  • Cenk is AGAIN right on the money,- Thanx Cenk-for putting it SIMPEL and Straight!

  • repeal Obamacare

  • no cenk you motherfucking liberal,if not for heros like Johnny Mac you wouldnt have a country to sit in and spew your liberal horseshit. fuck you u communist

  • @TheHAMMER77777 Who isn't a communist in your mind besides far-right conservatives?

  • @Mabuza14 communists are left wing liberals not us far right conservatives

  • @TheHAMMER77777 No who ISN'T a communist to you. I am a communist, I openly admit that, but I'm not a liberal. Cenk is a liberal, he's not a communist, this is coming from a communist. Conservatives have the nerve now to call everything not conservative communist. So what isn't communist if it's not conservative? That's the question.

  • @Mabuza14 communists are criminals who should be in jail......this Cenk character is a communist. What isnt a communist (besides conservatives)? good question. Presidents Kennedy and Clinton were and are not communists. people like John McCain (far from conservative) aren't communists. Regular moderates are not communists. My ex-governor John Corzine; not a communist. Most people from both parties are not communists. But people who want this government run shit are that

  • @TheHAMMER77777 How is Cenk communist, he openly says how much he loves capitalism and how he thinks it's awesome all the time. He disses communism on his show all the time. John McCain is a conservative and Clinton wanted this healthcare reform, which according to you makes him communist. When polled the majority of Americans wanted a government option called the "public option". Are most Americans now communist? Do you even know what communism is retard?

  • @Mabuza14 HE SAYS he Loves Capitalism but he doesn't prove it. Anyone wanting this public nonsense is for me a communist. John McCain is not a conservative. Maybe a mild one. i dont think Bill Clinton wanted this public option horseshit and if he did he was just listening to his wife. Most Americans actually want to repeal Obamacare (even though it doesnt even have that dreaded public crap). you are a fucking cocksucking retart asshole

  • The only issue I have with Canadian healthcare is the lack of doctors, during nights there was 1 on staff doctor for the entire ER with 3 on call in case of trauma. Why can't the Canadian government give bonuses to doctors who treat patients quickly, while keeping quality? Maybe that would get the doctors we need, since the baby boomers (majority of doctors) are retiring.

  • @mit871chell repeal Obamacare.....we dont want socialism

  • All the leading opposition ever does is oppose anything that the ruling party does even if internally they agree with it just to have their face in the news. It's terrible politics and I won't stand for it!

  • Term limits.

We need to get rid of these old goats. Get them the fuck out!

  • John McCain needs to die already.

  • Get the muther fuckin sith out the muther fucking senate!

  • During the Bi-partisan Healthcare Summit, Mc Nasty started rambling about 'Calif. stealing Ariz. ? water'.

Getting a talking point in for his re-run for Senate - but nothing to do with the matter/s of the summit.

But the economy is still fundamentally well in all 9 of the Mc Cain's houses.

  • Sad to see what McCain has become. In 2000 had he been the Republican nominee I would have voted for him. He did used to cross party lines to reach compromise. He did actually vote with Democrats when it made sense. Now he's turned into this new "conservative" that is against anything Democrats support and somehow for Medicare even though that is about as socialized as healthcare gets in America. What is the Republican platform now?

  • Hmmm, I wonder what Cenks stance is on corprate sellout politcians. I don't think he's brought up that topic enough in the past week...

Cenk, I love you man but give it a rest...

  • That stupid old man is pathetic, and a kuffar.

  • These guys on capital hill do remember 2 things.

    A. They work for US!

    B. We pay their goddamn paychecks.

  • Dems. have always taken the moral high ground ...

and represented the majority, as now.

Dems. - clean air, water, safe food, and medicine, fair wages, equal pay, safe work places, Social Security, Medicare, etc. and fought by most Republican, Libertarians and corporate/family Elitists - as they destroyed labor, exported jobs, deregulated the crooks, ignored and helped monopolies, tax cut for the top, logarithmically increased the debt - and their PROFITS.

  • how come there are so many geezers in the senate? they should retire and let new people take over

  • people talk about how Canada's healthcare is horrible.. yet those in canada who want reform in their healthcare is consistently in the single digit percentiles... Fox just smears info and is a disgrace to the USA

  • who's "we"?

    are you french?

have a mouse in your pocket?

  • there is a push to go to a 2 tear system in Canada every so often, but that is only the influence of health insurance companies looking to cash in on Canadians when they are most vulnerable, its pretty despicable then again most corporate shenanigans are

  • @skinnydiprog3r no thats not true..fox rules! repeal Obamacare

  • @TheHAMMER77777 Fox has smeared many issues towards the conservative position over and over.. And Im not for Obamacare, but it is better than nothing. The USA healthcare is still fucked without a single payer option..

  • @skinnydiprog3r you are an idiot..i like fox..they dont skew anything. we dont need single payer or Obamacare. everything should be market based only. i dont want to give anyone anything,

  • @TheHAMMER77777 check out LiberViewer's playlist on Fox News Biases.. He has 144 separate times when Fox News is biased (that is only a few of the thousands of times). Here is a link starting with the first video - /watch?v=1SiVasR2Gzo&playnext=1&list=PLA3BD2524FE99BD4D

    Hope you enjoy them!!

  • @skinnydiprog3r what nonsense..i dont believe that liberviewer nonsense or that outfoxed garbage...most of the rest of the media is biased liberal ..and they arent......so comparitively it may seem that way but isnt...theyre ratings beat msnbc and cnn combined, and i dont think Pres Obama would have gone on if they were biased.

  • @TheHAMMER77777 Dont believe in the liberal viewer nonsense?? he is just providing videos of FOX news when they are biased.. and dont get me wrong.. i hate all mainstream new organizations, but I'm just saying thinking FOX news is fair is far far from the truth.. Even leaked documents show them telling their anchors to say key words which favor the conservative side. and Pres Obama is just as corrupt as fox news..

  • @skinnydiprog3r he doesnt prove anything. Fox is the truth..all that guy Said was not correct. i dont believe those "leaked" documents. President Obama Said he respects fox news..thats the only channel i watch

  • @TheHAMMER77777 LiberalViewer just points out times which FOX news is favoring one side..

Fox news hosts were telling the public that they could go to jail if they didn't get healthcare from the bill Obama was trying to pass. Yet the bill NEVER had anything which would cause anyone to go to jail for not having healthcare. That is just one blatant lie by fox news..

The only time I had respect for Fox news was when Geraldo Rivera said he supports a new investigation into 9/11.

  • @skinnydiprog3r in an original form of this bill u could go to jail....Fox is the no 1 watched cable news for a reason. and this healthcare monstrocity should be repealed

  • @TheHAMMER77777 Could you please show me where it said you could go to jail in any of the proposed bills?? People have researched and they say they didnt find it anywhere, but maybe you have a different bill..

and the healthcare bill passed was dumb, but going to the old system is worse.. We need to look at the rest of the world and do what they do

  • @skinnydiprog3r NO WE NEED OUR OLD MARKET BASED SYSTEM NOT ANY KIND OF GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT WHATSOEVER......AND THERE IS A TAX IF YOU DON'T GET HEALTHCARE..AND WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T PAY TAX? YOU CAN GO TO JAIL RIGHT? ASK WESLEY SNIPES.

  • @skinnydiprog3r GO HERE reason.com/blog/2009/11/10/buy-health-insurance-or-go-to

  • @tehant1liberal its funny that they would get one of their own to push this commie care! but took forever with rengal

  • tehant1liberal - Cut the fucking bullshit. The American people are overwelmingly against the healthcare reforms being proposed? Oh OK, I suppose that's why they elected a Democratic president, Democratic majority House and Democratic majority Senate. Don't try excusing Republican hypocrisy. Seriously, you need to stop letting Megyn Kelly from Fox News do your thinking for you. The rest of your post isn't even worth responding to.

  • MrHr1207 - I have absolutely no fucking idea what you are babbling on about. Learn to speak coherent English, then get back to me, or better still, don't.

  • MrHr1207 - Don't use the word "commie", because you're clearly so fucking retarded, you couldn't define communism if your fucking life depended on it. Now piss off, stop trying to opine on politics and go watch Speed Racer.

  • @DarthCipient ok retard. derr i forgot i could look it derr up!

  • MrHr1207 - You should stop using the Internet. For the sake of the English language.

  • @tehant1liberal they would eat their young to pass this!

  • We overwhelmingly hate the health care "reform" being proposed, the bill watered down to mean absolutely nothing at all, that's why people hate it nobody on the left or right has much of a reason to support it. So cut the crap about government run healthcare that's not what people are against every poll showed people supported the public option. It's the bs bill right now that people hate which is not government run healthcare at all.

  • @Mabuza14 thats over 2000 pages of nothing

  • 72 % want to impose an employer mandate

63 % favor some form of public health care reform

63%, want president Obama to keep trying to pass a reform

56%, want everyone to be covered

    ABC/Post poll+February 23, 2010

OMB [Office of Management and Budget] :

Plus the most important motivation 2 2.2 T$ savings in the next 10 years

The wrong-wingers are scaring, lying and deceiving out their asses ! Got away with it with Bush, for 8 years - and just can't give it up.

  • Plus the most important motivation 2 - 2.2 T$ savings in the next 10 years

  • B.S.

  • Wow 44% say they don't want everyone to be covered? I mean who the fuck doesn't want that?

  • @Mabuza14 44% of people dont want to hand out free medicare u fucking idiot. it's not a dream world where the question is should everyone get good medical care it's should our damaged economy hand out money to anyone regardless of their inability to pay

  • @Lordteren3 You should've told that to bush when he was handing out free money to the rich, Bank of America, and Citibank. You may have had a little credibility. Now you just sound ridiculous, or atleast you did three months ago. Conservative drone "constitutionalist" stupidity is timeless.

  • @Mabuza14 repeal Obamacare

  • @TheHAMMER77777 Very educated response.

  • Good (really) Old McCain

  • Anyone have coffee? I have more!!!!

O wait, forgot to comment, is anyone suprised? I'm not.

  • Those old fucks just want to bogard medicare. They don't want to give the rest of us shit. But don't want to cut medicare either.

  • First you call progressives the liars, then in the next breath blame the LIBERALS for all the borrowing from China. You have GOT to be kidding me. Talk about dishonesty...

  • Yea I love how they think that cutting taxes for the richest people on the freaking planet is a way to get OUT of our national debt crisis.

Republican: Alright, the rich no longer have to pay taxes and they aren't taxed on inheritence...so how's our debt?

R2: It went up by 5 trillion.

    R1: How?

R2: We only got $50,000 from taxes....

R1: If we pray to saint Reagan he'll make China think that $50,000 is 50 trillion dollars!

R2: You're mistaking Reagan for the accountaints at AIG.

  • Yea they just hide most of their crap in the Cayman Islands or Switzerland.

The rich taking full advantage of tax shelters and loopholes designed for millionaires and billionaires is a foreign concept to you?

  • None of the rich people should be allowed to.

    That's my entire point.

They all take advantage of tax shelters, only pay a fraction of the tax they're supposed to pay, then bitch about how they're being taxed to death when the money's hidden overseas.

  • @dffykvn so you think its fair to tax the rich at a higher rate than all others? if so you are a communist!

  • @ MrHr1207 ROTFL! You don't know what communism is either! ROTFL!

  • @LDV089 keep rolling, roll your way to china

  • ROTFL! To China? ROTFL! Let me tell you something. Do you know who believed in progressive taxation? Thomas Jefferson. Public Ed? Thomas Jefferson. Govt protection of the middle class? Thomas Jefferson. You don't belong in a grown up conversation. You seriously need to go read some books.

  • you fuckin dummie

America didn't have income taxes, progressive or other, until the early 1900s

to suggest that the founding fathers were big spenders and heavy taxers is just plain stupid

BTW, many founding fathers owned slaves too

  • @genie0390

"Another means of silently lessening the inequality of property is

to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the

higher portions of property in geometrical progression as they

rise." --Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, 1785. BTW, Thomas Jefferson was accused of being a "big spender" and "heavy taxer" at the time. The problem is that only dummy around here is you. Learn some history first before commenting on the subject, loser. ROTFL!

  • Wha? Your still here on the computer? You need to go read some books. I already told you I'm a liberal. I think Thomas Jefferson was brilliant. I think Thomas Paine, James Madison, Locke, Kant, Rouseau were brilliant. C'mon now. You have no idea what you are talking about. Too much Glenn Beck for you! LOL! Seriously though, go read some books.

  • @LDV089 a liberal? really? what does liberal mean now that the progressives ruined the definiton? it used to mean someone who believed in liberty , our freedoms, indivual liberties! now it nany state crandle to grave which means loss of liberties!

  • @MrHr1207. Yes, I'm a liberal. It still means the same thing it always has. You don't even know what you are talking about. May I suggest you read some Thomas Jefferson. He wrote alot of letters, you know.

  • Alright moron, you idiots spout this claim like you actually know what your saying.

The top 5% pay upwards of 70% of the income tax in American, Which means of course they earned the Vast majority of the Income in America.

How the Phuck is this something to be proud of? Don't forget they pay less as a % of their income then you do.

You people have been had, and from now on I'm just going to assume you like taking it up the a-$-$. You keep getting rammed, an ask for more

  • Actually the top 5% only pay around 70% of income taxes. NOMINALLY. However, taking this fact in isolation ignores many other important things. Though the top 5% pay around 70% of income taxes nominally the top 5% also earned around 80% of the nation's income over the past 30 years.

Also most rich people pay few taxes because of all their deductibles. The majority of rich people's money actually comes from CAPITAL GAINS and they pay next to no taxes on that.

  • Should -EVEN- pay more because 'they benefit more from', police, fire, schools, court, infrastructure, etc !

As has been done since WW I; especially during War. Until Reagan reversed it.

Bush gave them a tax cut, while planning the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Bush gave them the budget surplus left by the Clinton admin. [2001] - Gore ran on 'keeping it to repay what has been stolen from S.S. and Medicare - 'lock-box' .... 4-5 T$ have been looted. To give the appearance of balancing the budgets.

  • Reaganomics - tickled down, - failed - doubled the debt - not at War.

    Reagan

    Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981, Pub.L. 97-35 (1981)

Bush II - promoted as Jobs programs

Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 (EGTRRA), Pub.L. 107-16 (2001)

Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003, Pub.L. 108-27 (2003)

    Net loss of jobs ...

    All through 'reconciliation'

  • @hackit12 tax cuts brought in more revenue, the problem was spending! get it straight commie

  • What happened to our rant earlier MrH? or is this a weekly thing? Stop wasting your life, for jebus!

  • @fuckoffwithaname jebus= simpmsons or israel jebus

  • Reagan was a failure business over labor Greenspan admits it now Deregulated and trusting the stock market? Promoted GATT, WTO, NAFTA treaties that exported jobs DOUBLED THE NATIONAL DEB Reduced taxes on the top = Wealth-Fare No Republican have regulated monopolies since Taft and Teddy Roosevelt - were [not good for competition or consumers'] Reagan vetoing the Fairness Doctrine = wrong-wing propaganda - Federalist/Corporatist, Sup. Crt. legalizing bribery in Congress and elections = fascism
  • @hackit12 most of that is lies, except the supreme court. fairness doctrine is bull. let the market decide!nafta started with clinton, don't you remember ross peret and the sucking sound comment! get your facts straight!

  • Yea, those unfunded wars that Bush started were great for the economy, it's a relief that he found Saddams nukes.

You're right theres nothing wrong with our health insurance system.

Those evil entitlements ran surpluses that the republicans always dip into when they money to build more high tech planes that we can never use in a war.

A single payer plan would be so much better than this corporatist bullshit plan.

I'm in NY and heard about a guy that got a form of cancer that's...

  • expensive to treat, the corp could drop just HIS plan, so they cancelled the plan dropping everyone off of the plan just so they don't have to pay those pesky claims.

With a single payer plan those abuses wouldn't happen.

    You're afraid of death panels?

So am I, that's why I think that the businessmen who get inbetween people and their doctors have to go.

  • They couldn't drop that one guy using the pre existing condition excuse, so they tried to cancel his plan but cancelling his plan for that sickness wouldn't have been legal, so they dropped the entire policy for everyone who carried the policy that covered him.

The health insurance company method of cutting cost is taking people off of the rolls, raising their prices which prices people out of the market and let's them drown in debt or die.

The system as it is is cruel and inhumane.

  • @dffykvn then make it easy to sue ins co. for such acts/ fast track law suits

  • I'd prefer a single payer system to a system where the insurance company can cancel you when you don't generate enough profit for their board or hike your rate 20-30% so they can get a bigger bonus.

  • Republicans touch.

Republicans cripple legislation taking teeth out of regulation making the regulators powerless. When there's an abuse it becomes the democrats fault because the democrats chose to compromise with morally compromised republicans.

  • @dffykvn its all a game, both side are basically the same/and both are pushing us in the wrong direction/like your healthcare ideas

  • Well this must be a sign of the apocalypse.

I honestly agree with you. Both sides ARE fucking us.

We both believe Obama is dirt. You believe he's dirt because he's a lib, I believe he's dirt for making a corporatist bill with a mandate and no public plan.

Obama and sellout dems are scum because they pretend to have their arms twisted by republicans who are negotiating on behalf of the industry and non libs are happy to acquiesce.

Thats why we need a lib bill not corporate welfare.

  • @dffykvn then they should use whats there already. the va or medicare

  • I'm pretty sure that was Wiener's idea.

I think Wiener's proposal was lower the age to qualify to 55...maybe 60 and let people buy into medicare.

  • I agree.

Even though I vehemently disagree with a lot of what you say, you're actually honest about what you believe...I can respect that.

70% of the Democratic party members have hypocrisy and scandals that can be found out after long drawn out investigations.

90% of Republican seatholders are hypocrites that can be exposed by what they say today vs what they said a month ago vs what they said 2 months ago etc. and will never be prosecuted for any crime, war crime or fraud.

  • I know of one Dem(actually progressive/commie pinko) that can easily be exposed by what he says today!!

that person being Obama, who very strongly defended the Senate filibuster rule when the GOP were in control, saying that it was a pillar of democracy preventing tyranny by the majority, providing time for sober 2nd look at Bills. He was totally correct

    today, however, he favors reconciliation

what a lying, twisting pointy ass little prick he is!

surely you agree with me, right??

  • genie0390 -' who very strongly defended the Senate filibuster'

Defended it against the 'nuclear' option - when Republicans were trying to 'chande the term-rules in the middle of a Congressional term'.

genie0390 -- 'what a lying, twisting pointy ass little prick'..!

  • As for the card game it's more like

    Me / Honest Libs

/ Corporate Dems/ Corrupt Influence Peddlers / Give every contract to my business under the table republicans /

    Republicans with conservative principles/ You

If the country jettisoned those middle groups, then it probably would be a better place.

Neither of us like our money being wasted on handouts to friends of senators businesses, letting them rewrite laws so what they or their friends did is retroactively legal etc.

  • Reagan and Bush II's - (3) reconciliations have driven the debt from 2 T$ to 12 T$ since 1981. Stole 4-5 T$ - from S.S./Med. - using the, then surplus for 'balancing budgets' - now GIVE it back.

And tax the wealthy all of their income - not just to $106,000 cap. Problem solved.

    Bush's - Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, - October 3, 2008 __ Tarp October 14, 2008

OMB [Office of Management and Budget] on proposed healthcare plan - inimum 2 - 2.2 T$ 'saving' in the next 10 years.

  • OMB [Office of Management and Budget]

says 2 - 2.2 T$ savings in the next ten years, with the current version passed by the Senate Dec. 24, 2009

  • I think that may be the central charcteristic of a right wing personality: no shame. They should put it on a bumber sticker.

  • Thats what 8 homes and 13 cars does to a guy.

  • John McCain is a fraud. Vote him out. If you live in Arizona register and vote in Republican primary. Vote for J. D. Hayworth. He's got the chance to unseat that fucker. Lets help him out.

  • I highly doubt JD hayworth is gonna be any better than McCain. lol. Hes even more of a loon. if anything he will be worse than McCain. McCain is just trying to act like a do nothing conservative asshole to save his seat now but J.D. is a loud mouthed do nothing conservative asshole for real. we need a democrat to take that seat so America can finally get something done for once... America wake up already!!

  • @MClown69

All I'm saying is vote out the incumbents. Dems don't have a chance in Arizona. So you have to vote for JD. I live in a state where Repub doesn't a chance for winning so I will vote to unseat current Idiot I mean senator by voting in the Dems primary.

  • ya I live in Ohio and its pretty much divided. I am lucky tho cause I live up north we have dems that fight for all of us like sherrod brown and betty sutton and dennis " tiny" kusinich. haha! then for whatever reason we must get stupider as we drive away from the lake cause down south they got assholes like John Boner. I mean Boehner... I don't know whats wrong with the southern part of my state. They must of grew up drinkin well water or something..

  • I live in the sothernist part of Ohio and yeah, tons of idiots down here. :/

  • McCain is a progressive? ROTFL! McCain isn't even close to being progressive! ROTFL!

  • @LDV089 yes he is,look at his voting record

  • ROTFL!!! No he is not! I know his voting record. He is no where near a progressive. I am a progressive. If you think McCain is progressive then you don't know what a progressive is.

  • Hey go easy on MrHr, he's posting on youtube from a paralell universe.

That's why he sounds batshit crazy to people from this universe, but in his paralell dimension McCain's a liberal, Bush was canonized as a saint and we won the wars in the middle east half a decade ago.

He, friction, fauxstreme, and rush limbaugh, teabags and the conservatives broadcast what's going on in their world, that's why everyone who isn't conservative thinks that they're mentally insane.

  • @dffykvn mcstain and bush were progressives get it got it good! beam me up scotty!

  • Bush is a progressive?

Yea, of course he is, what color is the sky in your universe?

Because your either from one, you're batshit crazy, or you're a right wing fanatic.

  • @dffykvn yes bush/ who grew government/in favor of ammnesty/spent beyond the budget! yep that bush

  • Yea damn those liberals Bush Cheney and Reagan.

Reagan was such a damned filthy tax raising government growing liberal!

    You are fucking retarded.

"Conservatives" ALWAYS grow government when they come into power.

They come into power, lower taxes for the rich, screw over the poor, give free shit to their private backers, start a war to feed the chickenhawk war profiteers and rewrite history on how fiscally sound their policies were.

  • @dffykvn reright history? man you got balls! the progressives changed history! they brought in the federal reserve and income tax along with every regulation you can count! teddy started it with all his bs and look where were at now!thanks you commie loving bastards, you guys are great! ss welfare medicade/medicare ,pleas help some more! oh thats right you are /healthcare,and cap and tax!

  • Teddy broke up the trusts that were fucking up working men.

I don't want to live in a town where the town, the towns stores, and the local mine are all run by the same tycoon who has people work in the mine from the age 5-60 in the hopes that when they hit old age they've worked in the mine long enough not to die of black lung, disease, overwork, shoddy codes, union busters who kill people who want to unionize so that they can eventually pay off their debt to the town and get a little money.

  • @dffykvn yes but you live in a country where you pay interest to tycoons on your own money! and unions are working out so well aren't they

  • Yea the 1900s were a free market paradise.

You can say that because you had the benefit of those damned liberals anti child labor laws.

Strict regulation for the handling of meat, medicine, construction of buildings, and all the other evil liberal regulations that the repubs keep trying to dismantle have worked properly and you don't know what life is like without them.

Would you start taking medicine that wasn't approved by the FDA?

Live in a building not up to code?

  • MrHr1207 - 'fed. R & inco.. tax'

. wherever you are getting you 'marching-points' aught to be deleted

Federal Reserve It was conceived by several of the world's leading bankers in 1910

    Pres. William Howard Taft [R] - 1909-13

The first United States income tax was imposed in July 1861 Pres. Abraham Lincoln [R] Abraham Lincoln 1861-65

S.S. and Medicare - Republicans implemented stealing from it 'does not negate' their - 'owning up to it' - and 'fulfilling their side of the contract'.

  • Lol. I see MrHr1207 is back for another round of getting his ass kicked on TYT. Bush was a Progressive? In what universe?

Maybe he and types like him are from some alternate reality dimension or something like in DC Comics.

  • @A86 look at his policies not his party doof!!!

  • I agree and disagree.

His policies weren't conservative, he did grow government, the creation of the department of homeland security turned the different agencies into a single beuraucratic nightmare filled with miscommunication, inefficiency and fraud.

His part D thing wasn't a progressive thing, it was a corporatist giveaway to pharma to eliminate competition for drug prices.

Growing government doesn't automatically make you a progressive, you actually have to have a prog agenda.

  • It's true his policies weren't classical conservatism or paleoconservative. His policies are what political scientists and economists refer to as "Neoconservatism" which is a new statist strand of conservatism.

I agree with what you're saying but it's also inaccurate to say that all forms of conservatism aim to decrease the size of government. Just like not all forms of progressivism and socialism (the two aren't the same MrHr) seek to increase the size of government.

  • If he's honest about what he believes, then he's calling Bush a progressive because Bush increased the size of government.

The bailout WAS Bushes idea and somehow that was tagged as a liberal agenda.

It was actually bipartisan. Corrupt members of both parties worked hard for their payday.

  • @dffykvn the bailout was voted by all who said yes and it continued with obama because it does not matter who's in office but the unseen!ask yourself ,who got the money? all crimes can be followed by that question alone!

  • I agree, Obama is the bankers bitch.

He's been asking the bankers, the insurers and anyone else how he can help them and fuck us over.

The progressives in the house and senate and suckered by his sales job, and the republicans won't vote for it anyway, while sellout dems look for ways to give money to bankers, pharma, insurers etc to line their pockets.

  • MrHr1207 -'who got the money'

Bush supporters [Wall St.], because he 'failed to get them' - S.S. ... kept all his supporters happy/paid back

  • @hackit12 man this new yt sucks/ the question is who is still getting the money, their not done yet! the people arond obama worked for some of those recipients

  • MrHr1207 -' the question is who is still getting the money'-

Theres class warfare, all right, Mr. Buffett said, but its my class, the rich class, thats making war, and were winning. 2006

  • That's a bastardization of what the term "Progressive" means politically. Progressives believe in using the government to regulate unfair business practices and providing social services while decreasing government intervention in personal freedoms and decreasing government military interventionism.

Bush indeed grew government but did so for corporate-jingoist conservative reasons. To bail out corporate America, increase social interventionism and increase military interventionism.

  • The military shouldn't be brought into left/right paradigm.

That's either inverventionist or non interventionist.

The conservatives didn't want to go to war with hitler because they wanted to do business with him.

Wars feed the military industrial complex, make contractors rich, and who doesn't want to use those shiny new toys?

  • I'm not saying militarism is a left-right thing. It's not. What I mean is Neoconservative are more militaristic and interventionist than classical conservatives. Classical conservatives tend towards isolationism or at least non-interventionism in international affairs. Neoconservatives are very interventionist and believe the US military can be used a world police force of sorts to "spread democracy" through power.

  • Yea, but then there's the bosnian intervention where we stopped a genocide with airstrikes.

The military shouldn't be in the neo whatever classification.

Each potential conflict should be viewed in the context of why we're intervening.

If it's for profit or make us look tough then it's morally wrong to go to war.

If it's to stop a genocide like in Bosnia or the first Desert storm where we helped Kuwait, then it's right and I'd support them.

  • I agree that there are some necessary wars. But Neocons believe virtually every conflict overseas should be stopped using the US military. They're also prone to wanting to use the military to overturn foreign governments if our government doesn't like the way the election went.

  • It's the fact free militarists that should have their citizenship taken away.

I think Lieberman wanted to invade an ally to kill a few hundred insurgents in a country with millions of people in it.

Why isn't that guy turned back at customs when entering the country again?

  • Lol. I agree. Jingoists should either have their citizenship revoked or there should be a mandatory draft for all these wars they want and the people who support these wars should be obligated to enlist in the military.

  • It's the old people who have never fought in a war, are afraid of being in a battlefield and will never let their children go to war that are the loudest glory seeking a holes.

  • @A86 send the bankers/wallstreet/owners/all tied to the military industrail complex kids to war,and see how long they last

  • Now on that we COMPLETELY agree. Good idea!

  • A military draft was recommended at the beginning of Bush's empirialization ... and voted down by Repub. - who also eliminated it after Vietnam - they do not want it effecting 'everybody' children/family. Because it contributed to ending Vietnam.

  • @hackit12 I know you must of heard about rham emmaneul's great idea to make a mandatory military service like they have in israel

  • If the princes of wall street were cornered, they'd turn their guns on their squadmates, mow them down, empty their wallet and offer 500,000 dollars for a position in the Taliban.

  • bring back the Fairness Doctrine - to hold the 'lying bastards' to their word/s .... insigting violence, revolution, tree of libert ... even treasonous.

  • I hate the chest thumping you're with us or your against us and gunna git invaded people.

They'll take a square peg and jam it into a round hole again and again and again.

I'd support using our power in a sane way where sane generals look at the positives and negatives of conflict, not just promising victory and writing up a 2 page plan after the 4th year of occupation.

Overthrowing Myanmars Junta, fucking up the evil genocidal prick in darfur, or a sane plan for north korea are things

  • that are worthy humanitarian causes.

If our plan was more detailed than just drop bombs and pray, and there was a way to get the people to overthrow those tin pot dictators then I'd be happy to fund the military...well maybe not the mercenary contractors...

  • reasonous.-'I hate the chest thumping you're with us or your against us'

Yep, suits the 'dumbed down-ers' ... can't and don't research any deeper than a 'bumper sticker' mantra.
