bit recklessly, but he was definitely pushing the limits of the car in the corners and I think that's what caused the accident. Pushing limits is what wins races though.

sounds like he lifted early so he gassed it for a bit and then lifted once more all in that last corner which upset the car. Better to just eat the mistake, wait and attack the next corner instead of correcting.

That look horrible... It all happened really fast. There's nearly nothing much he can do in that seconds.If the car wanted to go, it will go regardless of whatever you do to keep the car back on track. I think the rear is about to go away + he attacked the kerb like he has a fresh tyres on. It was very unfortunate but he, and the team had a good race!

If you look carefully at the driver's right foot, you'll see that he started braking right after the first phase of the skidding, but he shouldn't do it.

@Stilzel Rubbish, once you have lost control, it's 2 feet IN and and slow slow slow as much as you can before impact to reduce your impact speed. Once you race you will learn that... after your 1st Hi Speed impact.

@ufm Agreed with the crash coming a mile away. Where I differ is that it is JUST practice. He should have come after the first lap in the video, where the rear end of the car is all over the place, and made an adjustment. 1) he'd be faster, 2) he wouldn't have crashed the car.

that was probablylost of traction from the tires on the rear due to ware or error in the counter steering maneuver that the driver failed to do in time. the car probably went a bit airborne coming off that bump on the side @ 2:27

@DZoneTV FMR = front-mid engine, rear-wheel drive. the Z4 has a long nose with plenty of room to fit the BMW straight-6 engines (and apparently the V8 from the E92 M3) behind the front axles

That is the name of the racing class. They have up to 4 of them GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4. GT4 being the less sportier version of the rest.
