@swagman831 hey about your spur gear. If you are running a certain gear ratio when you switch to a lipo it could tear it up because if the torque difference. You might try using a bigger pinion. With my lipo I am using a 15t pinion and a 54t spur gear. You don't want to big of a pinion or it will burn up the motor/battery.

motor timing the mamba let adjust all the setting..........so you dont look like a dumm as wen u drive you truck i have the same mamba, but my truck has no stock parts. my slash will eat that thing up. put 500 doller into it then make a nother video

Dude... get a wheelie bar for god sakes... I have a mini revo and it did the same shit until i got a wheelie bar... you can even make one yourself... zip tie a pipe to a shock tower with a small wheel or 2 "mcguyvered" onto the end. We had to make one for the mini... but i think slash, stampede, rustlers, and larger revo has the wheelie bars available to order! trust me... its so much funner being able to full throttle it whenever you want without losing control

tried it with the original gears and an 11.1v lipo today, it did fly....until it melted the spur gear....ooops.

i would 100% recomend traxxas high current connectors, i would definetly go with lipo batteries, they give an astounding change, even the 7.4 volt, and if you dont have a charger, the duratrax onyx xharger is a great charger for the money, and btw, i have no idea what a royal flash is but i do know any car with mamba and a lipo has the possibilties of teleporting to the next block, good luck, jamie

you will not need a new receiver or servo and your gearing should be a little lower for offroading and a combo for speed will be higher than stock for onroad use

You need to change the pinion gear for the 23Toth 48pitch or higher if you want any more speed. Remeber the larger your pinion the hotter your motor/esc gets. Also you'll want to up the battery to a 9.6 or if you dont mind spending 100 minimum, an 11.1v 5000MaH LiPO

i recon theres not much init between all the brushless options , wether it be a

vxl 3500kv on 2s or 3s ,or mamba sidwinder 4700kv on 2s /or the mama max 5700kv on 2s or 3s lipo .the lower the kv the better acceleration but less top speed.more volts more speed less heat

it all comes back the pinion /spur gear size

and trying the find a good balance of both speed and handling
