I love the M3 and M5 (not so much the M6) shit even the I6TT in the 135/335, but I love the Quattro in the Audi's better. Lets see any of the M's 0-60 in 8" of snow, ha... I'm from the mountains so you cant blame me. /// German Muscle! (o man, my fellow Americans are NOT going to like me...)
@Philmen Pretty sure idiot is the same word...unless your emplying idiot was meant to be BMW MERCEDES AUDI and YOU is supposed to mean LEXUS, other than that shut up hater 19 other people agree with me
@W3STCOAST3R Man stop thinking you are right because 19 poor idiots like you clicked on a thumb up. In Europe, Audi and Volkswagen sell more cars than every other bmw or mercedes, so now just go back to your WEST COAST with your shitty nickname haha and get your driving license !
@Philmen OOO your an Audi fanboy LOL no wonder...always been a cock haven't you? Lol i'm pretty sure California is considered one of the best cities to live in...ive had my license for a while, and audi's are no were near the best selling cars in europe and the only reason VW is is because its really cheap to buy...fuck off Audi Bitch
I agree audi sucks and so does vw i had audi all my life issues with headlight wire harness always burned out and mayor battery drain issues on most of the audi i own the dealer had no clue what the outcome was BMW all the way i now drive a 2003 bmw e39 m5 best car i ever had ....................
@MyGhostie I drive an e39 M5 as well! Mine is an 00' Imola Red how about yours? I believe the e39 and e60 M5's are going to be classics since they are the end of the N/A engines. My car is one of the best cars under $150,000 that I have driven!
@W3STCOAST3R I have an E39 M as well, it will a classic but the E60 wont, its literally a piece of shit, but its pretty and fast but BMW didnt do a good job at making it reliable, from the engine to the electronics is horrible, im a bimmer tech and dude the thing i see will make ur head spin and its consistent with 9 out of 10 of them( E39 issue is its carbon build up( cyl head removal required)
@skillz1855 Well my dad has an e60 M5 and apart from the usual oil change and regular maintenance he hasn't had anything go wrong. And it feels wonderful whenever I get a chance to drive it so sorry, but I can't agree there lol
@W3STCOAST3R you just called California a city....fucking moron lmfao and btw the E60 is a goddamn champ. Dont badmouth a fantastic piece of engineering when you cant even differentiate between a city and state. All aboard the short bus!
I pick the rs4 over the e39 m5 any day........proud owner of a 2004 nagaro blue S4...I LIKE THE M5 BUT THE INTERIOR WAS CHEAP, especially the buttons. Both cars are great.....
why does this audi always like getting rape by an old bimmer? does he needs 1000races to show his slow ass can't compare to a real mans car like a bmw?
I actually believe this, i was so unimpressed by racing an RS4 2007 with my 97 540i, it only started passing me at 140mph, and my car is dyno'ed at 313.7 bhp compared to its 400-od bhp!
@UserNamei5 well you keep waiting for your cars that run on fairy dust, because in 20+ yrs of research noone has turned up any new findings on cold fusion, and all federal funding disappeared yrs ago, so keep believing in something thats completely made up
@UserNamei5 the power of rainbows is actually a more realistic idea, 1st putting any kind of reactor in a car is clearly not safe, 2nd cold fusion is something that 2 scientists made up, they "accidentally discovered" it while doing an experiment, and in 20+ yrs noone has been able to replicate it doing their experiment or different ones, cold fusion is a joke which is why these days any idiot working on it must refer to it as a Low Energy Nuclear Reaction to avoid embarrassment
it is impossible that the e39 m5 is faster than the rs4. The rs4 has 420hp and the m5 400ps. the old rs6 is faster than the e39 m5 and the rs4 is faster than the rs6. I think the audi driver can not drive.
@Molefish2 not hardly the RS4 is in the M3s class not the M5, the audi competition to the M5 is the RS6, and the RS6 smokes the shit out of any M5, these days BMW isnt good for anything other than the M3
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 not true, the 1 series provides the same engine with a 3 series but in a lightweight body, creating a fast small sized car along with the Z4M, and once bmw releases the new M5 id hate to see how badly the comptition to the currnet M5 is destroyed. also, bmw provides luxury vehicles as well with the 7 series, and luxury yet sporty off road vehicles with the X3, X5, or a combination of off roading and sports cars with the X6, and gran tourismo.
@RedskinsCZ yes like all manufactures BMW makes many products, and many great 1s at that, but in the performance world BMW has the M3, the rest are behind the competition, i am also excited for the new M5 hopefully it will bring BMW back into the game
@mikethebeast1012 BMW has absolutely no need to step things up. Like I said earlier, its just an endless cycle of manufacturers that produce faster and faster cars. currently, there is a lot of competition out there for the M5 and M6, however, as the cycle continues, things will change. And BMW is plenty into the game. As I said earlier, speed isnt the only thigns that matters to manufactureers, but also luxury and convenience.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 my point is that you dont need to make all the biggest, fastest cars in the world to be a successful manufacturer, and this is the immature factor that many people on youtube tend to only think about, while the reality of it is that most people these days dont care about having the fastest car in the world, but more care about things like luxury and convenience, which allows bmw to be so great, as they make a car to suit all our needs.
@RedskinsCZ thats true and is why VWAG is quickly making their way to being the #1 auto maker, btw BMW is nowhere close, both companies make great cars im not against BMW at all i love M3s but aside from that they need to step it up, what does luxury have to do with racing? they both have AC, comfortable seats, and good quality interiors which is more than can be said for some fast cars
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 Its ironic that I actually drive a 2000 jetta, and I love it, i love everything VW is about, but my dad owns a 3 series BMW, and whenever I get to drive it, the differance in luxury is insane. Thats where the attention to fine detail comes in where you have to look past AC and comfortable seats. And along with VW, BMW is actually a bigger part of the automotive industry than you may think. They are currently developing hydrogen powered cars.
@RedskinsCZ i would never compare the quality of my VW with a BMW however i would compare it with Audi, BMW is a very small company i dont even believe they are in the top 10,hydrogen is great and all but its a long way off, its still pretty much impossible to store the amount of energy required to give a hydrogen car comparable time between fillups, its a novel idea but its along way off, besides every company has a hydrogen car BMW just gives theirs to movie stars to say "Hey look at us"
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 yes, bmw is a very small production company, so it would be hard for them to be in the top 10 manufacturers. and yes, many companies do have hydrogen cars, but the group of BMW, Honda, and GM wer the original team of manufacturers to begin the research, therefore it only makes sense that all involved in the original group will become a large part of the automotive industry when the demand for an alternate fuel arises.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 the demand for an alternate fuel (due to loss of fossil fuels) will also result in the eradication of the biggest hinderance to teh hydrogen project as of now: nowhere to fill up. once there is a demand for an alternate fuel, people wil have no choice but to convert gas stations to hydrogen stations, so although the use of hydrogen is distant, it willcome when we run out of fossil fuels. and it is good what bmw does to raise awareness to hydrogen cars; it will preparethe public
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 These hydrogen powered cars will compensate for teh inevitable erduced amouts of gasoline the world will soon face. Just look at Dubai, one of the worlds largest suppliers of gasoline. They project their gasoline resources to be completely depleted by 2016, so alternate fuels must be developed, and electric powered cars simply do not provide enough power to be considered sporty (not to mention that the process of developing their bateries is dirty and hurts the environment.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 wWith hydrogen powered cars, the only emission is water, (arnold schwarzenegger even drank the water out of the exhaust of his hydrogen powered car) and you can harness hydrogen via natural solar energy (no factories that hurt the environment) making it completely environmentally friendly, and being that hydrogen is highyl combustable (like gasoline), it provides the cear with the power to race as well.
@RedskinsCZ hydrogen is NOT the way of the future, diesel/bio-diesel and ethanol are far more likely since the existing gasoline infrastructure can quickly, easily, and inexpensively (compared to hydrogen) be converted to use these fuels, even existing cars can be easily converted to use either of these fuels, hydrogen and electric is a long way off probably far beyond what any of us will see
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 please, youdont have to disagree with everything i say, im not trying to argue anymore, im just stating the facts. i agree that diesel is a good alternative to gasoline because of its low emissions and higher mpg rates, however, it soon will run ot as well, resulting in a need for alternate fuels, and hydrogen is not as distant of a method as you may think. Dubai says they will be out of oil by 2016 at current demands, and BMW, Honda, and GM have already developed working
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 hydrogen cars, and they exceed the expectations of emissions and efficiency (the only emission is water). Like i said, these cars have already been developed, and are operational. The only thing getting in the way of their use is the pain of cenverting fill sations, which will have to happen anyways once there is a need for alternate fuel when we run out of oil and gasoline. And we can harness hydrgen through a synthesis involving solar panels, so we have an unlimted amount of
@RedskinsCZ bio-diesel and ethanol will never run out they are both plant based, both provide an almost seamless transition from gasoline, and both provide a driving experience almost identical to gasoline, stations and cars would require only modifications to allow the ethanol's slightly more corrosive nature, and then almost all pumps, etc would still be useable
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 I agree, biodiesel and ethanol are great alternatives to gasoline. Howerver, being plant-based, they seem to defeat the purpose of protecting the environment because at the large demand for fuel currently presented, large amounts of deforestation (of whatever vegetation is used in the fuels) will occur once gasoline is gone. Hydrogen is gathered through a synthesis involving solar energy, and has a cleaner emission than ethanol and biodiesel (water), and is also similar to gas
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 It is every bit as combstable as gasoline, and like ethanol and biodiesel, it wouldnt be hard to convert fueling stations, especially once the need arises. As Jay Leno said, things happen so fast these days, so the conversion of fueling stations shouldnt even be worried about. In fact, there are already hundreds of hydrogen fueling stations currently operational around the country.
@RedskinsCZ 1st neither ethanol nor biodiesel would require deforestation lol it is made from corn soy or many other crop type plants, and biodiesel is made from other waste oils being refined, the only advantage hydrogen has is the zero emission, because converting stations and cars to ethanol would require coating the tanks to resist corrosion and swapping a few hoses and small parts, hydrogen would not be a simple switch at all, it requires advanced pressurized systems and all new pumps
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 deforestation would occur because of the high demand that would occur for plants like corn and soybeans if they were to become a large part of the alternative fuels to gasoline, because forests would have to be cleared fo make room for planting the corn and soybeans, therefore defeating the purpose. Hydrogen fill stations do requie more work in converting, but as Jay Leno stated, things happen fast these days. Plus there are already hundreds of stations operational today in US
@RedskinsCZ im glad that Leno is for hydrogen what al gore is for the prius, at this point you arent making any sense, growing corn and soy for the most part cant occur where our forests grow, it would be as simple as switching a few fields of 1 crop to another, were already the worlds largest producer of soy, so stop exporting it and limit its use and we would have plenty
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 and al gore will probably like hydrogen more too when he hears of its only emission being water, and how its actually very harmful to the environment to produce batteries for electric cars. Also, my point earlier is that forests would be REMOVED and the land would be converted to be able to grow soy and corn to meet the high demand which would end up happening because we depend too much on world trade from oursoy and corn values to afford to stop exporting it. We'd be at a loss
@RedskinsCZ let me reword my previous statement since you missed it, most of our forests are in a climate where growing corn/soy would be more difficult, also if the the price was raised just slightly on these crops no exportation would be needed, just limit them to only being used for fuel and not consumption, if anything it would help the economy by decreasing our dependence on foreign oil which has been a goal for decades and never happened
@mikethebeast1012 either way, if we limid its use to only fuel then we run out of a reliable food and many people wouldnt stand for it. Also, ethanol tends to produce less energy than is used to make it, and therefoer is very costly, and inefficient, unlike hydrogen which can be produced as a small cost. The production of hydrogen would also decrease our dependancy on foreign oil as well
@RedskinsCZ you act like corn and soy is all we eat, its a very small portion of most peoples diet, also a premium could be charged for the small portion of crops for consumption, in N/A form yes ethanol makes far less power but when turbo ethanol has a FAR higher octane and makes ALOT more power than gasoline, ethanol is also significantly cheaper than gasoline and i think people would appreciate spending less for fuel AND getting more power, hydrogen is EASILY the most expensive alternative
@mikethebeast1012 there is no possible way for hydrogen to even be considered as the mostexpensive alternative, after the large initail cost of converting the fuel stations, it can be made for free with existing solar panels.
@RedskinsCZ yes the HUGE! initial cost plus creating the production facilities for it, it would be decades before it paid for it self, the facilities (production and fill stations) are almost non-existent at this point (with the exception of the few test sites and such) and would have to be built new, there would be no converting of current facilities because its such a radically different concept
@mikethebeast1012 It is not as differnt as a concept as you think, and perhaps the ability to still have strength in world trade with goods like soybeans and corn would allow that kind of spending. Also, it would pay for itself because with its virtually no emissions, and unlimited resourses involved in gatherng hydrogen (the sun), the government would be able to use spending on other things than anti-pollution research/ads, and there would be more money available due to its cheap pruduction.
@RedskinsCZ it is extremely different from gasoline, you must have an expensive pressurized system to store it on land and in the car which is where the HUGE initial cost comes from, in most states pollution adds and whatnot are paid for by the ridiculous amount of emissions testing that drivers pay, world trade? we were at one of our strongest times when we did almost no trade at all after WW2 so thats not that important
@mikethebeast1012 also, there arent only just a few testing sites at this time there are hundreds of fueling stations in the USA alone that are fully operational. There are thousands more worldwide in countries like Dubai, Russia, Germany, England, etc. Plus, conversion of fueling sites is not as big of a deal as you think. It wouls only take a matter of months, even weeks to fully convert fuel stations everywhere in the world, when the world is ready for the change.
@RedskinsCZ the only argument for hydrogen is the environment it is in no way the most economical choice, compared to converting for ethanol/biodiesel yes it would be a big deal, like i said in some cases just changing the hoses would be all you would have to do whereas with hydrogen you wouldnt even be converting anything since you would be digging and building everything, nothing but the mini-mart would be reused from a gas station, the equipment is totally different and hugely expensive
@RedskinsCZ are people likely to buy into that HUGE initial cost? probably not especially when the low initial cost and low operating costs of ethanol and bio-diesel are a perfectly feasible (and sustainable) option
@mikethebeast1012 well theres no way to tell for sure what people will do. clearly there are pros and cons to each, and we will just have to wait and see what happens.
@mikethebeast1012 something to consider is that dubai and surrounding countries (currently a large worldwide supplyer of oil) is fully supporting the gourp of 3 (honda, GM, and BMW) in the development of hydrogen vehicles by quickly producing several fueling stations there, so even the worlds leader in our oil supply is backing hydrogen.
@mikethebeast1012 ultimately, what it comes down to is emissions. This is by far the biggest controversey to current fuels. Everyone is worried about the environment these days with all the global warming ideas, and once everyone sees how clean hydrogen is, they will probably be willing to pay the money to have fuel sites converted (and then enjoy having low costs on everything else afterwards, making it realistically the most painless alternative fuel).
@RedskinsCZ hydrogen cars are SLOW i enjoy driving and would never be able to drive one and i dont think anyone who does enjoy driving ever would either, as ive already said it will take decades for the hydrogen to pay off its initial cost, the only positive argument for hydrogen is its zero emissions, but thats where it stops, they are slow boring cars the fuel and the actual vehicles will cost alot for the 1st decades
@mikethebeast1012 hydrogen cars are slower than gas powered cars, but so is ethanol and biodiesel. The only thing keeping you alive in this arguement is the fact that fueling stations will need to be converted, and to say that it is expensive is an opinion, and it will pay for itself in the long run when no one has to spend money on cleaning the environment. how can you possibly argue against a fuel that doesnt have any emissions, and is easy to make tho? thats the main purpose behind the
@RedskinsCZ neither ethanol or biodiesel is slow, ethanol has an extremely high octane allowing you to crank you the boost, which is why some companies do ethanol conversions on vehicles because you can get huge gains, the only time ethanol is slow is in N/A cars but that in itself is extremely inefficient
@mikethebeast1012 the mercedes, honda, and bmw race cars that were developed with engines that allowed the cars to OUTPERFORM gasoline powered cars in the same class. I know it s hard to believe, so mythbusters even raced a hydrogen/electric formula 1 car against a gas powered formula 1 car, and the hydro/elec car was able to prove it could outperform the gas car, so instead of saying no thanks (thinking hydrogen cars cant perform well) i would be saying yes please! they are capable of
@RedskinsCZ where are these hydrogen cars that outperform, after searching and finding NOTHING about hydrogen performance i have to say your statements are the ones with no facts, my statements can all be backed up, 1st arnold and leno are not experts by any means just celebrities, 2nd there was no mythbusters with a hydrogen car except when they proved the cheap online kits dont work, 3rd none of my statements were exagerated
@RedskinsCZ here are some more facts: the government recently cut 60% of hydrogen funding saying it was not a realistic goal for the next 10-20yrs until crys from GM engineers over possible job losses reversed the act, also MOST of todays hydrogen is made using industrial processes that are in no way clean the solar method you are speaking of is barely used at all and is still very much in the R&D stages and FAR from being used on a large scale let alone todays tiny hydrogen market
@mikethebeast1012 outperforming current gas powered cars (where ethanol and biodiesel couldnt even come close). also, it seems that every time i have an arguement i back it with an official proven publicised fact (such as jay leno and arnold schwarzeneggers take on hydrogen cars, along with mythbusters PROVEN myth) while you are making statements that seem exxagerated and illigitimate... so im not sure that i want to argue about this any more. you have stated your opinions, and i have stated my
@RedskinsCZ i have stated my facts to your opinions, and thats really all that can be done in this arguement. what im basically saying is that this arguement is exhausted (as were starting to repeat ourselves) and i feel like it should end. we will just have to wait and see wat happens in the future with which alternative fuel is used. and now that this conversation is over, you can feel free to reply, but i will not reply back, as we will just end up repeating ourselves again in an endless cycl
@mikethebeast1012 thank you for all you have stated about ethanol and biodiesel. i have learned a lot from our discussion and i respect your support of these alternative fuels, but i also respect your love of cars, because i can relate to it myself. I am sorry for any frustration i caused in this arguement as each of us were simply defending our opinion.
@RedskinsCZ im glad you enjoyed this debate, hopefully you will take the facts i have presented to heart instead of the bullshit and falacies you have presented, there is no hydrogen performance car let alone F1, F1 uses 100% ethanol, its renewable, its clean, and relatively inexpensive, although hydrogen from electrolysis and solar would be the ideal eco-friendly fuel that is where the benefits end, those methods cannot provide the amount needed to run all the cars in america
@mikethebeast1012 use of alternate fuels. the fact that gasoline is depleting, and the fact that our environment is heavily polluted are the biggest factors encouraging the development and use of a cleaner alternate fuel. and when you want to talk about money, as I said before, even though you could view the initial cost of converting fuel stations as costly, it will pay for itself over time, perhaps helped by the "huge amounts of emissions testing drivers pay" that you talked of earlier.
@RedskinsCZ also biodiesel is almost exactly like diesel, it can be used purely for economy but you still get a drivable car with loads of torque like the jetta tdi, or can be fast and performance oriented like the 335d but still efficient so, the huge cost of converting is NOT the only difference, like ive already said the ONLY benefit to hydrogen is its zero emissions, initial costs that will take decades to pay off, slow boring cars, no thanks
@mikethebeast1012 initial cost will not be any sort of problem whatsoever because when the time comes where people want to actually help the environment rather than harm it, the money we devote to other fuels research and environment cleaning can then be used in creating hydrigen fueling stations, which will make it easy to pay off. the only thing hindering this from happening is that the world is not yet ready for it to happen, but the time will come evnetually as long as we as humans dont
@mikethebeast1012 want to see the extinction of organisms that struggle to survive due to pollution of our cars. Also, as far as performance goes, hydrogen can be specially synthesized to be every bit as powerful as ethanol (ethanol is the weakest of them all) and it wouldnt surprise me if it soon were able to be faster than biodiesel as well, due to the face that is has more of a high torque at low speeds rather than high torque at high speeds. Proof that hydrogen can perform well is seen in
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikethebeast1012 energy available that we can use to harness hydrogen. So, as it is clean to harness (unlike electric cars that use chemical spewing factories to develop bateries), and has clean emissions (being only water, nothing more) hydrogen is the cleanest possible fuel we can use. if you still have any questions, you can see Jay Leno explain it all. search "Jay Leno Speaks Out On behalf of BMW's Hydrogen Initiative"
i respect BMW for thair motors, but thats it, the rest of bimmer is crap. When i had a BMW m5 e39 i had problems all the time. Every month a huge part of my salary went to a BMW service.
@RedneckkRudy this is true, however the '06 RS4 is more lightweight than the E39 M5, and the said RS4 also produces more horsepower. Therefore it is more than fair to race these cars together.
@RedskinsCZ youre just spewing you bullshit everywhere arent you, the M5 is garbage when compared to the competition, the begining of this video says the M5 is dynoed with 20-30hp extra hp, a more comparable car would be the RS6 that would stomp any M5 stock vs stock
@mikethebeast1012 well look whose talking, i thought i was done with you but i guess not, and one could easily say that your comments are bullshit as well. In the end though, you cant argue with teh facts, '06 RS4 is more lightweight than the E39 M5, and the said RS4 also produces more horsepower. Therefore it is more than fair to race these cars together, and i think the majority of the people on this page will agree with me.
@RedskinsCZ in the beginning of the video it clearly says the M5 was dynoed 20-30 extra hp, it makes sense the M5 would win in a drag race but the M5s (both generations) are horrible around the track and would not only be beaten by the RS4 but also the RS6, those are the facts look at the laptimes
Rs4 = M3 if same year models and by that i mean Rs4 2006 vs m3 E90 model ok but Here, we have an old E39 m5 ( 400 hp ) vs 2006 Rs4 ( 420 hp ) So it is the same class.

@RedskinsCZ yes like all manufactures BMW makes many products, and many great 1s at that, but in the performance world BMW has the M3, the rest are behind the competition, i am also excited for the new M5 hopefully it will bring BMW back into the game
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 BMW has absolutely no need to step things up. Like I said earlier, its just an endless cycle of manufacturers that produce faster and faster cars. currently, there is a lot of competition out there for the M5 and M6, however, as the cycle continues, things will change. And BMW is plenty into the game. As I said earlier, speed isnt the only thigns that matters to manufactureers, but also luxury and convenience.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@mikethebeast1012 my point is that you dont need to make all the biggest, fastest cars in the world to be a successful manufacturer, and this is the immature factor that many people on youtube tend to only think about, while the reality of it is that most people these days dont care about having the fastest car in the world, but more care about things like luxury and convenience, which allows bmw to be so great, as they make a car to suit all our needs.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ thats true and is why VWAG is quickly making their way to being the #1 auto maker, btw BMW is nowhere close, both companies make great cars im not against BMW at all i love M3s but aside from that they need to step it up, what does luxury have to do with racing? they both have AC, comfortable seats, and good quality interiors which is more than can be said for some fast cars

RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ i would never compare the quality of my VW with a BMW however i would compare it with Audi, BMW is a very small company i dont even believe they are in the top 10,hydrogen is great and all but its a long way off, its still pretty much impossible to store the amount of energy required to give a hydrogen car comparable time between fillups, its a novel idea but its along way off, besides every company has a hydrogen car BMW just gives theirs to movie stars to say "Hey look at us"
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@mikethebeast1012 yes, bmw is a very small production company, so it would be hard for them to be in the top 10 manufacturers. and yes, many companies do have hydrogen cars, but the group of BMW, Honda, and GM wer the original team of manufacturers to begin the research, therefore it only makes sense that all involved in the original group will become a large part of the automotive industry when the demand for an alternate fuel arises.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@mikethebeast1012 the demand for an alternate fuel (due to loss of fossil fuels) will also result in the eradication of the biggest hinderance to teh hydrogen project as of now: nowhere to fill up. once there is a demand for an alternate fuel, people wil have no choice but to convert gas stations to hydrogen stations, so although the use of hydrogen is distant, it willcome when we run out of fossil fuels. and it is good what bmw does to raise awareness to hydrogen cars; it will preparethe public
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago

@mikethebeast1012 These hydrogen powered cars will compensate for teh inevitable erduced amouts of gasoline the world will soon face. Just look at Dubai, one of the worlds largest suppliers of gasoline. They project their gasoline resources to be completely depleted by 2016, so alternate fuels must be developed, and electric powered cars simply do not provide enough power to be considered sporty (not to mention that the process of developing their bateries is dirty and hurts the environment.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@mikethebeast1012 wWith hydrogen powered cars, the only emission is water, (arnold schwarzenegger even drank the water out of the exhaust of his hydrogen powered car) and you can harness hydrogen via natural solar energy (no factories that hurt the environment) making it completely environmentally friendly, and being that hydrogen is highyl combustable (like gasoline), it provides the cear with the power to race as well.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ hydrogen is NOT the way of the future, diesel/bio-diesel and ethanol are far more likely since the existing gasoline infrastructure can quickly, easily, and inexpensively (compared to hydrogen) be converted to use these fuels, even existing cars can be easily converted to use either of these fuels, hydrogen and electric is a long way off probably far beyond what any of us will see
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago 4

@mikethebeast1012 please, youdont have to disagree with everything i say, im not trying to argue anymore, im just stating the facts. i agree that diesel is a good alternative to gasoline because of its low emissions and higher mpg rates, however, it soon will run ot as well, resulting in a need for alternate fuels, and hydrogen is not as distant of a method as you may think. Dubai says they will be out of oil by 2016 at current demands, and BMW, Honda, and GM have already developed working

And we can harness hydrgen through a synthesis involving solar panels, so we have an unlimted amount of
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ bio-diesel and ethanol will never run out they are both plant based, both provide an almost seamless transition from gasoline, and both provide a driving experience almost identical to gasoline, stations and cars would require only modifications to allow the ethanol's slightly more corrosive nature, and then almost all pumps, etc would still be useable
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago 2
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@mikethebeast1012 I agree, biodiesel and ethanol are great alternatives to gasoline.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@mikethebeast1012 It is every bit as combstable as gasoline, and like ethanol and biodiesel, it wouldnt be hard to convert fueling stations, especially once the need arises. As Jay Leno said, things happen so fast these days, so the conversion of fueling stations shouldnt even be worried about. In fact, there are already hundreds of hydrogen fueling stations currently operational around the country.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ 1st neither ethanol nor biodiesel would require deforestation lol it is made from corn soy or many other crop type plants, and biodiesel is made from other waste oils being refined, the only advantage hydrogen has is the zero emission, because converting stations and cars to ethanol would require coating the tanks to resist corrosion and swapping a few hoses and small parts, hydrogen would not be a simple switch at all, it requires advanced pressurized systems and all new pumps
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago 3
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@mikethebeast1012 deforestation would occur because of the high demand that would occur for plants like corn and soybeans if they were to become a large part of the alternative fuels to gasoline, because forests would have to be cleared fo make room for planting the corn and soybeans, therefore defeating the purpose. Hydrogen fill stations do requie more work in converting, but as Jay Leno stated, things happen fast these days. Plus there are already hundreds of stations operational today in US
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ im glad that Leno is for hydrogen what al gore is for the prius, at this point you arent making any sense, growing corn and soy for the most part cant occur where our forests grow, it would be as simple as switching a few fields of 1 crop to another, were already the worlds largest producer of soy, so stop exporting it and limit its use and we would have plenty
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago 3
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@mikethebeast1012 and al gore will probably like hydrogen more too when he hears of its only emission being water, and how its actually very harmful to the environment to produce batteries for electric cars. Also, my point earlier is that forests would be REMOVED and the land would be converted to be able to grow soy and corn to meet the high demand which would end up happening because we depend too much on world trade from oursoy and corn values to afford to stop exporting it. We'd be at a loss
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ let me reword my previous statement since you missed it, most of our forests are in a climate where growing corn/soy would be more difficult, also if the the price was raised just slightly on these crops no exportation would be needed, just limit them to only being used for fuel and not consumption, if anything it would help the economy by decreasing our dependence on foreign oil which has been a goal for decades and never happened
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago 2
@mikethebeast1012 either way, if we limid its use to only fuel then we run out of a reliable food and many people wouldnt stand for it. Also, ethanol tends to produce less energy than is used to make it, and therefoer is very costly, and inefficient, unlike hydrogen which can be produced as a small cost. The production of hydrogen would also decrease our dependancy on foreign oil as well
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ you act like corn and soy is all we eat, its a very small portion of most peoples diet, also a premium could be charged for the small portion of crops for consumption, in N/A form yes ethanol makes far less power but when turbo ethanol has a FAR higher octane and makes ALOT more power than gasoline, ethanol is also significantly cheaper than gasoline and i think people would appreciate spending less for fuel AND getting more power, hydrogen is EASILY the most expensive alternative
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago 2
@mikethebeast1012 there is no possible way for hydrogen to even be considered as the mostexpensive alternative, after the large initail cost of converting the fuel stations, it can be made for free with existing solar panels.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ yes the HUGE! initial cost plus creating the production facilities for it, it would be decades before it paid for it self, the facilities (production and fill stations) are almost non-existent at this point (with the exception of the few test sites and such) and would have to be built new, there would be no converting of current facilities because its such a radically different concept
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 It is not as differnt as a concept as you think, and perhaps the ability to still have strength in world trade with goods like soybeans and corn would allow that kind of spending. Also, it would pay for itself because with its virtually no emissions, and unlimited resourses involved in gatherng hydrogen (the sun), the government would be able to use spending on other things than anti-pollution research/ads, and there would be more money available due to its cheap pruduction.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ it is extremely different from gasoline, you must have an expensive pressurized system to store it on land and in the car which is where the HUGE initial cost comes from, in most states pollution adds and whatnot are paid for by the ridiculous amount of emissions testing that drivers pay, world trade? we were at one of our strongest times when we did almost no trade at all after WW2 so thats not that important
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 also, there arent only just a few testing sites at this time there are hundreds of fueling stations in the USA alone that are fully operational. There are thousands more worldwide in countries like Dubai, Russia, Germany, England, etc. Plus, conversion of fueling sites is not as big of a deal as you think. It wouls only take a matter of months, even weeks to fully convert fuel stations everywhere in the world, when the world is ready for the change.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ the only argument for hydrogen is the environment it is in no way the most economical choice, compared to converting for ethanol/biodiesel yes it would be a big deal, like i said in some cases just changing the hoses would be all you would have to do whereas with hydrogen you wouldnt even be converting anything since you would be digging and building everything, nothing but the mini-mart would be reused from a gas station, the equipment is totally different and hugely expensive
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ are people likely to buy into that HUGE initial cost? probably not especially when the low initial cost and low operating costs of ethanol and bio-diesel are a perfectly feasible (and sustainable) option
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 well theres no way to tell for sure what people will do. clearly there are pros and cons to each, and we will just have to wait and see what happens.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 something to consider is that dubai and surrounding countries (currently a large worldwide supplyer of oil) is fully supporting the gourp of 3 (honda, GM, and BMW) in the development of hydrogen vehicles by quickly producing several fueling stations there, so even the worlds leader in our oil supply is backing hydrogen.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 ultimately, what it comes down to is emissions. This is by far the biggest controversey to current fuels. Everyone is worried about the environment these days with all the global warming ideas, and once everyone sees how clean hydrogen is, they will probably be willing to pay the money to have fuel sites converted (and then enjoy having low costs on everything else afterwards, making it realistically the most painless alternative fuel).
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ hydrogen cars are SLOW i enjoy driving and would never be able to drive one and i dont think anyone who does enjoy driving ever would either, as ive already said it will take decades for the hydrogen to pay off its initial cost, the only positive argument for hydrogen is its zero emissions, but thats where it stops, they are slow boring cars the fuel and the actual vehicles will cost alot for the 1st decades
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago 2
@mikethebeast1012 hydrogen cars are slower than gas powered cars, but so is ethanol and biodiesel. The only thing keeping you alive in this arguement is the fact that fueling stations will need to be converted, and to say that it is expensive is an opinion, and it will pay for itself in the long run when no one has to spend money on cleaning the environment. how can you possibly argue against a fuel that doesnt have any emissions, and is easy to make tho? thats the main purpose behind the
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ neither ethanol or biodiesel is slow, ethanol has an extremely high octane allowing you to crank you the boost, which is why some companies do ethanol conversions on vehicles because you can get huge gains, the only time ethanol is slow is in N/A cars but that in itself is extremely inefficient
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 the mercedes, honda, and bmw race cars that were developed with engines that allowed the cars to OUTPERFORM gasoline powered cars in the same class. I know it s hard to believe, so mythbusters even raced a hydrogen/electric formula 1 car against a gas powered formula 1 car, and the hydro/elec car was able to prove it could outperform the gas car, so instead of saying no thanks (thinking hydrogen cars cant perform well) i would be saying yes please! they are capable of
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ where are these hydrogen cars that outperform, after searching and finding NOTHING about hydrogen performance i have to say your statements are the ones with no facts, my statements can all be backed up, 1st arnold and leno are not experts by any means just celebrities, 2nd there was no mythbusters with a hydrogen car except when they proved the cheap online kits dont work, 3rd none of my statements were exagerated
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ here are some more facts: the government recently cut 60% of hydrogen funding saying it was not a realistic goal for the next 10-20yrs until crys from GM engineers over possible job losses reversed the act, also MOST of todays hydrogen is made using industrial processes that are in no way clean the solar method you are speaking of is barely used at all and is still very much in the R&D stages and FAR from being used on a large scale let alone todays tiny hydrogen market
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 outperforming current gas powered cars (where ethanol and biodiesel couldnt even come close). also, it seems that every time i have an arguement i back it with an official proven publicised fact (such as jay leno and arnold schwarzeneggers take on hydrogen cars, along with mythbusters PROVEN myth) while you are making statements that seem exxagerated and illigitimate... so im not sure that i want to argue about this any more. you have stated your opinions, and i have stated my
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ i have stated my facts to your opinions, and thats really all that can be done in this arguement. what im basically saying is that this arguement is exhausted (as were starting to repeat ourselves) and i feel like it should end. we will just have to wait and see wat happens in the future with which alternative fuel is used. and now that this conversation is over, you can feel free to reply, but i will not reply back, as we will just end up repeating ourselves again in an endless cycl
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 thank you for all you have stated about ethanol and biodiesel. i have learned a lot from our discussion and i respect your support of these alternative fuels, but i also respect your love of cars, because i can relate to it myself. I am sorry for any frustration i caused in this arguement as each of us were simply defending our opinion.
cheers,

RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ im glad you enjoyed this debate, hopefully you will take the facts i have presented to heart instead of the bullshit and falacies you have presented, there is no hydrogen performance car let alone F1, F1 uses 100% ethanol, its renewable, its clean, and relatively inexpensive, although hydrogen from electrolysis and solar would be the ideal eco-friendly fuel that is where the benefits end, those methods cannot provide the amount needed to run all the cars in america
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 use of alternate fuels. the fact that gasoline is depleting, and the fact that our environment is heavily polluted are the biggest factors encouraging the development and use of a cleaner alternate fuel. and when you want to talk about money, as I said before, even though you could view the initial cost of converting fuel stations as costly, it will pay for itself over time, perhaps helped by the "huge amounts of emissions testing drivers pay" that you talked of earlier.
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@RedskinsCZ also biodiesel is almost exactly like diesel, it can be used purely for economy but you still get a drivable car with loads of torque like the jetta tdi, or can be fast and performance oriented like the 335d but still efficient so, the huge cost of converting is NOT the only difference, like ive already said the ONLY benefit to hydrogen is its zero emissions, initial costs that will take decades to pay off, slow boring cars, no thanks
mikethebeast1012 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 initial cost will not be any sort of problem whatsoever because when the time comes where people want to actually help the environment rather than harm it, the money we devote to other fuels research and environment cleaning can then be used in creating hydrigen fueling stations, which will make it easy to pay off. the only thing hindering this from happening is that the world is not yet ready for it to happen, but the time will come evnetually as long as we as humans dont
RedskinsCZ 1 year ago
@mikethebeast1012 want to see the extinction of organisms that struggle to survive due to pollution of our cars. Also, as far as performance goes, hydrogen can be specially synthesized to be every bit as powerful as ethanol (ethanol is the weakest of them all) and it wouldnt surprise me if it soon were able to be faster than biodiesel as well, due to the face that is has more of a high torque at low speeds rather than high torque at high speeds. Proof that hydrogen can perform well is seen in

PS. BMW on this video is not stock.

the m5 is older and its sill better. thats the innovative engineering thats behind bmw. ///M Power Forever.

@RedskinsCZ It's driving vs the RS4, though, a "lower" sport model. Sort of like the M3.
RedneckkRudy 1 year ago

Rs4 = M3 if same year models and by that i mean Rs4 2006 vs m3 E90 model ok but Here, we have an old E39 m5 ( 400 hp ) vs 2006 Rs4 ( 420 hp ) So it is the same class.

2 things most likely
1. the rs4 driver doest know how to shift
2. the m5 is not as stock as it seems
