They have two records and they're excellent. The members are actually from various rock bands so it's great hear them create such different, pretty music.
*I have only recently discovered Story Corps & have fallen in love with a most simple yet so powerful concept idea being "listening,"yet so complicated for this is something so many don't take the time,or at times it seems,do not know how to do.It's so nice to listen to conversation for me also.

Thanks for a great time Story Corps!
@AirForcedude5 Well, you can make it yourself and keep it. The sound quality might be different and among some other factors. They will of course only take what they actually made to call it their own. I think that's fair. It's to keep their standards too. Imagine if everyone sent in theirs, then it wouldn't be THE storycorps anymore, but just "recording interviews".
@AirForcedude5 i dont think so there just telling people how to make recordings of memorys or storys you would like to keep or pass down to your family alot of people do that actualy well not really but its good to know some peopel do atleast it makes sense they would only post or accept recordings they recorded because its like going to movie theater and saying hay play this movie i mean honestly id rather keep my recording but id think id rather go there for a recording just for quality sounds
The group is called Pullman. They have two records and they're excellent. The members are actually from various rock bands so it's great hear them create such different, pretty music.
The main song Story Corps uses is called "To Hold Down a Shadow" is on the Turnstyles and Junkpiles record.

@simsguildwars "what if you are older relatives speak a different language?" That makes no sense. In conjunction to National Day of Listening, there should be "National Day of Writing" or "National Day of English Usage" to raise awareness of how illiterate our society has become.
Excuse you sir I am an A.P English language and composition I have been in honors and A.P English for three years. I have been a great student for all those years and my relatives speak a different language that I can not speak. In short, fuck off.
@simsguildwars 7) "That I can not [sic] speak" is unnecessary.
8) Watch your language.
I can't believe you are taking a non-remedial English class, let alone AP. Since you can't master simple spelling and punctuation, I doubt you'll score above a 1 on the AP exam. If you want me to believe you are an AP student, you have to type like one. Also, no need for the rude language. You could have just said, "Sorry, I speak a different language at home". Not caring shows your ignorance.

for any interested in the recording software, i would recommend wavosaur over audacity.
audacity is the stronger tool, but its finicky and has compatibility problems.

i find it stupid that they only accept recordings that they recorded.
AirForcedude5 1 year ago 33
@AirForcedude5 Well or else the quality wouldn't be as good. Its not like they pick the people they like.

what if you're older realtives speak a diffrenent langague?
simsguildwars 1 year ago 30
@simsguildwars learn there language then retard
TheMichael408 1 year ago
@TheMichael408
I think through his retardation, he meant what if the people of the future speak a language that is not currently known in the world.
You know, because languages progress and change? Like history has shown?
BobbyRice2 1 year ago
@BobbyRice2 oh yea but im sure people will work to keep there language alive,or be better to preserve it,mabe theyll have learning preserve stuff
TheMichael408 1 year ago
@TheMichael408 1) No need for name-calling
2) Proper capitalization and punctuation helps
3) Proper usage helps, too. Instead of recording your interview, write it down and practice writing in English, hm?

@simsguildwars You are an A.P. English language and composition? What?
cloudbroken 4 months ago in playlist More videos from storycorps
@simsguildwars *facepalm*
1) I don't give a damn what kind of a student you are. You need to at least show that you can use usage properly.
2) It's excuse me, sir, not excuse you, sir.
3) For the first sentence, an should be in. Alternatively, leave "an" and add the worst student after composition
4( Capitalize Language and Composition. It is the formal name of a class.
5) You need a period after composition.
6) You need a comma after years.
To be continued.
