Westside took illustrations from the graphic novel -- still pictures -- and animated them, not only giving them the movement of eyes and mouth, but rendering an impression of 3-dimensionality, as well. Sloppy? Hardly. It's actually quite brilliant. But thanks for playing, anyway, Mr. DataFuneral.

You know, some people who upload videos WANT criticism from fans, not just other animators. When you go see a movie do you give no opinion whatsoever, or do you just give an honest criticism? I think everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how wrong or misinformed you feel they are.

Personally, I found the animation fine, but the voice-acting weak. Just because I am not a proffesional voice-actor, should I say nothing when my opinion may help the vid's author?

Laurie was just selfish and annoying. She keeps jutting in and talking when Dreigberg was trying to explain himself. She was really annoying in the novel. And her actress was equally awful in the movie. But the movie was fantastic otherwise!!

Liquify meshes and animating 'em time frames.. I dunno about after effects. Maybe, for some of the vintage screen effects.

Mostly, just any photo editing program that has liquify+mesh saving ability.

I've tried this before and it's fun, but can take awhile depending on how well you know the tools. Still it is interesting. ^^
