  • Omg I hate all that glass half full bullshit nearly as much as that positive mental attitude stuff. Any old failed salesman can come out with that to make themselves sound good. Want a proper input of good brain medicine? Google Jim Rohn.

I'm in Plymouth, England working as part of a good successful network ) and we swear by this guy. Don't let the crap out there put you off entrepreneurism and self improvement. All the best.

  • u sound like a dumb fucking ass

  • Hey fellow Torontonian!

This is hilarious. LoL! Happened to me a couple times. Once it was an MLM pyramind scheme, and they wanted everyone to sell groceries and make 10% on it.. LoL!

  • the reason i put it seperately is because you cannot post a website on this comment thing i dnt know why but its .com

  • THANK YOU ! I just went for the first day (Interview) today and I found the whole thing fishy from the start. They were quoting astronomical salaries and some more bullshit and then the whole thing happened exactly like you said.. They told me to call them back at a certain time.. I'm sooo not calling them back ! F**k its pissing off those B*****

But thanks a lot for your video (I just came back an hour ago and just decided to google and there pops up your video.. read up more on it..)

  • I had a similar experience like your friend who went to the second interview, except at a company called "Vector Marketing." Everyone in their office assured me the job was not door to door sales, but it turned out to be exactly what I thought it was. In the end I got to see these two dorks go door to door telling lies to people, and at the very end they faked making a sale while I waited for the guy's partner to show up to try and convince me to take a job.

  • OMG I applied there too at Yorkdale Mall! I think they changed their name to Just Energy. I quit after I got trained. :)

  • Our present economy is based of deception , changing it would be hard.

  • I know someone who works AGAINST the energy scam companies. If you have problems with them he can help you. He is based out of Guelph and is working to help victims in Ontario.

    See his YouTube video: watch?v=Enjpsc7N080

  • wow, thank god u did your reasearch for this terrible place, I had a very simular experience but with Vector Marketing but instead of selling hydro and electricity I would have had to sell kitchen knives, thanks for the video :)

  • Those Universal Energy corp. jackasses scammed my parents a few years ago locking them 2 out of 5 years of the contract. Thankfully it was JUST two years.

They claim that the provincial government is going to increase prices to 30 cents / kWh with the BS news clippings. Unfortunately my parents fell for them and they were charging 18 cents / kWh while the local utility charges 4.2 cents.

Took them at least 15 months to get them out of that contract!

  • EXACTLY the same thing happened today in my "interview". Word for word. I can't believe this bastards are around and nobody authority coughing them away. Like they've got handcuffs to dig out "pot" dealers, but they can't cuff these guys? Just outrageous..... Also Toronto star did an article on them. Just type on Yahoo search, "Universal Energy", or "universal energy scam" and you'll see it.

And PLEASE NOTE: They are changing their name to "Just Energy".

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

Word for word, this is exactly what happened when I applied for a job at "Commerce Energy" (Beachwood, Ohio - USA)

The room full of 50 people, the insanely energetic interview guy, etc.

I worked there for 3 days: WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! The job is torture....they take you to different cities and you're doing door-to-door sales for 12 hours....literally. And on top of that, you are scamming people.

  • wow, i'm really sorry to hear that... I'm so glad i left when i did.

  • @MIMIC8801

Commerce Energy was brought out by Universal Energy and now in 2009. Universal was brought by Just Energy. So, all three companies are now one big door-to-door gas and electricity selling scam.

  • I just had Universal Energy staff come to my apt. in Ottawa. They told me they were with Ottawa Hydro and said there was a problem with my bill and that I should have gotten a 50 dollar rebate check. The lady said she would give me a form to sign. I said okay. She fills out the form, takes my bill and gives it to me to sign. I signed. After I looked at it, it was a Universal Energy contract stating I would buy power for 5 yrs.

What you noticed at 7:20 shows the same tactic in hiring

  • OMG!! thats horrible!

  • HAHAHA I just had an interview with them just like that today!!!! I went into Yorkdale Mall and went through the guy talking for soooooooo long... and I thought it was for office work. Then he did the interview infront of everyone...and told me to call during a time. I called and they said I didn't get it hahahahah! I was turned down by a scamming company...its cause when I applied I said I was looking for office work, or perhaps its because I am really cheerful and innocent cant be corrupt

  • @fringescience101 or maybe your just an idiot

  • man your day sucked....while i'm still looking for a job i haven't been able to get to teh level of call for an interview yet. so i guess your a little closer than me to gettin a job haha.

  • ugh, I had one of them come to my door...he practically forced me to sign the application for their services, so I called the company and put in a complaint about the guy and told them that I didn't want their services...and I checked the BBB and they have a bad rap!
