Thing was, in 1967 leaving home for the first time was an amazingly important social issue. It was drama personified. You couldn't blow your brains out on skunkweed or shoot smack in your arse.......there wasn't any. Or if there was ordinary people had not heard about it. The Beatles were considered quite brave to put this issue under the spotlight. My, how innocent a time and yet we all thought we were dreadfully grown up..
