The Elephant Clock by Al-Jazari

I have been walking next to a statue of this clock for four years now (In Dubai, Ibn Batuta Mall, India Hall) and it never crossed my mind that this could be a clock made by a scientist from Baghdad, my home town :|

@muhannadsarhan Yes, our team were behind that exhibit in the Ibn Battuta Mall. However, it is not a statue. It is built to be an actual working clock. :)

The original does not exist any more. The replicas are built from the designs in Al-Jazari's original manuscripts.
