  • For all the trolls... this kid hit .734 with a .850 slugging and 19 SBs... he beat all the other kids on the team in the their home run derby earlier in the practice and the day before... but he is clearly tired and losing focus. As a Manager that won a League World Series and a youth coach for the last 7 years, we do what we can to motivate the kids to the next level. You can hear the other coaches in the backgruond pushing him, as well. but yes, I am hard on my kid.

  • This video is not a professional review of the Easton Omen bat... this is a video of an 8 yr old's batting practice using the bat for the first time. This is the kid's 2nd time through the line and about his 65th-85th pitch overall. Like most young kids, and most adults, when they get fatigued, they lose mechanics. Note the bad sting when he hits the neck / connexion joint... this issue has been noted in reviews.

  • Correction - bat is 29/12... 17oz...

  • how many inches is the bat

  • Special note- Contact on rubber joint or neck or end of bat definitely not good! A lot of stingers with this bat, but that's a good correction tool to keep hands in and turn on ball!

  • @RDoctorD thanks

  • Teaching kids to keep their hands close to shoulder and rotate the torso/shoulder unit is tough! Use examples like ice skaters or twisting up a swingset to discuss centrifugal force pulling bat and hands.
