Your forgetting what conference Lebron plays for - there was one year i think 2008 where the west have 7 teams with 50+ wins for the season. Lebron plays for the weaker conference so he can definately do more. Did you watch the season where Kwame Brown, Smush Parker were starting for the Lakers? @626SupremeLogic well here's the thing, dirk had an amazing playoff run and put that mavs team on his back, thats wat puts him up 4 me, not to mention he was a legit mvp candidate, he played like shit or just ok in the playoffs and his team carried him he wouldnt even be in my top 5. now on 2 kobe, 1st off last season he averaged 25.3ppg last season, and thats still good.....

@TheLilbigcat ...but when i watched him play last season, i saw a player who has slowed down, cant seem 2 take over games at will like he used 2, & more inconsistent than he used 2 be, this was aspecially obvious 2 me in the playoffs. about wade, him and dirk 4 me r interchangable, wade was better in the regular season, dirk was better in the playoffs. i gave dirk the edge because he put the mavs on his back and lead them 2 comback after comeback all the way 2 the championship and the finals mvp

@626SupremeLogic agreed, kobe's definitely a competitor, i can c him turning some heads this season (hoping there is 1). i do think durant is closing that gap and can surpass lebron in mabe 2-3 years, aspecialy if he can translates those improved ball handling skills from the summer leagues 2 the season he's been handling it like a GUARD! he also needs 2 continue improving his defence onball & passing lanes, & bulk up some. he has alot of potential,but i dont think lebron's fully tapped his yet.

Kobe's shot making ability ranks FAR above Lebron & yet he has a higher percentage because he gets more dunks and layups off of his athleticism and easy jump shots off of screens or because no one respects his shot. I disagree with the black guy's statement: " [Lebron] has done more with less throughout his career". NO, Lebron is gifted with his athleticism, Kobe is a much smaller guy, smaller hands, and less athletic. Kobe's basketball skills is the reason why he's being compared to MJ (not that I agree). What separates kobe from MJ is that MJ had both skills and athleticism, which made him pretty much unstoppable. Lebron is very athletic, but his bball skills cannot compare with someone like MJ.
