any other sport can happen on Sundays Why shouldn't us hunters be allowed to hunt on Sundays? Me I'm all for it due to my time restraints to get into the woods. And if your a family that shares the outdoors then you should be able to do so hunting on Sundays Most of us work Monday -Friday leaving us only Saturday /Sunday Just Saying

@Crossbowcountryboy, Absolutely agree. Those of us working five days a week just don't get an opportunity, and it will be too the detriment of Virginia if we do not get the next generation of hunters into our woods to keep the deer population under control.

Now this is something I can get behind! Who would have ever thought that I would get a facebook account, my kids certainly didn't. It was easy and I didn't have to do anything other than join the group. There should't be any hunters that aren't behind this effort and supporting fellow hunters.

MTNhunt1, the problem is that the dog hunting groups are driving a wedge between hunters. I support any form of hunting if you support mine and right now the Virginia Hunting Dog Alliance is breaking the hunter's code and standing with PETA and HSUS. I'll remember that in the future. If dog hunters don't want to hunt on Sunday I'm pretty sure it will make it easier to pass if we carve them out of Sunday hunting.

I am all for sunday hunting, we as hunters all need to respect the people and wildlife that are around us and near where we hunt. As an avid deer hound hunter, I see no reason why sunday hunting should not be allowed....as long as the still hunter, bowhunter and anti-dog hunter doesn't outlaw my hunting with dogs.

I am not a hunter, but I did have my car damaged badly by running into a deer last year. Anything that can help thin the deer population and make the roads safer to drive on is a no brainer. Good luck with this!

The board of the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries has passed a resolution to "declare its support for the repeal of the statutory prohibition on Sunday hunting in Virginia."

Thank you for this video. I am a member of a hunt club and 3/4 of the membership is retired. I have to work alot and take my vacation to hunt. My kids only get one day a week to hunt and my hunt club is 3 hours away. I certainly am going to call my rep and see if we can equal rights for VA hunters since most of the hunters in US can hunt of sunday

Sounds good to me! There is already hunting on Sunday, so it seems reasonable to expand it to allow for all Virginians. I'll be asking my representative to see what his position on this is. If he's against it, I doubt he'll be getting my vote next time around.

Outstanding! I'll go check out the Facebook site. Being in the military, I never get a chance to hunt during the work week. I'd sure love to hunt with my family the whole weekend since I don't get any other opportunities.
