correction. the programme itself is clean! but every item downloaded has a virus caught with my virus checker, mostly trojans.

This connects to the Gnutella network which every version of limewire connects to, so no matter what version u have it will yield the same results. The only difference in versions is the speed and interface. U just have to be careful what u download make sure the file names sizes and extension match up with what u want to download if u want a song make sure its an mp3 that is around 2,000-9,000 kb depending on the length. This cuts through a lot of viruses. Hope this helps you out.

Yes your firewall will pop up for numerous things, mostly programs that act as a download server, even java will ask for an exception.

I took a risk and downloaded it first, then scanned it and it did turn up virus free. The only thing wrong with this is it isn't the original Limewire. It is a generic version of the real Limewire. You can tell by the cheap intro/loading graphic. I deleted it and didn't use it but I can say that it is virus free but some things you download with it can contain viruses.

The generic graphic is just to save time for making a logo and putting more into optimizing speed. Also the more design in a logo the more time it takes to load up. Thank you for your comments.

I did not say if it was true or not but those modifications have made it a lot more stable, as well as quicker. It also reduces the amount of junk and viruses with an improved search engine. Remember that if someone modify's something there is normally something wrong with it in the first place.

I make sure that i solve all of my own problems which over the years has given me a decent amount of computer knowledge, whenever i need something i research it, or find my own solution by experimentation. Computer science is a great field to enter i am pre-med, the easiest way to find out if it is a good major is to meet with consoler at your university, also research it on the net to see if its for you. yes it can but so can anything. There has been times where viruses where sent through Microsoft automatic updates. The only that you can do is get a good firewall i recommend zone alarm its free. Good virus protection you will have to pay, but you need that regardless. Also you can use a free website its called virustotal(dot) com it scans your file with 40 virus scanners and is what i use it is the best protection out there. Hope this helps!

It will open torrents see my video on how to change file default programs. Using Limewire for torrents is not the best option, try utorrent it is a faster client for torrents. Limewire can be used for torrents but is meant for the gnutella network. Where as torrent clients such as utorrent are made for it.

I only use internet explore for Windows 7, there is a cool tab feature for Windows 7 that only works for IE, I wish it worked for Mozilla. Also Mozilla, and other web browsers where not very stable on Windows 7, it is now but was not on the older version of windows 7 which i was using in the video. I use mozilla for XP, which is my primary os. I agree with you that IE is a terrible web browser, it is similar to windows firewall which is pointless.
