I cant front. I went to FAMU (fall 2004), but Im effin with this arrangement...been effin with it since HS . Saw it first at SU vs UAPB. Had the white boi on tuba back then that was doin splits n shit lmao.... Anyway, the ending goes hella hard. Nice.....for a change. The tonal quality isnt to bad either. This was one of SU's better seasons I see.

ummmmm i marched in the band dude.....so what i was saying was you were naming all of the songs that Nate wrote that were rap tunes. there is no argument that Knighten is a beast,since Ive actually played his music..I was saying that Haymer does actually have some real songs, not just rap tunes. Lindsay's doesn't required his players to play with any emotion. Just a bunch of beautiful chords. You can FEEL Knighten's music...

And how could I forget about Paul Adams. Both Knighten and Adams can also produce some great uptempo tunes, not just ballads.

You are a partially correct. Sarj IS gorgeous ballads. He has absolutely no peer in that area. Great ballads REQUIRE emotion, so the evidence has already spoken for itself. Sarj has plenty of uptempo tunes that are layed by FAMU and other college bands (MAC, PAC 10, Big 10 that I know about) all over the country. That is what sets him above the rest.

Knighten, Adams, Haymer are all excellent and Magruder is showing promise, but Lindsay Sarjent is a cut above.
