  • Now, I am depressive...

  • This is the most most melancholy sounding of all Beatles song.,,,,,,kind of depressing but still good.

  • I love paul!!!☺☺☺☺

  • Brings a tear to me eye but not sure why.

  • EXPLAINING MY LIFE OH MI A GOD

  • "Father snores as his wife gets into her dressing gown, picks up the letter that's lying there, standing alone at the top of the stairs, she breaks down and cries to her husband "daddy, our baby's gone",why would she treat us so thoughtlessly? How could she do this to me?" - Beautiful. This is my absolute favorite song from Sgt.Pepper,it's so beautiful and this may seem pathetic but it always makes me want to cry.

  • @rcurly11

Not pathetic at all. Just shows you show deep their music can strike you. Music does that to me all the time..feelings aren't pathetic.

  • i havent found 1 bad song from the beatles it is impossible !

  • @MrClassic96 I'm not too fond of Within You Without You, but otherwise spot-on, I'd have to agree. Withing You Without You is just too... instrumental? I mean I love instrumentals and all, but it just doesn't grab my attention.

  • Thing was, in 1967 leaving home for the first time was an amazingly important social issue. It was drama personified. You couldn't blow your brains out on skunkweed or shoot smack in your arse.......there wasn't any. Or if there was ordinary people had not heard about it. The Beatles were considered quite brave to put this issue under the spotlight. My, how innocent a time and yet we all thought we were dreadfully grown up..

  • Two things The Beatles influenced me to do:

    1. Run away from home

    2. Burn a condom on a wall (you'll get it if you've seen the anthology.)

  • so underrated

  • @manxfaerie ...Not exactly something to joke about :|.

  • One of my many favorite song :')

  • @keightlin true story

  • 11 People left Home.

  • This is crap. Beatles fans give the best reactions. Its just a song and a comment.............

  • My bad.. I have parkinsons disease, got the shakes and accidentally pressed the dislike button 11 times! SORRY!!!

  • best. album.ever.

  • @sciences8 You cant say that you have better taste of music because you are white. You are not the smartest because You listen to the beatles and maybe you know very few jazz or 50's-60's blues. You dont feel music. You mindlessly listen to it. Beatles are - no doubst - one of greatest rock/psychodelic rock bands. I praise them, but theres more music. someone on earth may could not like the beatles but could tell you everything of all jazz and blues artists. Could you name it bad taste of music?

  • @Korzenteapot

    Who said I was white?

  • Comment removed

  • @sciences8 Jimi Hendrix? Bobby McFerrin? Richard Bona? John Coltrane? Miles Davis? Gonjasufi? Blind Willie Johnson? Robert Johnson? John Lee Hooker? BB King?

Got to say rap isnt bad type of music. Everybody can like anything, if Dub step or Rap moves someone - artist have earned it. I dont see nothing wrong if philosophy of rap in form that it was invented. Melodies and groove in bunch of rap artists are awesome. Sometimes much better than in rock music. All genres shall be respected.

  • Press 0 to begin, 1 to leave your home, 2 to step outside, 3 for AAAwww, 4 for silence, 5 to um..., 6 to never athought for ourselves, 7 to day morning, 8 to she and press 9 for so many years...

  • 10 people have mentally 'left home'.

  • I Loovee Paul by: Flopy

  • 10 people live in opposite land

  • I don't see what's so special about this song.

  • @goonsauce it's one of mccartney's finest, beautiful songs. the amazing vocals are beyond all harrison songs and the fantastic orchestration gives lennon songs a run for their money

  • I totelly related to this song when I was 18 and left home. Memories remain. And I still love this song.

  • people pressed wrong accidentily button 8

  • @MrMGD92 ikr

  • @HildaMcFumble I love reading peoples reactions when leavin absolutely insane comments too.Now get back 2 your JLS cd.theres a good kid.

  • @HildaMcFumble The world disagrees with you, alien woman.

  • @HildaMcFumble

Are you black? Yeah, you're black.

  • @sciences8 Am I black!? What's that supposed to mean!? As a matter of fact I am

  • @HildaMcFumble

Black people don't like the Beatles. It's a natural fact. They also prefer crappy rap to good rock.

  • @sciences8 Hey! I know lots of white people with decent taste who detest the Beatles too! And I don't like rap music. Also, I'm English and I normally love anything remotely British in our American dominated media so all your racial stereotypes are nonsense. I hate the Beatles for one reason: they are poo

  • @HildaMcFumble

No. You just dislike the fact that I'm right.

  • @sciences8 You're quite funny, that was a good comeback

  • @HildaMcFumble

It's sad you thought that was an attempt at humor.

  • @sciences8 That is the biggest load of crap i have ever heard! i'm not black, but really? i would you say that?!

  • @4everClassicrock

You're not black... and you like the Beatles. This does nothing to disprove the natural law of races.

  • @sciences8 i know but you cnt say things like that...

  • @4everClassicrock

Clearly... that's what censorship is for.

  • @HildaMcFumble FUCK OFF YOU RETARD!!!

  • wish there was a love button

  • If I ever ran away from home this is what I would listen to

  • gr8 song.

  • this song makes my heart melt...there is a song with definate influence to this song by Panic at the Disco called She Had the World. just listen to it you can tell. Their whole album Pretty, Odd has a lot of refrence to The Fabs especially Sgt. Peppers. It's a great album.

  • Doesn't this song remind you of Paul McCartney's Biker Like an Icon?

  • i think this is my favorite beatles song, it was the first song of theirs i heard. my dad had it on a cd, and i've loved them ever since :)

  • this song made me cry once. It was really random. Ive heard the song a billion times but that one time it made me cry...weird

  • Fun is the one thing that money can't buy? But I was always taught that you can't buy love!

  • @NonExistentCodes Well, marriage is a fun thi-- nevermind, you're right. :C

  • An entire story in just over 3 minutes. This is what truly significant music CAN be. You can feel the emotion in it, the beauty of the melody, the composition, the harmony.

  • superb...song....best.....but 8 people can't here....so sad of them

  • 8 people pressed accidently wrong button

  • @azmouzi make that 9 for now who have disliked this

  • @hagdeath not me, other people

  • @azmouzi no... 12 people don't particularly enjoy this song.

  • @azmouzi 12 by now

  • So pure!

  • truly....truly....a beautiful song

  • best song on the album

  • its a litte bit hard to read

  • My Gma's Theme song when she ran away from home when she was a teenager.

  • This song would make me cry when I was younger.

  • Other than A Day in the Life this the best song on this Album! IMO, of course.

  • i had good tutor my music teacher loved the Beatles

  • why do people even TRY to compare today's music with yesterday's music (The Beatles) The Beatles is the greatest band to ever live. Period. END. OF. STORY(:

  • This is an awesome elegantly played song yet not many know this song very well.

  • This is the first Beatles song where none of the group played an instrument. Even in Yesterday and Eleanor Rigby, Paul played an acoustical guitar. The only other such Beatles song was "Good Night" from The Beatles.

  • @observer9670 wow....you are right.....i never realized that...none of them playing instruments.....man, this blows me away....I am pretty big on beatles trivia too. question.....was there other songs where this was the case?

  • @inkey2 Just those two. On all other Beatles songs, at least one of the Fabs played an instrument. In Within You Without You, George played a sitar. You could say that none of the Beatles "play" on Revolution 9 either, but are backwards tape loops from other White Album tracks - if that counts!

  • @inkey2

This and Eleanor Rigby, i dont think there are any more.

  • 8 people couldnt accept the fact that shes leaving home.

  • @heyshayshay101

but she's free now so leave alone

  • @stephanie4and3 i dont think i was asking you.

  • this music is ok but the newer music that is based off of the beatles like metal and such are my real favorite but that is just my oppinion

  • who's bieber?

  • Fun is the one thing that money can't buy?...I thought it was money?:)

  • The Beatles weren't just musicians. They were storytellers.

  • When I first heard this song I didn't appreciate it in contrast to other Epic mccartney compositions, such as Fixing a Hole and lovely rita, but after just really listening to the string arrangements and the whole of the song as oppose to the lyrics and just appreciating the genius it takes to compose something like this I've grown to dig it.

  • I am a huge Beatles fan but I have to say when I first heard this song it took my respect for the Beatles a few notches. I still can't take them the same way but I still have respect for them.

  • Is it just me or does this song bear a vague resemblance to "Lyin' Eyes" by The Eagles? I know this song came first.

  • How many songs these days can tell a story and make you feel it so deeply? Except maybe something from a PIXAR movie.

  • this song is so god damn sad

  • IN THE BEGINNING of modern music, were

    THE BEATLES

Greetings to all fans of REAL music from BERLIN

  • I just recently discovered that my favorite musician of all time, Amanda Palmer, borrowed the end of this song for her beautiful song "Australia"

  • My fav beatles song.

  • You people don't know what the real music is.

You should listen to Kesha, Kanye West, Justin 'God' Bieber, Usher, Black Eyed Peas etc.

You people listen to the Doors , Pink Floyd ( ugh, what a shame) , this 'beetle' shit, Anathema, early Metallica, Jefferson Airplane...

You people didn't understand what the real music is. I'll explain : It's the way of having fun, it's not an art.

    ...

hahaha guys, i 'm just kidding with teenagers :D

  • is anyone else learning this for english?? x

  • We just do this song in our English lessons :D

  • Thumbs up if I'm a thumbs up whore.

  • Like if you have official love for this song.

  • @spuddy No but that's ok. As long as i have the album.

  • Youd think the beatles would be a good impression on today's inspriation of singers today but they onjly made an impact for todays music to suck. i guess They wanted an Impact on the real fans, US!

  • I have one of the orignal Sgt. Pepper albums. :D

  • @mischmafflesman me too!! before I was even born!! LOL

  • bet you Paul wrote Yesterday of The good music, but is sad about today because of the rotten crap the radio plays Nowadays. :D Great Song , Though!

  • John Lennon + Paul Mcartney = Gold Dust

  • just heard this today,,,,i never thought it was a sad song..

  • thumbs up if....SAD SAD SAD!!!!

  • 甲殼蟲樂隊現場

  • This song makes me cry everytime I hear it, always has, and just did again. God, I love the Beatles, simply amazing all the feelings their music can evoke.

  • Preciosaa (L)

  • @wojiaokatya i had a teacher that did the same 4 me when i was living in my home country he would print out the lyrics to the song then play them in the classroom while we tried to sing along althought we didnt learned that much english we did learned about the best band ever =)

  • @chocolatosa21

I would have loved to have been at Your school.

  • Bootiful :)

  • thumbs up if you think that children need to be taught a class on the beatles. half a semester or so. i'm 27 and ten years ago I didn't like music. I came across a john lennon solo ablum and eventually loved all of their work. I know own a bass, electric, guitar, and a grand keyboard because of their work. Their is no high like nailing a cover of any(beatle or solo)

  • @wiecbb11 I LOVE this music Im half your age. MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER than the music disrespecting women. AKA current music

  • @wiecbb11 I competely agree with you. I'm 14 and want a class about The Beatles, my peers are totally missing out on amazing music, and listening to todays stuff. I'm the only true beatlemaniac in spite of 2 others, i know of at my school, and i feel sorry for the kids missing out. It would be an improvement for schools to do a class about them. I know I would defiently be in it. lol this may be to far, but a school for beatlemaniacs would be amazing because us young fans are always apart

  • @georgeharrisonlover5 omg exact same here! except only 1 of my friends share my love of the beatles.

  • @loppa900 My friend that has my love for The Beatles got it from me lol xD

  • Comment removed

  • @SgtPepper996 it would be amazing lol

  • @georgeharrisonlover5 So true. In my school there are no other beatlemaniacs than me. The school full of beatlemaniacs .. crazy, but cool idea. Sorry my bad english!

  • @wiecbb11 A lot of colleges offer classes on the Beatles now. Shows how influential and timeless they are.

  • @wiecbb11 so true. I managed to get to age 22 and not really liking any music. I just thought the musical part of my brain must be defunct or broken somehow. then I met someone who was a huge beatles fan and encouraged me to listen to their albums. I have heard their songs and covers of them before but when I actually sat down and listened to them I was simply blown away. I bought my first guitar a month after.

  • @wiecbb11 In music class we learned about the beatles, two weeks straight. I requested it though :D

  • @wiecbb11 My band teacher taught us how to play a happy song with the song Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Lucy in the sky with Diamonds. it wasn't a semester but i was able to sing random Beatles songs the rest of the year

  • @wiecbb11 We learnt Heaps about the Beatles today!

  • @wiecbb11 Not all children. I know kids who love Beatles and so much more. I'm one of them too.

  • @wiecbb11 I would actually enjoy going to school if they had a class on the Beatles...that would be the greatest thing ever.

  • I literally got into a fight with some people online about how I thought that most music out there today had no emotion, they called me a beatle lover and they said that I was stupid. Honestly? They also said that this song was stupid, seriously I know I don't know much about stuff out there today but at least I know what REAL music is

  • How, after the brilliant melody, lyrics and harmonies are written, do you decide to add a perfectly beautiful string and harp section? The Beatles continue to astound and captivate me! xxx

  • Is it possible to become a 'Beatleholic'? If so, the NHS is gonna have a LOT of cases on its hands!! ;D

  • this is about paul dieing in 1966 isnt it ? look the hoax up is Paul really dead it freaked me out n e-mial me what u think pearl@wpa.net im tweaking mannnnn

  • THE BEATLES---''SHE'S LEAVING HOME''

  • @www41WorldUSAcom lolwut

  • this is one of my favourites...

  • these guys are the best. this ones got a moral and good them too

  • this song makes me pity the deaf.

  • I HAVE A QUESTION. In the video description, it says that the stereo version of this runs slower than the mono mix. Is this also true for the Beatles' Abbey road album, because when I play the mp3 of a song from that album and then play the vinyl, the vinyl sounds a subtone higher than the mp3. Is this the case or is my record player have a slight;y higher rpm than 33 1/3?

  • 6 people cant hear.

  • @BeatleLover4everXD If 6 were 9 :) Oh, 9, John Lennon is turning in his grave ;)

  • Have always had an affinity with this song (Thanks your Mssrs Beatles)

  • These might be the best lyrics in any rock song ever written.

  • Quite simply this song is the perfect 10. NOTHING could possibly be added to it to make it better.

  • @wojiaokatya LUCKY!! My English teacher used Jack Johnson :P

  • @DradenInc do one mate, please your american and therefore I haven't got the time

  • @DradenInc how bout you calm down mate your the loser whos replying with no purpose

  • I used to think Beatles was just love me dos and she loves yous, but this is on totally another level. And I think this also shows how well Paul and John worked together...Absolutely brilliant

  • Anyone who reads this will know if they have had there kids leave home that this song hit the spot, a sad time for many of us in our life.

  • "She goes Down stairs to the Kitchen".. Where she Belongs :Z

  • @DavidalejandroMS LMFAO.

Can you imagine if they said that? hahaha.

  • @DavidalejandroMS Dude, that's so fucking true, lol. Bye bye, gotta find more recipes online, otherwise my husband's gonna beat the fuck out of me.

  • Thumbs up if you wonder: "What happened to music today"?

  • @campbra yes everyday when i have to listen to people at my school playing that stuff in their cars and on their phones and everything..

  • @campbra Look harder, it's there. The killers, coldplay, kings of leon, fleet foxes, band of horses, my morning jacket. All amazing bands. Check 'em out.

  • @TheWimperwell Excellent bands all...

  • @TheWimperwell those arent the only bands!!! there are also a lot of latin bands!! Cafe Tacuba! Los Tres! Autenticos Decadentes! El Gran Silencio!! and there is a huge amount of talentedd musicians out there that ppl dont really pay attention to :) you sometimes have to dig really deep to find a diamond

  • @campbra FFS not all music today is bad. Stop looking backwards and focus on the good of the time.

  • i prefer justin bieber ja ja no that´s not funny

  • this is why the beatles are so underated because when people think about the beatles they see the boys in suits but this shows how much they were powerful

  • 1 word (too many to name this beautiful masterpiece) Amazing :)
