The Challenger was a concept car before the new "retro" Mustang was introduced and WAY before the Camaro was designed. Ford got their car out first, I'll give them that, but as far as copying the Camaro...it looks like it's the other way around. Mopar..or no car!!
I'm a Ford enthusiast through and through, but I will give props to Dodge for making a bold statement with their new Challenger. However, with that said, it doesn't defeat the fact that FORD introduced the retro-inspired stylization of this generations muscle cars. They were the first to say, "Okay, let's do it oldschool, but new school."
This car will be on my purchase list over the next five years, regardless. It just looks sweet.
its about time they got the picture about the 2 door coups, i mean 4 door muscle cars dont work, it sucks they did the charger like that. they need to re-design it and bring it back as a 2 door like it should be

I love the old muscle cars, they have a lot of character, a lot. I'm really happy that dodge and GM are making the new Camaro and the New Chalanger, just wish they didn't turn the Charger into a sedan, but another bad ass huge Coupe. I hope these two car are great and have nice quality, thats what will tip the opinions, Some American cars have a lot of value (z06, srt8 anything).
that said, I have owned one Amrican car, and it was the crapiest thing I owned. broke all day long and feel apart quickly.
I'll stick with Audi and BMW and Honda until proven wrong. I'm almost scared to but about American cars these days... Hopefully these new ERA muscle cars have more quality in them than the New Mustang and it's crappy rear live axel.
No way, the new Camaro is a joke. Saw both of them at the Javets center last summer, the Challenger will bury the Camaro. And this is coming from a die hard Firebird fan. 2 best muscle cars, the Challenger and the Firebird baby.
If GM had ANY brains, the F'bird would be coming back as well.

As for Mopar, they always had nice looking cars from the 60's and 70's. I was a kid when these hot cars were all over the place. The Camaro looks like a toy, the Challenger has the looks and the brawn. And will smoke the Camaro on the streets, for sure. Even the Mustang looks WAY better then the Camaro. Camaro = Vette wanna be.
well I have been a camaro diehard fan my whole life and I got to say the new camaro should do like the challenger and the mustang and make it look more like its predeccesor cause honestly it doesn't look like an old camaro.
With the camaro they should just make a zl1 version with a nice 572 giving out 720hp that would someke any other car. Then they should make the z28 version with a small block zz383 with 425hp
This may be an old post but man, what are you smoking? The Corvette GMs flagship car has only 505HP theres no way they will make their low end sports car faster then their flagship.
