X album ...let's say it was good, but tour was pretty poor... They need more lasers, light effects and video screens to make really Leppardized show :)
God, it's the same in all Def Leppard videos. Stop comparing Viv and Steve, ffs. You people are annoying as fuck. We all love Steve, stop bitching about it like it's Viv's fault and let them play.
excactly man it wasnt vivs fault and good thing viv did come in after steves death because he fitted in very quick and did u no phil was gonna leave the band after steves death thinking no 1 could play guitar along with him like steve did, vivian fit the spot and phil stayed with leppard thank god , we already lost 1 memeber we cant loose another
hey u no wat go fuck ur self penalsystem ur a total fag ur user name says it all and these guys get girls u could only dream of but u dream of guys so either way u dont dream about girls and u try playing with one arm u fucker u wouldn't be able to do it so give one of the best drummers in history credit alright asswipe.
That is the hard part when a band loses a member be it to death, a breakup, etc. Both guitarists have awesome talent, but I agree, Viv will never replace Steve, and I would like to believe that even he knows that.
no offense to anyone but i really enjoyed steve clark. the def leppard original def leppards were awesome. im only 14, and i really hope that the real music like this is coming back, (this)
@shockwave2468 I remember being on an evening rush hour train in Dublin city, with my then soon-to-be-girlfriend at the time, when I saw the headline on the evening paper of Steve's death, the whole front page as I recall. I wasn't a 'huge' Leppard fan but it really struck me and it's a moment I haven't forgotten. It's nice to think that nearly 20 years later, he's still being appreciated.
@drkev that's how I was with Avenged sevenfold's drummer's death last year. I didn't listen to them "at the time" but i was kinda shocked. Although i don't really listen to def leppard "as" much as I used to, it's still amazingly fun to put in that cd every once in a while!! :D Steve Clark will always be appreciated bro! :D
viv is a great guitarist just like steve but viv is the better guitarist and phil is better then the two of them so meh!
if steve was so great why was he trying to break his fingers before going on stage? he obviously didnt want to be with def leppard i read it in a book so its fact in my eyes.
but who cares def leppard make great music steve passed away and viv got asked by the other members of def to play and he did so what! but i love them all r.i.p. steve
If you really think Viv was a better player then Steve Clark, then why the fuck does everybody else including me think otherwise? Just listen to Hysteria Live 88 on Youtube then listen to every other version with Viv....then you will realise there is something missing. It's called Steve Clark.
I was at this show, great show, good seats too, only about 15 rows back on the floor, I will say though, for a band of that caliber, the building was almost too small, didn't keep me from having a fucking awesome time though!
what's with some of you dissing Viv? It's not like Def fired Steve, he passed away. Props to Steve for all he contributed, but Viv is a good artist in his own right.
Its a tragedy about Steve Clarke but he left us with some excellent music to listen to and enjoy . What does it matter who was better the music is there and thats what matters.
you all seem to be bad mouthing Vivian but Phil is playing the parts that Steve used to play on this one.....i get that you all miss Steve and so do i but dont just bad mouth Viv to cover your hurt that Steve is lost... thats a pretty poor way to show your affection
oh please, Vivian is 100X the player Steve ever was. Steve was a better writer and was more important to the band but Vivian in his Riverdog, Whitesnake or Dio days was way way better than Steve, Phil or Pete could ever dream of being.
Nice try, that intro from the In Your Face In The Round Hysteria World tour is the best, but Steve's was better. Granted this isn't a professional recording compiled from multiple concerts. :)

yeah he was also into vodka too and that and he wazs so good he could play when he was slammed go stece miss you till then go phil and i guess vivian

yeah sadly it'll never be the same. but at least the steve's memory is alive

Steve Clark never went on stage drunk, he took his job very seriously, it was when he wasnt playing that he drank.
Franckdatankpart2 3 years ago 2
Steve always drank. He was able to control it when they toured. Steve was a great guitarist but Phil was better technically.

when I say better I am, of course, t alking as a player.
Steve was a more rounded musician on the whole. Viv needs writers to feed him, that has always been a knock against him....he is a weak writer.

bit fast. good nonetheless.
